At first, our server reflected the overall trend in Starr restaurants to attempt to get you in and out as fast as possible. Turning tables seems important to them. But if you hold your ground the server backs off and you can enjoy a leisurely meal. Service was timely. The food is delicious and well prepared although dependent on the dish, the portion may be too small for some people. Prices are high at $50/person on the low end of it.

I went for Saturday brunch with a friend. The vanilla brioche French toast was amazing! Great atmosphere. Very charming upstairs. I'll be back.

Stumbled on Dandelion and it hit the spot for a weeknight out. Our salad and soup options were tasty, seasonal and well presented. The main courses, Branzino and Steak and Chips, were also nicely presented, tasty and reasonably priced. The waiter couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly without being intrusive. We'd go back again when we're in Philly.

The space is very eclectic with various floors and rooms. Brunch (burger, shepard's pie) were good. Service was awesome. Highly recommend.

I brought my girlfriend here in search of an authentic black pudding for brunch, which she graded a B+ (it was tasty and spicy). We were seated upstairs and the decor was charming (if a bit kitschy). The big window made it much brighter than the downstairs rooms, and I think we would not have enjoyed sitting down there as much. It was a bit noisy but not so loud that we couldn't converse easily (although we could hear our neighbors very distinctly). Our server didn't pressure us (which was nice).

I had never heard of this restaurant, and I did not even know it was a Steven Star establishment. I just wanted somewhere to take my British mom on her birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by food, drinks and atmosphere. I loved my vodka punnet. I also chose the healthier fish dish, and it was delicious. Service was friendly and not rushed. I'm looking froward to going again. I liked the 3 floors and small bars. It was an easy walk to Walnut Street Theater afterwards.

We really enjoyed the restaurant- great food and ambience awesome! However, Open Table should specify that dinner menu doesn't start until 5. We arrived at 4:20 for our 4:30 dinner. It was still on Tea/ Lunch menu. We were told we could wait around for dinner menu or have the abbreviated menu options!

In the end, recommend highly!

We were here for Sunday Brunch. Loved the choices and the food was great. The plates had large portions. The French Toast was huge and delicious. The eggs benedict royal were fabulous. The service was great and loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The Dandelion is perfect inside and out. The exterior is adorned with numerous planters from pavement to roof. Inside there are lots of wooden panels, interesting lighting and stained glass. The menu has lots of British favorites and we went for afternoon tea. There were a great selection of sandwiches and cakes.

Fish and chips had some of the best beer battered fish I've ever had. Cocktails were amazing. Chips were disappointing and soggy. Medium burger was tasty but cooked medium-rare.

Nice pub atmosphere with amazing food! The bread and salted butter were fresh and a great start. The salmon and tuna spread was tasty. But the rabbit pie; I just don't know what to say or where to begin! This is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth!!! If I were in town another day I think I would go back and eat it again.

Have been there several times and never disappointed. The closest thing to a real British neighborhood pub ("local") we have come across in the area.

One of my favorite spots to take people visiting the city. If you can get a seat up stairs the view is spectacular with the skyline as the backdrop

This was my 3rd visit...the prior two were for lunch and were good (not great.) This time I was very disappointed. The menu stated that the salad had cheese, but there was so little we questioned whether it was added (waitress claimed it was.) The appetizer portion was tiny (salmon cakes) and they were actually deep fried over-cooked fish balls, not cakes at all. The entree we shared (shepherds pie) was cold in the middle and had to be remade.

I love cool temperatures, but the restaurant was downright FREEZING to the point of discomfort in long sleeves. There was no way to adjust as the whole second floor had this issue.

They offered us free dessert because of our entree issue, which we were not planning to order. We gratefully accepted, shared a dessert, only to be charged for coffees.

There are too many great restaurants in this area to waste your time here. Don’t bother.

The Dandelion is an eclectic bistro created in an unusual building with preserved charm. The food was amazing. The service outstanding. My only suggestion is that it really isn't gluten-free as advertised. Offering only salads, eggs, or bacon doesn't indicate gluten-free options. What would make this place even better would be to include real GF food.

Not our favorite Starr restaurant, but definitely worthy of the Starr name. Ambiance was a little strange, needed a bit more 'pub' and less 'fancy'. Food was excellent and had plenty to choose from. Ricotta with sourdough starter was great. Staff very nice. 4 people, one cocktail apiece, one shared starter, 4 entrees and 4 desserts $250 with tax/tip - I think spending this at Barbuzzo would have gotten you even more memorable food and at El Vez, would have gotten you a lot more of it.
