The Dead Fish
Weekend and Monday Holiday Brunch 11 am - 3 pm
Great seafood and more
the food we order was pretty good. the staff is just ok we asked another portion of the dressing never got it. fantastic view plenty of parking
Food, service, and views are excellent. Menu is actually simple but there are options for people who don't eat seafood and for kids. Parking is limited and even for an 8:00 pm seating on Sunday I was glad I made reservations.
Went for my 4 year anniversary dinner and the food was AMAZING! 10 out of 10 recommend!! Price was not as bad as I thought it was going to be! We will be going back!!
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The decor and atmosphere was fantastic.
The Dead Fish is an amazing little Gem on the water. The Dead Fish was suggested to us for Birthday dinner and it was incredible! Our view of the bridge and our meals were fantastic. We will definitely be back!!!
Always amazing! Best ambiance and food. Seafood specialties are off the chatrs.
12 year anniversary
Dead fish delivers on ambiance and quality food. My only complaint is parking. Can be a bit iffy on the weekend..
Good food Need to update booth seats as they are too low for the table and very dated.
Excellent restaurant! Top notch.... parking sucks, all most got into a fight in the parking lot. On site parking / security stepped in. Make reservation it works well.
Me and my husband went because we were celebrating our anniversary and one of the waiters dropped our crab on the table and put it back like nothing spent 26$ for no reason .. we didn’t even eat it . Server wasn’t paying attention to us ,
The Dead Fish is my neighborhood restaurant so I do go there often because it is convenient, however, they have raised their prices again which is pricing them out of the mix. $25 for linguini and clams is a disgrace, plus they tend to overcook absolutely everything (including eggs at brunch, the crab and all fish). It's an expensive place with below mediocre food.
Excellent food and service. Nice view.
Major drawback is parking. Had to park seversl blocks up the hill as all three parking lots were completely filled at 5:30:pm Saturday night.
Fish is good (fresh), food generally has a lot of garlic, I would like a little less. Staff is great!
Love the dead fish it never disappoint
Believe it or not, our food was served too quick. We enjoy sitting & visiting for at least 10-15 minutes after ordering. My halibut was fantastic, however my husband said his choppino was over-seasoned. Our server seemed very stressed and rushed.
Food is really good. Crab feast was excellent. Pricey but yummy👍👍👍
Always a good meal. I never get past the excellent cioppino!
It was a warm night and the sunset was beautiful and then when it got dark the lights and cars on the Carquinez Bridge were beautiful.
Dead Fish is a fun place to drive to. Good food with good service & wonderful views. Worth the drive!
A classic- old style seafood restaurant and very well done!
Very good experience this time!
Good food and great view
Second time here and just like that time it was great can’t wait to come perfect food and service
This place is amazing and can get VERY busy at the usual times. Big groups should definitely reserve. I have never been disappointed and we stop whenever we are in the area. Outside seating is heated. Great views! Sunday brunch.
I was excited about getting the garlic and butter crab. That’s all you get with your order so for nine dollars I got the veggies and potatoes. By the time I was done cracking the crab and getting it out my husband was done with his food. I had all the butter and a little garlic all over my hands. Think the crab was frozen too. Crab wasn’t very garlicky at all. I could go on but don’t have the time. Just wasn’t that impressed
Our favorite restaurant between San Francisco and home (Davis). The outdoor dining is always fun. Great food, good variety and friendly staff.
Great hosting. We were seated right away—friendly, cordial. Server was really nice. He didn’t rush us at all & he was quite attentive. Overall, food was very good & service was excellent. The garlic noodles were especially tasty & classic margarita was perfect!
Never disappointed in the quality of food ordered there. I always am able to get a seat quickly, as long as I make a reservation with OpenTable!
We've always had great service at the Dead Fish but this time it was poor. Our waitress brought out the wrong entree to one of our brunch members so said she would get the right one. Meanwhile, everyone else had their food. He's waiting and waiting and waiting. Everyone else is done and their plates are cleared away when she finally brings his plate. By that point he had lost his appetite.
The Dead Fish has changed their fried fish sandwich. It arrived dry with nothing except lettuce and tomato on one of their signature rolls, which was way too small for the size of the fish. I had to request tarter sauce. Very difficult to eat the way served. I also had the clam chowder which was thick like oatmeal. There was no juice at all. Ratio of potatoes to claims was off. More potatoes Scant amount of clams. My friend had the garlic noodles, which were very, very dry. She asked for more garlic sauce. She was brought melted butter. My other friend was served enchiladas made with flour tortillas. She removed the flour tortillas and ate the contents.
The quality of the food has suffered since my last visit. I may try the restaurant again but not very soon. I hope this info is helpful to the restaurant. I feel We wasted money.
I would encourage people to ask for a seat with a view or a nice booth as due to where we were seated the experience was compromised
It was a bit too noisy, that's why I give only four stars.
Some of the food was a bit salty, but overall it was very flavorful.
Before seating guest, make sure the table and seating is cleaned, wipe down and dried.
The server was very friendly.
Love it here! Never disappoints...
We got together with friends and the view was spectacular. The meal was appetizing and we even had enough food to take home. We frequent the restaurant and haven't been disappointed yet.
Cocktails were delicious - brunch options were good - fish options were good - service was friendly at the bar and at the table - but the scenery was fantastic!
Wonderful meal, as always!
Service is great, though the prime rib quality has gone down. It wasn’t as good as before. It came out cold, and it was really chewy.
The waiter was very attentive, food was good. Unfortunately, the lasagne was cold, suggesting microwave preparation. Next time, we'll order seafood only.
