Delicious food, fast service- a little too fast. But great service.
Food and atmosphere were both excellent, service was very quick and efficient
The food is always delicious! The crispy pork and braised lentils were amazing, the meat just fell apart. The housemade ricotta is a must try, lick the bowl good. Lastly, the beef tartare with watercress salad had the perfect combination of textures with the crunchy sourdough toast. The whole meal and service was great!
The sandwiches were lovely, but I was dismayed to see PLASTIC teabags in the pot! I'm afraid I would not order tea here again.
Perfect atmosphere and great food! Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!
Everything was outstanding, but the deviled eggs and pate were superb.
Fun night out with our college age kids—great food and drinks
Fantastic food and great ambiance!
Great afternoon tea.
Great experience, delicious food, nice staff, beautiful place.
I liked it a lot but it was SOOO LOUD!!! It WAS a Friday night but still, could hardly hear ourselves think.
The food was very good - we had steak, burgers and pork belly. I also had a Dandelion salad which was fresh and lemony. The sticky toffee pudding was especially scrummy, and the service was outstanding.
I had indicated in the reservation that it was a special occasion (birthday) but nobody noticed that, which was a bit disappointing because I didn't have the opportunity to let the waiter know.
I would recommend it as a gastropub experience - lots of fun but be prepared to have to shout your head off to be heard unless you go during the week.
Fabulous food and excellent service! Love the Dickensian decor as well one of our favorites. Thanks again.
Beautiful fantastic pub atmosphere, like you might be in a London neighborhood establishment, not cheesy and fake like most pubs. Innovative takes on traditional dishes, great beer list, and house cocktails. Great service, great overall experience.
Nice place, cozy on a winter night. Food was good, drinks were good, service was excellent. Enjoyed the evening, would go back
Searing space was the only deficiency.
It's always a great experience at The Dandelion. Thank you.
Slow service. Took 3 trips for 3 drinks. My daughter asked for no mayonnaise on grilled chicken and avocado sandwich and chicken was slathered in a mysterious red sauce. Fish and chips were served as one large hunk of fish that was wet inside. Waitress was apologetic but she was slammed. Asked for a Mai Tai and was told they couldn’t make it. No rum? Bill was $120 before tip. I won’t be back.
Every time we’re in Philly we make a point of coming here! It never disappoints! Delicious, lovely ambiance, good value-makes for a must -do every time!
Great reincarnation of an old English restaurant and pub. Took me back to my time at the University of London, which is a really great memory. The Yorkshire pudding was a little over cooked, but the roast beef was perfect. Also enjoyed the flight of old English beers. Outstanding service. Wonderful ambiance. We will be back!
It was wonderful, everything was amazing
We had a wonderful brunch this past Sunday! The Full English Breakfast took us back to a recent trip to London!
I enjoyed the service and being taken care of here. Everyone was wonderful and on top of things. The food was great and the ambiance was great and lively as well which set a really great mood seeing everyone just happily chattering and enjoying themselves.
Always an enjoyable experience. This time with a friend from out of town; he also enjoyed the meal and service.
This was my second time having Afternoon Tea at The Dandelion, and my third time dining overall. It was just as tasty as my first two times! I went with my boyfriend--it was busy but we had a reservation so we were seated relatively quickly upstairs. Our server was attentive and did a good job reviewing the various offerings. We ordered the A Royal Occasion spread with a pot of Earl Grey tea, as well as a side of chips. It was plenty to eat for the two of us--we actually ended up taking a good portion of the sweets home with us. The chips are thick cut--more like steak fries than the sort of standard size fry--and were very tasty. Overall this is a fun, unique spot to enjoy an authentic and delicious English tea time experience!
Great staff and drinks and food!!!
Such an extraordinary experience- ambiance and feel of the rooms just puts you in the right happy place. Excellent food and in our case, lunch menu. A ‘“must” while in Philly!
Loved the basil punnet drink and the dandelion salad! Will be back for more.
Food was excellent
Amazing place for a date, the cheese board was EXCELLENT
Food was delicious. We shared the roast special, it was amazing. The cheeseboard was fun and made us feel adventurous. Apple Crumble for desert was heavenly. Salmon Cakes for appetizer was not my favorite, a little underwhelming. Service was mediocre (at best), though it was Valentine’s Day so perhaps they were understaffed for the flow. We had difficulty getting our waiters attention, and she failed to offer us many of the options she gave the table next to us (like pepper!!). We also struggled to be seated (even though we had a reservation) and they tried to force us to sit in the bar area.
We've been to Dandelion several times (including brunch) and they never disappoint. Love the food, the atmosphere and the service.
Valentine family night
Appetizers were great, but even more amazing was the ambiance of the entire place. Romantic, intimate, cozy. The great food was just a bonus.
I love afternoon tea at the Dandelion and plan to come again. We came on Valentine's Day and the room we sat in was too full. It was a little chaotic with a loud family with young children nearby. The waitstaff seemed overworked. The food and tea was great, but the vibe was off. I think it's my fault for coming on a busy day.
The dandelion is absolutely adorable. It is such a cute and quaint place to come for afternoon tea! I can’t wait to come back again. The tea and crumpets were scrumptious and it is a truly unique experience.
Staff here is always really friendly and food is always great!
Great place. Food fabulous, service good. Warm and cozy on a winter’s night. But it was so loud! Music should be in the background not the main thing! We asked the waiter to turn down the music but I don’t think he did.
amazing. great service. great food
This restaurant is one of the best that Philly has to offer. Simultaneously upscale and unpretentiously cozy, the decor exactly replicates a traditional English pub down to the mismatched tableware and chairs, functioning fireplaces and use of every corner of the space. Not to be outdone by the decor, the food is an unmissable experience. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and get down to the Dandelion. Or don't and leave room for the true fans.
Server forgot our order of scones but everything else was amazing!!!! Great recommendations. Food was amazing and ambience was top notch
