Had resv for 9:30 inside, showed up at 9:15, asked about outside seating, said it would be 1.45 hour wait. We decided to go inside even though there were 5 open tables outside, of course all 4 tops, in the business so understood. Manager was less than responsive, sour face and grumpy. Ordered breakfast, had a great server. Food came out wrong, ordered the peppered bacon, came out so over cooked it crumbled as I picked up, ordered pancakes no fruit and came out with strawberries. Dropped bacon on my plate and I guess the manager saw and come over, could tell I was upset and actually said “is everything alright” you have to be kidding me.! He saw the bacon, so I explained what had happened. Never apologized, just told the server to get me the bacon and potatoes. Took the pancakes back, and brought the same ones, now cold and the butter wouldn’t even melt. Manager came by 15 minutes later and asked if all ok, I was to tired to deal with. He discounted $4, told the server to add it back, that was not what I wanted, I didn’t want anything but what I ordered. Here’s the kicker, was there a total of 1 1/2 hours, two of the same empty tables outside were still empty, as I watched throughout our breakfast. What a shame, waiting on only a 4 top. Will not get our business, manager needs to be retrained and we canceled our MD reservations. Such a shame, good service, great location but that manager was terrible, if he didn’t want to work weekends, he should not be in the business.

We loved the old menu! Bring it back as soon as you can.
My favorite place for great food, libations, and ambiance! Highly recommend!!
This place remains one of the best dining experiences in Tucson.
We had a very nice experience, sitting outside was so relaxing. Food was good.
Wonderful historical hotel w beautiful seating a d excellent food! A must when in town!
Lovely Sunday outdoor brunch. Nice menu, drinks, entertainment.
we love the Cup. it was a beautiful Sunday April morning so we chose to sit outside.
Our server was excellent, food was delicious and the Mimosas cold. Perfect.
My only somewhat negative was the live music. It made it difficult at time to have a conversation, and also to hear the server.
One note- MAKE A RESERVATION. We did, but several patrons were told that it would be an hour as they didnt have a reservation.
We have been coming here for 40 years, starting in 1981. We always had great service and great food. This past visit was GREAT! The staff keep everyone safe during this Pandemic period. The food and service was fantastic. We even had a little bit of music with our dinner. It was a great evening out. Thank you.
This was our first time at the Cup Cafe. Really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The mojito was probably one of the best. Our only complaint was the noise level of the band. We should have said something to our waiter, but didn't.
We will definitely come back!
This was our first time back at The Cup since pandemic restrictions had been loosened. The food was just as good if not better than ever. Although some of our favorites had disappeared from the menu, the new dishes were excellent. Other menu entries had been zipped up. The presentation was excellent, our server was friendly and prompt. Another classic Cup meal.
Always a favorite. Glad to help with reopening back to normal!
The flank steak was fabulous!!!! Great menu and very affordable. A new favorite of ours now!
Amazing food and pleasant outdoor patio with plenty of shade. Ate there twice during our stay in Tuscan.
I’ve always enjoyed everything I’ve eaten at the Cup, so have my fellow diners. Kayla was a great server. The Easter Brunch was top notch.
Great place to eat, good food and excellent service
Beautiful outdoor patio, cool and pleasant in spite of the 96 degee day. The food is innovative, fresh and the menu offers something for everyone. Attentive but not intrusive service with covid safety protocal clearly in place.
Attended Easter brunch, food was excellent. Seated on patio, very nice live music and outstanding service.
Very prompt courteous staff... we always enjoy the atmosphere, food & service at The Cup.
Tremendous prix fix Easter brunch, great options and great service. Patio was perfect for a spring brunch. Cup always does a great job.
Went to the pre-fixed Easter Brunch and it was amazing - Chef Brian is so talented! Our waiter, Keith, was attentive and accommodating, and the music was great!
We sat outside to hear music and be Covid safe. The ambience was nice but the music was bad. We listened to this bad music the entire time we are. Luckily the band took a small break so we could talk without yelling. The menu and food was mediocre. It’s sad because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson.
I made reservations almost a month in advance, it was for my wife’s birthday. They sat us down and we ordered appetizers they were out, didn’t have fish of the day nor steak. The waiter was embarrassed to even tell us. I was embarrassed because it was my wife 52 birthday. Couldn’t get reservations any place else due to after 7 at night. Not returning again
Always take out of town guests here. Lots of spread out outdoor tables
As always great service, delicious food and very cool atmosphere
Have been here many times in the past. We live in Phoenix, but always look forward to coming here when we are in town. The prices have gone up, I would expect that post pandemic. The service was good. The patio greatly appreciated. Really appreciated that we were still able to have a conversation even with the jazz band playing in the background. The band's volume was Perfect...not to loud, or soft just right. The drinks were excellent. The food was....inconsistent and meh. The Pesto chicken sandwich was flavorless, the smoked brisket burned and dry on the egg dish. Asked for the eggs soft poached...they were hard. The breakfast potatoes and fries were excellent, as was the sausage gravy that I asked for on the side. The spinach was bitter, way too much vinegar. the tomato meely and overcooked and the cheese on the sourdough just doesn't work, it was soggy from very wet spinach and tomato. And to top it all off, besides the sausage gravy...all of the food was luke warm....not what I would expect from the Cup, in short disappointed. My wife got the vegan brownie, would've been tolerable warmed up...without eggs and milk vegan desserts get hard...hers was like a chocolate brick. The crust on the coconut cream pie, tasted like prebaked from the grocery. Will come back but hoping the kitchen improves greatly....for the price, not worth it
We had the mussel appetizer and they were outstanding. The waitress seemed pretty disjointed. Atmosphere on the patio was so enjoyable.
My girlfriend and I went on a Friday night and sat outside on the patio. I would highly recommend getting a reservation. We both got the fried tofu sandwich- it was so good! We also split a slice of the hummingbird cake, which was equally fantastic.
We made a reservation for two the patio. When we checked in with the hostess we were seated inside in the bar area. I queried about the patio and was told twice it was unavailable. 25 minutes later I receive a text to proceed to the hostess stand my table was ready. I spoke to an employee and informed them I thought a mistake had been made. He said he would look into it and then heard nothing back. I then received an email stating I missed my reservation. When I called the restaurant after the weekend, I was told "yes - sorry there WAS a mistake made, my reservation WAS for the patio; sorry but I hope you still enjoyed your meal". For a special night out to spend with my son - being stuck up against a wall in a bar instead of outside in the fresh air - NO the night was not nice.
Everyone can get what they want. Consistently good food and service.
We went for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious, ambiance was so fun, and service was great!
The host promptly sat us. there was no waiting at all. The wait staff also attended us promptly. He was friendly but not overly familiar. He explained the specials clearly. The food was delicious, steak perfectly cooked and tender. The tofu sandwich was unique and tastly especially the special sauce. And the music was perfect!!
The food selection for anytime of day is excellent and it is delicious. Highly recommend The Cup.
The hostess and bartender were great. Our server was nice, and my food was good. We sat outside so it was noisy because it’s right on the street, but that can’t be helped. The only thing that wasn’t great was that my companions’s omelette was overdone. Brown and crunchy on the outside. If that’s your preference all good, it just isn’t mine. :)
Welcome
Back to real life. It’s been a long time since we have had such a lovely food and ambiance experience. It’s nice to feel normal and welcome
Beautiful, fun, and inviting. Love going to this place.
Really good food on a lovely outdoor patio with good music. Overall, a lovely evening.
Baked eggs were awesome! We split the portion and also each got a Bloody Mary. Very tasty and good value to share the entree. Bloody Mary was a little pricey but worth it for all the fixings you get! We left full and satisfied.
Great food and first time visiting since social distancing precautions. Everything was smooth and they were very attentive. Always a great experience.
Kim, our server, was above and beyond. The restaurant had great and novel food, amazing desserts and a cool vibe with an outdoor area with a band in stage but the the staff, in particular our superhuman waitress, made it an experience to remember
