Excellent! Great lunch spot and would love to try it for dinner!
We had our anniversary dinner there. The food and service were excellent! Highly recommend the shepherd's pie.
At first they put us in a very cramped corner table, but we asked to move. They accommodated us and everything else was wonderful. Sunday Roast was amazing and makes me miss London!
Always a pleasure. Our meal and service were exceptional. I would highly recommend The Dandelion.
The food was outstanding! In fact my wife said that the chicken sandwich was the best she had ever had.
On the other hand, the service was poor. We ordered an oder of scones and asked for all of them to be the regular raisin ones. When the order came out it was split between the ones we ordered and the chocolate coconut ones. It took a while to get this resolved. One of us ordered toast and it came w/o butter. It tool a while to get that resolved. We asked for salt and pepper. The waitress brought a pepper grinder out and gave a few twists. She then brought out a jar of very coarse salt that really couldn't be used on an omelet- in a soup perhaps, but not an omelet.
Finally when the check came we split it between a credit card and gift card. When it came back, the amount bore no resemblance to what we ordered and one of the slips to sign was for a completely different order. It tool a while with the manager to get this fixed.
Excellent food, poor service. I'm split between coming back.
Favorite spot in Philly. Atmosphere, comfort food, great drinks. All you need. Love it.
The food was delicious.
Dinner with long-time Friends/colleagues. Restaurant was very noisy and it was difficult to converse comfortably.
It was even more impressive the third time around. Great atmosphere and a very satisfying dinner.
I've had dinner at The Dandelion several times but this was the first time for brunch.... we'll be back! Excellent menu! Execution was on-point (as usual) and the cocktail program is excellent.
Everyone we encountered was lovely! The hosts were welcoming. Our server was delightful. The food was delicious and well presented. Look forward to going back to Dandelion!
No matter what meal I have at Dandelion, I am always happy with my choice. The food is always delicious. This time I had the poached eggs over bubble and squeak (vegetable medley) and it was perfect. The scones are baked in house and were heavenly. The service was impeccable, as always. It's a joy to eat somewhere that the staff so clearly enjoys as much as the customer.
Great meal. Diverse brunch much menu. Exceptional service. Beautiful room and ambiance. Every time I come I find something I never saw before. It’s spectacular. Never gets old. Lol. Antique and well preserved items galore. Food. Off the chain. Can m driving from the diner s to eat French toast” so right there you realize it’s not your mom- moms French toast. So darn good and she was a great cook. Hats off from operations to food deliver, taste and temp. Rocked it!! Thanks for keeping it amazing every time. Sustainability is really hard to master.👏👏👏
Overall good experience. Food was very good but included too much salt and seasoning. We had the salmon couscous.
Service was slow. Food was decent but not worth the cost.
The food was delicious! It was restaurant week and we got the 3 course meal. My guest has the carrot soup and I the ham open face. For entrees we both had the lamb Shepard pie and it was the best entree I have had in years. The gravy had a rich flavor. For desert we both had the sticky toffee and it was fantastic!
The waiter was not friendly- we got a new waiter half was throughout the dinner and the food was salty.
Excellent service, wonderful food, and the restaurant week deal can’t be beat!
Shabby chic, peeling paint, filthy rugs, barely passable bathrooms but absolutely wonderful food!
Our server Michael was the best! We will be back!
We went during restaurant week. We both had the beetroot cocktail: phenomenal! We both loved our apps: carrot soup and ham toasties. I had the salmon on top of curried chickpeas, which was a wonderful, exciting mix of flavors and textures. He had the chicken w/ lentils, which was good, but lacked the same excitement. The pudding cake is always scrumptious. The panna cotta was fine, but the sticky date pudding...delish.
It was a great environment to relax and eat.
We had a great brunch with them on Sunday. The service and food were outstanding
I had the spinach and feta omelet and my son had the French toast. Both were excellent !
Really enjoyed it , however the room we were in was quite cold.
Actually a little concerned that the food came so fast. Even our out sate friends commented to me on this. I said they were just prepared due to restaurant week being so busy.
Get the steak. The cheese board and the tandoori chicken were also really good. Service was excellent. My cocktail was OK, but the beer selection wasn't bad.
Warm ambiance, excellent service and delicious, gourmet comfort food.
Birthday. It was well done. Food was excellent
A very disappointing experience. We've eaten here numerous times before and had friendly, charming service and a good meal. This time we arrived mid-afternoon to find Janis Joplin blaring at top decibel. Somewhat taken aback, we asked for the quietest table possible. We were taken upstairs and seated directly under the stereo speaker. I asked to be moved and the waitress disappeared for over ten minutes. On return she said that wasn't possible, despite the empty dining room and numerous better tables. Rather than eat a meal in dead silence, as conversation was impossible, we went down the road and had charming service and an excellent lunch. Why would I return here? You ask me - the service was less than a one star. Food - we can't say - we didn't get that far.
Love the atmosphere and the menu, lots of choices and our food was great. Nice draft beer selection. Waitress was a little slow, but not terrible.
The dandelion is a very cool place to eat. There are multiple dining rooms and it feels like a converted mansion to restaurant. We loved the fireplaces and the general decor. We split the ricotta appetizer which was very good. My fiancé got the salmon papardelle which he liked, I got the shepherds pie - not mind blowing but I liked it very much. I wish we had gotten dessert, the toffee pudding sounded good!
Had a great time - food and service, as always, was excellent. Pretty tight quarters though (tables very close together).
Phenomenal atmosphere. Food was prepared to perfection.
My son joined me for an early dinner during restaurant week, Monday 1/3/2020. It was delicious and the restaurant week menu was well done! Thank uou
Always cozy and great service - would definitely go back. Yum brunch - try it all!
Atmosphere is so beautiful and old. Loved the food and service. We had a wonderful time.
The Dandelion never disappoints. It was wonderful
This place is awesome!
We have been to the Dandelion many times—for brunch and dinner. We always have a good experience. Love the ambiance, and the food is delicious. Brunch favorite is the French toast. They also have a fabulous Pimm’s cup. Next on our list is the afternoon tea!
