   Perfect in every way for our tiny family celebration: birthdays, anniversary and Mother’s Day. Philly is our meet in the middle destination and The Dandelion could not have served us better. Arriving early, they accommodated us with a quiet table, fabulous food from oysters and cheese board with hearty cocktails and dinner to serve GF needs and beyond. The candle on the toffee dessert and the espresso martinis capped off a fabulous evening. Thank you Allie for not rushing us: welcome to the family!

   From the moment we entered, we were greeted and treated very well. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and we took a risk of trying a restaurant we never had. Dixie was our server and was A+. Very knowledgeable, attentive and great at her job. Complimentary champagne was a classy touch to start us off as everyone wished us happy anniversary. I was thoroughly impressed. English fare with an Olde World European vibe, great alternative music suited my 50 year old ears well. Homemade bread with salted butter were brought out shortly after being seated. Starters were Crab croquettes with a curry sauce, oysters with a unique sauce I’ve never had, and deviled eggs. I had the steak and Fritz, my wife had fish and chips which was second to none. My Old Fashioned had a nice spicy kick to it and they have a great beer selection which included Cask Ales. Dixie was very generous and gave me a taste of the 2 they had available to help me decide. I had no room for desert but couldn’t resist trying the chocolate custard, which of course was amazing. We will be back soon and often!

   We had a fabulous dinner! The drinks and the food were wonderful as we celebrated our daughter’s college graduation!

   I took my team to lunch today as a thank you. The experience we had at this restaurant was absolutely amazing! Our server Helen was fantastic and very attentive. I’m looking forward to taking my team there again for lunch very very soon.

   Really good food, lovely atmosphere, great service. Nice beer selection, great happy hour specials. Highlight of the night was the madras curry deviled eggs. But the rabbit pie was excellent as well. Only issue is that I did find a bone in the pie, but that does happen sometimes with rabbit. I would absolutely come back here. I’m interested in trying the cocktails; this time, I just had a draft milk stout, which was lovely.

    Over time I've eaten most of the items on the menu here. This is an English themed restaurant meaning a comfortable dining area, pub and a tearoom upstairs. It is a fairly good value compared to other restaurants in the area. It's popular and now they have no sign telling you the restaurant is there but customers still know the place. There are a number of British items on the menu such as bangers and mash. It is one of the few places where you can get rabbit in a pastry. The food is good but not designed to rise to culinary heights. The exceptions are the desserts which are very good and more innovative takes on English ingredients. Another major plus is that you can actually have a conversation with your dinning partner(s). This may be due the place being divided into smaller rooms. Service is good and up to the standards you expect from a Steven Star restaurant.
