I am a regular at Dandelion and I love the food. To top it all off, however, is the wonderful staff, from reception to servers to bus staff - they are all helpful and courteous.

It was the Sunday Roast that brought our group here, and while that was absolutely fantastic, it’s really the atmosphere, service, and cocktails that push this place to 5 stars. The building is beautiful and extremely well decorated, with various separate sections that kept noise low and the atmosphere more intimate — we even ended up chatting with our neighbour table. The servers are extremely attentive and proactive, the drinks were delicious, and the food was absolutely stellar. We split 2 roasts across 3 people, and still ended up bringing a big box home, so I’d say portions are generous and the price to quality is pretty phenomenal.

Absolutely delicious. We had English Breakfast and mint tea, scones for an appetizer and then we both got the English Breakfast as our brunch entree. Everything was absolutely spectacular. Can never go wrong with Starr!

We eat at Dandelion quite frankly with groups when working in Philadelphia. Service is quite good, food very consistent and excellent quality. We really enjoy the atmosphere and different seating spaces to accommodate groups of 5-8 people.

It’s a cute quaint restaurant not meant for elderly due to old stairs. Maybe that is why our waitress kept forgetting the bread basket which she mentioned 3 times and later never showed up with it. She also misinformed us about a drink we ordered. Crab cakes tasted like a frozen processed dish, everything was subpar except for the carrots. The rabbit pie tastes like chicken, the lamb sheppard pie was decent and the duck ragu was not bad. Mains don’t come with any veggies fyi. Waitress also brought the wrong dessert but luckily the banoffee dessert was prob the best thing on the menu. I think it must be a great restaurant for Philly standards.

Hey Carol, We're really sorry to hear about your experience at The Dandelion. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, and it sounds like we missed the mark this time. We understand your concerns about the staircases and the mix-up with your order. We also apologize for the lack of attention from our server. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed our banoffee dessert, and we hope that despite these issues, you'll give us another chance to impress you in the future.

We ate here twice on a recent trip to Philly. The bar/pub area is where we sat both times. Great vibe. Great service from both bartenders Friday and Saturday nights and our server Dante ! The food is amazing. Fish and chips are outstanding. Crisp not greasy at all - cod super fresh! We also had the dandelion salad which was perfect. The second night we had the tandoori chicken which is just simply amazing. Tender and a perfectly flavored blend of Indian spices with a dash of English conservativeness! We also had the artichoke risotto which was creamy to perfection . Both nights we licked plates clean !! Will definitely come again !!
