The service was slow and the food quantity was low. It was a popular time at the Davenport, but didn’t expect such poor level of service. The server did recognize it after it quieted down, and we were done eating.

Horrible value. The food offered was sub par at best. Everyone from the lady at the host desk to the inattentive waitress was rude. Crowded and loud.

We had a reservation for 1130 but we were not seated til nearly 1200. It was extremely crowded and loud. Buffet lines were confusing and disorganized. Food was displayed beautifully. The prime rib was superb, as was the sushi, lox, and shrimp. The fruit was lovely, so were the salads. Coffee was terrible, tasted scorched. Hollandaise sauce was tasteless. The grilled salmon tasted very fishy. Server was ok. Forgot iced tea for one of us, had to be reminded. Refills for mimosas were minimal. Asked if we were ready for the check while we were still eating? I have always loved brunch at the Davenport....now not so much.

Brunch was extremely busy, we were seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation. Due to the crowd, the noise level in the dining room was excessive - conversation was difficult with the quieter members of the party.

Service was top notch, food was very good.

We would certainly return, although we might try to choose a lower traffic weekend.

A group of friends and myself have came to brunch around my birthday for the past 5 years and we loooove it!! We have had Mary as our server almost every time and she is amazing, always so friendly. We all love seeing her every year and our funny conversations with her. The Davenport brunch is something we all look forward to every year!

The beautiful setting for our meal at the Davenport was a very nice experience. We enjoyed our Sunday brunch with all the available choices of the breakfast and luncheon items offered. It is a wonderful place for a relaxed meal surrounded by the old flair of a bygone era .

I travel throughout the US and believe the Davenport Hotel is the finest hotel we have. The doorman is amazing. The lobby is stunning. The reception is warm. The service is fabulous. The brunch is incredible. Did I say the lobby is stunning? Well, it’s worth repeating!!

We attended the Thanksgiving Signature Buffet and it was outstanding!!! An incredible amount of work went into preparing this and it definitely showed. The food was super, very high quality and plentiful. It left nothing for the wanting.

Overall our group of six thoroughly enjoyed the buffet. One person in our party is a vegetarian and another is gluten intolerant. Their food choices were surprisingly limited compared to other venues we've attended. Perhaps next year's Thanksgiving buffet could have a couple options for people with those dietary restrictions. All in all, everyone enjoyed the meal and the ambience of hotel. Our waitress was wonderful. We will definitely attend the Thanksgiving buffet again next year.

What is the point of making a reservation months in advance for 3 people and paying 65 dollars per person, only to be seated at a table set for 13? The Davenport Thanksgiving Buffet sets expectations high with its impressive menu and the ambience of the hotel lobby upon arrival, but that is where the positivity ends. Upon being seated at our huge round table for 13...all in a row, making it awkward to converse during dinner, and most likely appearing to others that most of our party bailed out, we waited for over 10 minutes before we finally beckoned to a waitress for another section of the room to take our drink orders. Ugh. The food itself varies from very good to bland. Highlights are the appetizers and the desserts. Fresh prawns and snow crab claws, along with a nice assortment of creative and well-presented salads and other offerings were delicious and varied. The desserts were also nicely presented and this year the dessert table was well-serviced and attended by staff, so the choices were kept well-stocked and neatly laid out unlike past years where one had to wait for refills of popular items and the tables were not kept from becoming messy. The main courses were ambitious, but only the turkey and the beef medallions were properly done and moist. The other meats, especially the fish, were overcooked and dry. The accompaniments were also, for the most part, victims of too much time on the warming plate. The macaroni and cheese was way past overcooked. The dressing on the other hand, was moist and delicious.
Still, even with the shortcomings of the food, the price would be almost worth it just for the indulgence and not having to eat leftovers for a week IF the hotel were able to secure competent staff who understand the real basics of good service and what is acceptable protocol for an upscale operation. A bill for over 200 dollars for three people for dinner warrants something beyond what the Golden Corral is offering in the way of customer service.

Everything was set up great. The food presentation looked awesome. The flavor was good but the issue we had was the temperature of the food was cold to luke warm. The bacon, potatoes, prime rib, pork belly, sausage, etc. everything was not very warm. We had an omelette and crape made in front of us and they were obviously warm. I would recommend to others but hopefully the temperature issue would be corrected.

The buffet at the Davenport was excellent!!! The prime rib was perfect as was everything I chose, actually. The waitress was very attentive and the mimosas were refilled regularly and were made with a very good quality of champagne which I really appreciated. Everyone in our party raved about both the buffet and the ambiance! I would certainly return when I'm in the area again!

Usually really enjoy the Davenport Brunch, however on this occasion the assortment and quality of the hot food section was 2nd rate at best. Prime Rib and seafood were both very good as they are signature items.

What a wonderful brunch buffet! It's honestly the best I've ever had in my life. Our server Michelle made sure that the unlimited mimosas were always filled and she was quick, funny, and very good at what she does. For $50, you cannot go wrong with this. While that may seem pricey, it really is not when you can get ahi tuna dishes, salmon, prime rib, BBQ ribs (fall off the bone good). There are so many awesome breakfast entrees like the omelet, crepe, and waffle bar...cooked to order with your own ingredients. This is just a small sample of the things offered at this brunch. I tried to limit myself to very small bites so I could try every item and I couldn't do it all! I will be coming back for the rest! Don't eat a late dinner before this...you'll need the room for all of the delicious items. Lastly, the room (ballroom) it was held in is gorgeous! The table settings and overall decor just added to the experience. It's a nice place and while you don't need a tux and ball gown, I enjoyed putting on my nicer blouse and "good jeans" for the occasion.

We have eaten at The Davenport hotel many times but, never the buffet. The food was exceptional and the service was great. The time spent in the Davenport is just a treat to the eyes with all of the art deco interior finishes. Truly a memorable place to stay and dine. And to think, the City of Spokane was going to tear it down and make the site into a parking lot.

We went to the Davenport buffet to celebrate selling our house. It was the nicest place we could think of to go. The food and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately we had a really terrible experience with service. Our server was nowhere to be found, and pointedly avoided our attempts to attract her attention when she occasionally made herself visible. We ended up apologetically asking other servers for coffee refills and beverages. While they were mostly nice about it, it was obvious they weren't happy about it either, and it was both embarrassing and disappointing after dropping $200 on breakfast for four.

We've been to the buffet many times. Normally I give it 5 stars!! But a few things fell short this time. I always look forward to the short rib dish and the salmon and chicken.... however this time it wasn't good. The potatoes were an unappetizing glue and the chicken stale and overheated. But I'm totally being picky bc this experience is amazing!!! The service is spectacular. But most of all the setting. In the beautiful historic Davenport. There are no words. Just do it. Insider tip - go a little early and do the Bloody Mary Bar. Such fun and variety and the lady is a hoot. She truly loves what she does and is a real artist. My other favorite part of going is seeing the young families with toddlers exploring the koi pond and mesmerized by the chocolate fountain. And the DOGS! Thank you Davenport for keeping things tastefully accessible to our beautiful four legged family. I love to see people experiencing our history and making memories for a lifetime. Oh and the prime rib...... get it!! And we experienced the white chocolate peanut brittle for the first time this trip. Omg crazy. It's like their soft peanut brittle on crack. On a cloud. In heaven. Amazing.
