I keep wanting to love The Dandelion and I keep thinking that I’ve made poor ordering choices but after 3 visits that have ranged from disappointing to at best, meh, I’m done trying. The food simply isn’t there. The the space is lovely, the servers are generally good, the bussers are aggressive, the food is lackluster at best - though the portion sizes are more than generous (which isn’t really a plus as it’s not very good).
Delicious brunch and great cocktails
Perfect luncheon with my daughter in law and granddaughter!
it was a little cold on the second floor. Need to turn the heat up a bit
Nice place to have a drink and good food
Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff, and awesome food
My group wanted to eat outdoors and Dandelion had very warm outside units. We were very pleased.
Was seated quickly and the friendly server appeared quickly as well. Decor was fun, so many doggos! I had the Dandy Burger, which is one of the best burgers I've ever had. The combo of ingredients along with the chuchhill sauce was 10/10, and my burger was cooked perfectly to the requested medium rare. As I was finishing, I saw a table next to me get the Fish and Chips, looked wonderful, and would definitely try next time!
Very nice settings for a great brunch with family and friends. Among others things we had the samon and trout pate on black bread toast, the Royale and Bagel and Smoked Salmon.
One of the best smoke salmon I ever had.
And kudos to the staff in these difficult times.
Lovely waitstaff and great upscale British pub vibes.
Food was good, could use more selections on the menu. Service was OK, think employee shortage is the cause. I would rate this restaurant as a 3 out of 5 overall.
Ambiance only OK because we were eating outdoors and it was 25 degrees
Great first experience. Tried the fall root vegetable soup and Lamb Shepard's Pie which hit the spot on a cold winter day.
We had not dined out with my in-laws since the pandemic so this was a memorable moment. The Dandelion was perfect for the occasion.
Bad night for the kitchen. Fries were not fresh - tasted old and reheated. Steak was also not freshly cooked. Salmon was fine and pints were good
Thank you for your feedback. We will reach out to you privately.
Always a solid choice in the neighborhood and staff is very friendly.
We enjoyed the eggs benedict - one with spinach, one with meat - for brunch in an outdoor booth. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the booth was very private and cozy.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Cocktail Drinks were made perfectly and loved the international beer list.
We had dinner here on New Years Eve and it was incredible! Service and food were outstanding! I just can’t say enough about this wonderful, amazing restaurant!
Good atmosphere and good food!
Great ambiance and service. Food was delicious, and the rose mimosa was amazing
Good was great. Our only complaint is that the room was sooo cold with cold air blowing on us. Couldn’t wait to get out to the warm.
Delicious food, friendly and helpful servers, and an excellent ambience make for a lovely experience every time.
This place never disappoints! The Welsh Rarebit and steak and chips are to die for!
The food was delicious, and everyone in our group of five agreed. The service was attentive but not overly so, and our outdoor dining experience was warm and comfortable. It was a terrific experience all the way around.
I love this restaurant. It is dark and cool in the summer and cosy in the winter. Around Christmas they do a beautiful job of decorating. The food is really good and the service is outstanding.
First time at the Dandelion. Fantastic all around - nothing else to say, really. Thanks for a great experience :)
Great meal. However the dinning experience was negatively impacted by the lack of heat. The manager was very nice but the heat never came up. A shame because food was excellent
Had to wait 15 minutes before server appeared at the table. French fries were soft.
We absolutely loved The Dandelion! The food was amazing and the service was great! We will definitely come back next time we’re in Philly!
Great food and great service. I would go back again!
Walked in at 11:20 for an 11:30 reservation. It was 30° outside and host told me I had to wait outside for 10minutes until they ‘opened’. Nearly went elsewhere for lunch.
Waitstaff was very pleasant. We were the first there and got a nice table. Ordered the shephard’s pie. Also ordered was the chicken sandwich.
Shephard’s pie was served in a cup/bowl. What you’d expect a french onion soup to be served in at a chain restaurant. Sorry, but it was mostly cheese and potatoes (tiny bit of lamb) so $20 seemed like robbery. That speaks volume to management. Expected better. Not what I remembered when there last 6 years ago. Everything was excellent then. Not sure if I’ll go back. Just too many options in the city from which to choose.
Loved the outdoor dining option during these crazy Covid times. Despite the cold weather, the heat provided was perfect! My server was helpful and friendly and the fish and chips exactly as I expected. Delicious meal!
Service was great!
The Dandelion never disappoints! Our server was fantastic - friendly, would check in regularly but not too much. Both the food and drink are great, everyone loved their meals - a good mix of comforting but different.
Great food and atmosphere! Our server was fantastic!
Go here frequently. Good vibes overall; always enjoy the food, this time, however, pretty rough service. Dude was super unwelcoming the entire meal and we (my sister and i who were enjoying our only holiday time together) felt very rushed by the end to get out of there. Mind you we were only there for 75 minutes. Totally rubbed me the wrong way but may return at some point.
Time at The Dandelion is always memorable. Food, atmosphere, and service have been great each time I’ve been.
Great beer selection! We had the pate for an appetizer, Fish & Chips, Bangers & Mash, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. All were excellent. Great service and great ambiance. A lovely evening out!
