The Dead Fish
Weekend and Monday Holiday Brunch 11 am - 3 pm
Beautiful view. Plenty of parking
Excellent as always. At least five birthday parties in progress.
The Dead Fish is always good for a nice meal. Seafood and Crab excellent. Had an issue with under cooked steak but service made the night right. Our server was pleasant and very accomadating. When the steak was sent back I received a corrected steak with new sides. Everytime we go to the Dead Fish we feel wanted and treated right.
Always fantastic crab and prime rib. Also love the creamed spinach!
Had dinner with friends a loved the eclectic decor and the great seafood. Crab chowder excellent and so was the crab for 2. Saw huge platters of seafood being served to other tables and will do that next time. Our new favorite place to dine! Casual and fun.
Yikes..... this place was terrible. The food was absolutely disgusting. I think the recommendation of the waiter for the hottest thing on the menu- garlic crab. For $50, i received a oil caked mess. Everyone disliked the food.... we will not return.
Delicious as always! Great service too.
Worth the drive for me, my daughter and for my brother, given 60 minute drives from opposite origins. The result was a wonderful experience of food with ambiance. Service was exceptional! Every item, from warm, crusty, bread, appetizer of bruschetta, side salads and clam chowder, followed by main dishes of kettle baked chicken, 1/2 portion crab, followed by deserts of salted caramel cake and chocolate bomb desert along with espresso all resulted in a very satisfying food feast! This is a very nice restaurant in my opinion!
Regularly visit and love it every time
We had 8:00 reservation and waited-standing room only-for 45 min. Once seated though food came quickly and was delicious. Chef may need to restrict the wrist when he is salting the food however. We would go again despite the initial wait.
This place has a fun, energetic vibe. Although it was super crowded, we were seated at our reservation time. We had excellent, attentive service and the food was fresh and delicious!
Everything was perfect! The only problem I had was I made reservations for 7pm and when I got there I was put on a list with 9 people ahead of me. So that was a little irritating that I had to wait and I had a reservation at a set time. But I loved everything else the food was amazing the experience was amazing and so was the staff. It also had a good mix of people there.
Nothing special..the ciopino was good.
We will go again.
We went for a nice Friday night outing. Had the whole crab, chowder, cocktails and some decent merlot. Great service, tasty food and a reasonable cost. Sat by the fire which was great! Just make sure you wear layers, it gets warm! Definitely returning!
Great experience. Attentive , didn’t rush us. Only problem is parking-we are handicapped but we’re lucky to find a park in front of restaurant.
Always a good experience with ambience
Great as usual !
We visit the Dead Fish at least 1-2 times per month and sometimes more often. We order seafood dishes 90% of the time and enjoy the food. Occasionally we will order Osso Bucco. The meat is fantastic but the sides always come up luke warm. Not sure if the plates are sitting too long before being brought out or the food in total is just luke warm. Would be nice to put the entire entree on of our hot plates after the meat has cooked or just randomly check on temperature of the sides to make sure they are hot. This has happened every time we order the Osso Bucco. Otherwise, we love the Dead Fish and recommend it to all of our friends.
Went there for hubby's bday, service was great, and the food was delicious. This place never disappoints.
Happy holidays 🌲
I’ve been many times for many different occasions and it never disappoints. It’s always busy and they are always quick but be sure to make a reservation and request window seating. Crab Enchiladas and the Crab Chowder (when it’s hot) are the best! Can’t go wrong with Free Corkage. Be patient with parking, very rare but you may have to park in the neighborhood and walk down the hill (and back up after a full meal!)
Great food, fast service, and awesome service!
Service, food, and ambiance are great at this restaurant. Views are very nice as well
As always, the Dead Fish was very good - we will be back !!!
Each room has a different theme. Food is delicious. The fresh baked bread and butter is addicting.
We had a GREAT TIME everything was excellent Food,Service and View
We love the Dead Fish restaurant. Have been going for a few years in a row now in early to mid December with our best friends for our annual Xmas lunch. We live 20 minutes away and our friends each an hour away but they gladly make the drive to meet us as they love it as much as we do. This year we sat outside opposed to inside. Even though it was cold out the overhead heaters kept us nice and toasty and we found we prefer outside opposed to inside as not as loud or crowded. We will be back again next December.
It was too long of a wait, even if you have a reservation. Food was mediocre. It wasn't worth the drive from Sacramento.
This was a reservation where everything fell into perfect harmony; the seating , the festive atmosphere, outstanding service, adult beverages, spicy oyster tapas and culminating by a fantastic garlicky crab 🦀 platter. Thank you, Dead Fish , we will be back!’
The food is delicious and worth the price! We usually come for special occasions or when we want to treat our friends to a great meal. The Servers are attentive and the atmosphere is always lively. You
must make reservations though because people love to come here! Overall, one of our favorite restaurants!
The food is good but overpriced. I always make a reservation and they NEVER honor it. This past weekend, I had a reservation for 6pm and they gave me a buzzer but couldn't tell me how long the wait would be. We sat at a table at the bar after 10 minutes of waiting. Service is good, depending on your server. The shrimp on the grill platters is usually overcooked, and it was this time. The crab was good. The new chocolate dessert is a mousse, they said, but it's not worth ordering.
The view is great, if you're seated where you can see the bridge. Nice place to celebrate but be prepared to wait for a table, even with a reservation.
We love this restaurant but the parking is really bad.
The service was great. The food was outstanding. I will definately go again.
Excellent service, very large portions, great views
Always a great time at the dead fish, we never get tired of it - fabulous food and drinks, great service and ambiance - the perfect halfway point for getting with friends and family from North and South Bay areas - well worth the drive.
Always a pleasure to dine here; friendly service, good food, great view.
I was craving crab. This was my first time at this restaurant and I was very pleased. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place so I decided to come try it for myself. Good service, comfortable atmosphere and an overall great place to eat. Will be back soon. Crab cakes are to die for!
Another wonderful dinner.
Dead fish is our go to for special occasions. Today was my husband’s 48th birthday. Food was phenomenal. Service was great. Definitely coming back. Until next time.
Great atmosphere with great service and food. Can’t ask for anything else.
Food was predictably good. Service provided by MJ was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. No corkage fee was a huge plus.
