The Dead Fish
Weekend and Monday Holiday Brunch 11 am - 3 pm
Great food and great service!
Sysco food and half assed service.
Early lunch with my bride
Service was great
The food was excellent
Clam Chowder was not hot enough when it arrived a just warm and when I mentioned it to our waitress she immediately to it back to the kitchen and returned with a hot bowl.
The bar could use a better selection of tequila but that’s just me as it is my drink of choice!
We will be visiting the Dead Fish again 🙌
The crab enchiladas were amazing! The price was worth it too.
The crab and shrimp skillet was great. Service was excellent.
Parking is challenging. I dropped off my wife and when I came in she had a table in the dining room since it was our first time we didn’t realize there was outside patio dining and she was not given that option at check in. Wish we could have sat outside it was a beautiful day.
We had family in town and wanted to treat them to a nice dinner with a water view and as always Dead Fish did not disappoint! We always love the food, the service, and the ambiance/views of your fine restaurant.
Very relaxing afternoon outside! Service was great! No corkage fee, awesome!
Very good food. Very good service. Great ambiance.
The best thing going for this restaurant would be the great senic views.....besides that the food is average at best My food tasted like a hungry man frozen dinner smh. A complete waste of a meal
This was our first time dining at the Dead Fish and we enjoyed every moment. Chad, our server, even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our 37th Anniversary celebration.
Everything was great, except. We where told at our 530 reservayion we couldn increase our party to 10. But when we got there , there was at least 15 tables open. We left around 7 and the place was just starting to get busy.
Came for anniversary. Food very good. Service was great. Screaming kid at next table was disappointing, but not fault of management. It’s what you get with early dinner sometimes.
Surprised with Happy Anniversary desert. Kind of pricey but overall good experience
Service, food & view SPECTACULAR
Memorable dining experience
It was my dad’s 71st birthday, the food was good, and the view was nice but the service was horrible. Our waitress was very rude and all of them seemed to be rushing us out. Very disappointing.
The mussels and shrimp dish was tasteless and the fact I had to peal every shrimp was bad for so call fine dining.
Second the bathroom was so dirty we all agreed if we had went to the bathroom prior we would not have stayed.
However the shrimp pasta was some what good. The tables are way to small for the amount of people they try to squeeze.
Three of was laterally pumping elbows.
It is not worth it at all.
Wonderful sunset, fresh crab and nice cocktails. The noodles and salad were fine but not memorable.
We sat outside and had a delicious meal with a very pleasant server. Service was great.
My friends & I come here about two or three times a year for dinner. They like the crab feed, but I generally get something else off the menu. The food is always great. My friends rave about the quality of the crab legs. The service is generally very attentive. Occasionally you get a server who is a lot of fun and adds that extra character to the meal that makes it a fun night out. Highly recommend The Dead Fish.
Such a fun place good food and an amazing view.
Haven’t been in a few years. The food was just as good as I remembered; if not better. We had fried artichokes that were thick pieces of artichoke and not a ton of excess batter. I had garlic noodles with crab that was great, but my husbands fish and chips was exceptional. The piece of fish was as big as the plate and the fries were super crispy.
I wish the services was as good. The support staff (the bussers and drink deliverers were prompt) but our server was lacking. He seemed bothered when asked for anything. (Such as bringing malt vinegar and katchup) it almost wasn’t worth asking him for anything.
Overall, I would go back for the food and the view.
Service was great. Servers very friendly and unobtrusive. Full bar was a plus. The view from the patio is spectacular.
It is an amazing place for any occasion, the service is wonderful, and the waitress/waiter are very nice
Old style diner, great decor and views.
Coffee was horrible, food - old style diner food, lots of fried choices.
Good for a visit but I wouldn't make it my local restaurant although it really tries hard
to be great.
Food was good. Was my 2nd time there and they were accommodating with diet.
Wonderful restaurant , parking can be a bit tough but there is an additional lot across the street.
the service was a bit bad it took us a long time to bring a plate the food is good but a lot of noise
We made reservations long in advance for the outside deck, but the restaurant could only seat us inside. The food is pretty standard, and somethings are substandard, but the portions are very large. I really cannot understand the popularity.
The food was delicious, our server (Robert) was exceptional, we can’t wait to come back soon. A very positive double date night!
Awesome day! Everything was awesome. My favorite spot!
Our lunch was on balance fine. The weather was superb and we lucked into a fine parking spot. Views from the dining room of the Carquinez Strait were largely unobstructed. The ambulance in the parking lot parked far enough to the side that we could squeeze out when we left.
The chief problems with TDF lie in the food preparation and service. Regarding the former, I think management in charge of the menu and the staff are content to coast. Except for the dungeness crab, which appeared in many of our orders and was sweet and tasty, everything we ordered would have benefited from a reset. In anything was memorable, it was not for the right reasons. A "pancake" with bits of desiccated fruit cooked onto the surface like roadkill on a hot highway is unappetizing ("Disappointing", to quote my 99 year old uncle"). Orders showed up in front of the wrong diner, or were incorrect entirely. Our young server was untrained. Example- Q: "How is Cotechino seasoned" A: "It's just regular sausage." She was insensitive to the dynamic of our group. Our party of 9 was a reunion, and we were in no hurry. She clearly however wanted to move us along, even though the room was only 20% full. The proper thing for a server to do here is deftly push drinks and let time and joviality enrich the gratuity.
Dear TDF: Hire a consultant and up your game. Or not. I've spent 15 min on this and thats about 13 too many. If you don't care neither should I.
Good access for 95 year old Mom. Unexpectedly good food.
The ambiance is great, but parking is impossible. The service (via Open Table reservation) was prompt and courteous. Took a bit for waiter to acknowledge us but then it was excellent. The only thing I have to say, however, is it is pricey for what you get...it's all a la carte and felt it is overpriced.
The service was great. Food came fast. Hot and flavorful.
I dine here often. it is one of my favorite places. This time I brought my brother here for his 75th Birthday and it was outstanding!! Mike enjoyed the meal and the experience. I will be back!!
Good food good service nice views.
Great food. Caesar salad was fishy. Short rib dinner was excellent. Service was terrible. Slow.
It was awesome
I love the Dead Fish
This is always our favorite spot in the bay area for a special occasion. Great food, service and friendly staff.
I had the romaine salad with beets added. My favorite salad. It is fantastic! We also had garlic noodles which are delicious but too oily. The view is always fantastic and the service was great. We always enjoy the Dead Fish.
