Outstanding as usual great crab and mussels, bread is excellent, clam chowder is the best - no corker fees let you bring a bottle from your cellar - we are local and eat here whenever we can!

Excellent service, food, and outdoor dining on a holiday allowing our family to sit down and enjoy one of the few meals we’ve been able eat together since Covid hit. We were extremely grateful for the much needed family experience.

Have eaten at the Dead Fish several times over the years..The service was outstanding as usual but the prime rib was chewy..Maybe it was due to being late in the day,8pm reservation..With premium prices no excuse for the food not being excellent..

Even with heaters on the patio it was cold. Food has always been a bit overcooked and not up to par. I go there because it is close but I try not to order any fish (way overcooked and unappetizing); cocktails are great and service is good.

Overall it was nice to be out during this covid thing with my wife on her birthday. I was a little disappointed in the fish and chips. First I prefer batter over bread crumbs. second it was a little overcooked in oil that was a little too old. For the prices here as a manager or chef I would never let that plate of food leave the kitchen. even the wait staff should recognize when fish is over fried. The Salad which was described to us as "bread salad" was really great. Mostly tomatoes with crostini, avocado and a very nice balsamic. My wife also ordered creamed spinach and mixed vegetables which were slightly undercooked, okay for the broccoli and cauliflower but too much crunch in the carrots. The spinach she said was really good. I don't eat cooked spinach but I tasted it and well, I don't eat cooked spinach.
We've eaten here several times with mostly great results and I understand what difficulties could arise when you can only seat outdoors but, they serve outside and have for a very long time so I did expect with fewer customers it would be amazing. When the reservations were made, we let them know it would be for a birthday celebration. When we arrived the host mentioned it and asked my wife if she was 27. It wasn't until we were ready to leave and my wife said something about her birthday that the waitress learned about it. she apologized and brought us a desert. Very tasty. We'll no doubt go back and hope for the best. Probably not until we can be seated inside and maybe not until can go out without our masks.

Beautiful evening outside - had dinner in Nov and the heaters in the tents were perfect for a lovely night out. Staff was attentive and very conscious of their distance. The restaurant did a great job with seating arrangements due to Covid. We were still able to enjoy a relatively normal night (which are few and far between nowadays). Food is SUPERB as always.

Our waiter Jonathan was excellent and so were the gentlemen who brought out our drinks, appetizers and cleaned up our table. The crab cakes seemed to be smaller in size and made in dirty oil. The bread was delicious. I ordered garlic noodles and they were over cooked (very soft) and did not taste like the usual garlic noodles. I was disappointed but it was one time out of 15 visits so there is that. I will go back because I enjoy this place a lot. Thank you.

Great fish. Lunch on the outside deck is delightful. I particularly liked their black linguine with clams and unfortunately, they removed it from the menu. Another causality of Covid is a reduced choice menu. But the fish sandwich was good and the fries quite good.

Our server was very slow. We weren't ready to order when first seated and then he didn't return for a long while. Someone brought our drinks but no wine glass for my wine. I watched our server go by several times until I finally flagged him down so I could have a glass. I was very irritated. After that he was much better.

We have missed the Dead Fish and were very pleased to get a reservation. Server was great and food and drinks came out quickly. One of our entrees was prime rib - requested medium. It came out well done and it took awhile before we could ask our sever to correct...when it came out the 2nd time, it was bloody rare - sent it back for 3rd try and before it came out, my husband had completed his meal as I did not want it to get cold. The 3rd try was medium but extremely salty. Very disappointing and certainly not worth the price. They also serve the sides (mashed potatoes and spinach) almost room temperature.
I waited months for a very disappointing dinner that I hardly ate bc my husband was done and I was tired of waiting...not sure we will be going back to a restaurant we have been going to for years.

Me and my friends ate at Deadfish for lunch. We enjoyed our food, it was a bit pricey but worth it. Customer service was excellent. Their seafood platter was delicious and loved their Tiramisu.
