We are glad that we came to The Cup to celebrate on a double special occasion. The food, service and experience was very good, as we expected. It is well worth the "effort" of coming into town to dine here.
Very neat place with a neat selection of food. The bread was awesome as well as my ribs with Mac n cheese. Enjoyed a little comedy after dinner then made our way outside to some live music. Had a great time and hope to come back and stay in one of the hotel rooms one day.
I always love dining at The Cup Cafe. The menu has unique farm to table dining experience with local flair that is Tucson.
Another great dinner @ The Cup! Was hoping for a night on the patio but rain got in the way. Turned out to be perfect regardless. Thanks!
Street tacos (pictured) were delicious. And hearty for an appetizer. I had it for my meal! Cocktails on Mondays are great! They focus on local Whiskey Del Bac. The staff is amazing too!
Decent food, good service, not too expensive, portions generous.
Thai Seafood Stew was excellent. Attentive and pleasant service.
Would go back. We are from Austn Tx and this restaurant was awesome!
Was exceptional service from Keith the ambience however was much too now there was a group behind us That could be heard thruout the facility.
Great food as always. Beautiful creative drinks. Had to get to the Rialto for a show. I never knew they could also be fast!!
Food was good. Service was pretty slow at best. Patio looks amazing, I wish we would have sat outside.
First time there even though I have lived in Tucson for 50 years ! Always have been curious about the Congress Hotel and dining there, but was concerned about where to park. Found out could park directly across the street in Maynard's parking lot. Easy ! We regularly go to the TSO and ATC performances and decided to find a place to eat downtown before the performances. It worked out perfectly and we will definitely do it again. The food was very good, served nicely and reasonably priced. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed it very much.
Been to Cup Cafe many times and always great. Tonight was off. The main salmon sauce was tangy or too citrusy and did not taste as I remembered. The sweet potato purée was cold and my salmon was not cooked as asked. Our dessert was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Wine was great too. All in all very lovely but salmon was disappointing and pricey
We gave this restaurant another try after having a very bad experience a month ago with a metal object in my food, which was truly a mishap that was due to malfunction on the fyer for my calamari BanMi sandwich. The taste was fabulous until I felt a sharp item in my bite. But please note cup cafe restaurant did everything a fine restaurant would do and took care of our bill. They apologized over and over agin. I like The Cup Cafe. The food usually had been very good since I have eaten here 5 times already. Will I go back? possibly yes, but not got a very long time.
Overall given situations they are nice people. Great desserts!
With its excellent service, inventive menu and friendly atmosphere, Cup Cafe never disappoints!
It's one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Tucson. The food is always excellent and the service is always great.
Great place for a quick or dinner with friends - the food is outstanding
Every minute was just perfect. We arrived 15 minutes early for a cocktail at the bar. The bartender was friendly and informative. We were seated on time. The service was fantastic and the food was better. We are not dessert people but the server was convincing. Again, delicious. Thank you for using recyclable and biodegradable to go stuff. Every wee bit helps.
Fred and I will be back. And, like always, I will refer The Cup Cafe to friends.
Sorry, this time or dinner just wasn't as great as in the past. Service was good and drinks were fine. The food just wasn't up to the prior standard. The Santa Cruz flank steak with calabacitas and the Fish and Chips were both a bit disappointing. We'll be back though. We've enjoyed many excellent meals at the Cup!
Great food, wonderful service. However the hard surfaced walls and ceiling make for quite a noisy venue.
Always excellent food and service. It got a little hard to carry on a conversation as the restaurant filled with customers. I might try to gather with friends a little earlier in the future.
The only comment I would have is the slaw, and fries portion on the Fish and Chips Order was to large.
Fish was great, desert was great.
Been to the Cup Cafe at the Hotel Congress many times, never disappointed. The staff is friendly yet professional. If you are downtown well worth stopping by.
We have recently discovered this wonderful restaurant. We've done Saturday and Sunday brunch, the food was delicious and the cocktails are amazing. We also did the Sunday dinner with half price bottled wine, great deal! Highly recommend.
Good food, lousy service. Our server was obviously in the weeds. Took forever for our drinks to arrive and when they did, they came out one at a time. How does that happen when the bartenders are standing around chatting? Four of us ordered different salads which were all tasty. Once the food was delivered we didn't see the waitress again until she arrived to clear the table. Where was management?
This was our second visit to The Cup. I wasn't impressed the first time, and was even less impressed on this visit. The food is just mediocre at best - nothing at all to write home about. The fish fry had absolutely no taste whatsoever. Even the coleslaw had no flavor. We had chosen The Cup to celebrate two birthdays, but no one recognized them even though we noted the special occasion on our Open Table reservation.
Great food in the old Congress Hotel. Service was excellent. We will be back.
First Time to Tucson and tried this restaurant based on a suggestion from a friend. Food was delicious. Great atmosphere. Would definitely come back again.
shortly after making the reservation through OpenTable, the Cup Cafe called to confirm our reservation and to find out if we had any food allergies and if it was a special occasion. When we arrived the staff ensured our experience by phoning when our table was ready, moving us under an umbrella when it started to rain, and checking on us periodically to ensure everything met our satisfaction. This is my 4th time to the restaurant and they are always spot on!
The menu is one of the more interesting in Tucson. There are many items that are not the among the same 6 things you find in higher end restaurants in town. Had an excellent appetizer and tasty entrees. The Heartbreaker appetizer was wonderful.
One of Tucson's Historic Gems, excellent food albeit a limited menu, good wine list and very nice atmosphere .
What a GREAT PLACE! Always great service and great food. Good place to people watch. And if you are lucky, there is live music outside sometimes.
Spent $100 for 2 orders of tacos a Cesar salad and 2 drinks each. The Salad was fresh but the dressing was not up to standards and the croutons were like plain toast. The tacos didn’t have enough crema sauce for a fried fish taco and they only provided hot sauce with no salsa. The cabbage for ur tacos was very dry and should have been more like slaw in my opinion. Oh well..... live and learn.
Food and service was good, plus setting/ambiance in the historic Hotel Congress is awesome. Definitely a great experience.
Our waiter was super cool and took the time to share the history of the hotel and restaurant with our kids who were visiting from NJ. The specialty cocktails were a lot of fun and delicious! And the Caprese salad was unique and spot on! Overall, a very fun experience!
We actually went here twice on the same night. Had an great early dinner and then went back for dessert after the concert.
The service was quick and we ate inside since it was a little too warm for us to be outside. I like the decor inside.
Great location, and a very charming atmosphere. The food is new and exciting not your normal dinner meal .
The Cup Cafe in the historic Hotel Congress is a wonderful selection for out-of-town guests or locals alike.
This was a Saturday night in the middle of summer which is usually dead quiet in Tucson, but they were very busy! The noise level was a little loud but tolerable. However, the service was terrific - friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
The service was great the food was delicious (except the french fries were soft and chewy) The schnitzel was amazing and the local bread appetizer was delicious
I love the happy hour that goes until 7 pm. The food and service are excellent as is the atmosphere.
The prices are just right, too, and the portions are ample. All in all, a perfect bistro in Tucson.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our ‘date night’ dinner at The Cup. Our server Lauren was attentive and efficient. We highly recommend the Dillinger Side Car cocktail! The food was delicious, too!
