We can boast about the incredible food, wine selections, our selection of ten 18 year or older scotchs, our large selection of Kentucky Bourbons and atmosphere…but what you won’t believe is the impeccable service. We don’t want to spoil the fun and surprises, but what we can tell you, Albuquerque is now in for an incredible treat.

The Staff, ambiance, and food were fantastic! We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary there and, being so new to Albuquerque, were totally amazed at how selecting the Crown Room hit the nail so squarely on the head! My wife's maternal grandparents immigrated from Scotland in the 1920's, so she grew up knowing authentic Scottish cooking, and her grandmother was an outstanding cook. Thus, she ordered the Rack of Lamb, one of her favorite Scottish dishes, and was absolutely floored that, as she said, was "...every bit as good as Grandma's always was"!!! She was so totally delighted that she said she is going to bring her mother and sister there when they come to visit from Wyoming and Virginia (respectively), and order it for them! She told them it was "non-negotiable". My dinner was outstanding as well, but she was so delighted with hers on our anniversary, that I felt like a King for taking her there!!! Even though one has to walk past a loud casino to get to the restaurant, it is totally worth it as the atmosphere is extremely quiet and relaxing! (No joke)! We WILL be going back as often as possible!
You really should try out the food or at least hang out at the bar. The space is very nice and the services was great!! We had the filet mignon which was soo tender and tasty. The server asked if it was a special dinner and it was and he went out of his way to provide us with a special treat or treats! We will be back!!! Very good selection of food.
We had a great dinner and very good service complete with tableside flambe desserts.
The Crown Room is comfortable and nicely decorated. Cocktails were also very good.
We had a good lunch with our group of 8 for Mother’s Day. Prime rib was the overall favorite by all. Omelette chef was excellent. On dessert cart, the cannoli was the bestseller. Service started slow but picked up.
I took my husband for dinner for his birthday. We were not disappointed.
This was our wedding anniversary. We ate at Ruth's Chris and had a horrible experience at the Restaurant in Albuquerque. I saw the four course meal in the newspaper at the Crown Room and we decided to give it a try. My husband said the New York Strip steak was the best. My mother in law said she never had a meal so delicious. Everything was great. We will be back. The Crown Room is our new favorite fine dining spot. We came here five years ago from Texas so we have been trying to find our new favorites.

The duck, lamb, and scallops were cooked to perfection! Wonderful service as well.
I thought the food was delicious but a bit pricey. The ambiance was very nice and they had great service.
We were very disappointed. They were out of menu items, the food was marginal at best and everything was amazingly slow. It took us 2.5 hours (most of it waiting) for dinner. This was a Thursday evening. We were the only customers in the place. We have had good experiences here before but this time we paid a premium price for a subpar meal.

The crown room is Albuquerque’s hidden treasure! If you want a big city atmosphere you can find inside The Downs of Albuquerqure ! 5 star dining inside the casino, one of the few restaurants you can get a Blantons on the rocks! Only suggestion is to get big ball ice cubes.

Unfortunately, food selection was very limited for Valentine's Day. Two people in our part of six chose not to eat because of dietary limitations. We were not overly impressed and will probably not return in the future.
went for Valentine's day. disappointed with ambiance, service was robotic. because of the fixed menu, there wasn't a lot of communication with the waiter. seemed we were at a wedding. except for the whole artichoke for appetizer, the food was worth the price.
This was our 2nd visit to the Crown Room. The 1st time we were there all was wonderful. This time the lobster and butter were cold for one of my guests and the baked potato was colder than what would have been preferred. Otherwise everything was good.
The food was excellent, as always. But, they were out of a lot of items, which was odd because we were there on Thursday and they are only open Thursday through Saturday. Waiter was very nice but not very knowledgeable. And, we were the only ones in the restaurant the entire time, which just felt a little weird.
The atmosphere was very nice and peaceful with excellent service. We had Thanksgiving Dinner all four having turkey. The food was not real hot when served and mashed potatoes not from scratch. Green beans cool and not crisp. Pumpkin pie okay but chocolate cake very dry.
However, presentations excellent, beautiful service ware and lovely servers. We had an enjoyable time and will return.
The waiters, bartender, and chef were all wonderful to us. There was background music, but not so loud that we couldn’t hear each other. The food was beyond amazing, and the bartender helped us pair wine with our meal. It was a very memorable evening. I’ve already recommended the Crown Room to several people, and I hope to return to enjoy more of the menu. Thank you!
We had a four birthday celebration and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Three couples had the chateaubriand and loved it. Mushroom sauce was much better than the au poivre. I had a lobster tail which although a generous size had zero flavor. I'd say stick with the beef. The Bibb salads were nicely done. They brought us a wonderful whole Black Forest cake for the birthdays. Very good. Service was pretty good. Wine selection good.
Excellent! It's nice to have an elegant restaurant in Albuquerque for special occasions. Food and presentation were outstanding. Service was great, too. Sigh of relief. :)

Another great meal. Everyone's steaks came out cooked as requested. The cocktails were outstanding. Glad that I saved room for the Bananas Foster. And as always, the service was fabulous.
We were the only ones in the facility the whole evening. Even so the service was not close to 5 star. The food for the most part was excellent. I felt my chicken dish was a bit overcooked. On the other hand the Onion soup was outstanding. My partners salmon was cooked exactly to her taste. The sorbet between courses was a nice touch.
We were led to believe that at the onset of the meal that because it was a special birthday celebration that there would be something forthcoming at the end to celebrate. When desert time came we were offered a menu with no mention of any birthday offering.
From the time we declined the dessert to the check was at least 15 minutes. The check was offered in what I would consider a less than 3 star container.
In all, it was a good experience considering the celebration. I do not think we will be back.
We eat at the Crown Room regularly and the food and service are always very good. The room is well decorated and management is always on top of the service. Baked items are exceptional.
Nice ambience food good. Servers were a bit distant. Would have liked a goodbye thanks for coming. We just. Meandered without knowing everything was ok or appreciated. No problem food was good and we had a good meal.

It was slightly embarrassing since I had been bragging about the food and service at the Crown. My friends chicken wasn’t the advertised breast but the back and the replacement salmon was delivered so late. It was a disappointing dinner. In the 3 years since I’ve been there your service and food had been a real treat.
Living in ABQ, you accept a lack of fine dining. I love unpretentious food and don't need fru-fru. But on occasion, an event needs an up-scale meal (and its attendant prices). Usually, we hop up the road to Santa Fe. Still, some place closer would be welcome. I had hopes for the Crown Room. Well, except for the prices, it isn't upscale and there were many problems.
Any true steakhouse will train its waiters to advise customers how to order doneness. When I said I wanted a "warm red center" the waiter had no idea what that meant. He suggested "medium." No. Medium is pink. So, I took the chance that, like a Ruth's Cris, medium rare would work. Sorta. The steak was a huge cut NY strip 2.5 inches thick. The center was darkish pink, (a bit overdone for me, but ok) and there was not too much gray rim, suggesting the steak was oven-finished (good). It tasted fine, not great, a bit over-seasoned. Texture didn't suggest prime. Worth $40? Uh...
The "creamed spinach" was a puddle of liquidy béchamel in which swam sad strands of spinach, a ridiculous inversion of ingredients.(see photo)
My companion ordered a sous vide lobster tail. It came out a piece of mush that she had to return. The second attempt was better, with a nicely firm tail that was lacking much flavor.
Dessert was Bananas Foster, presented table-side. It's hard to mess up a dish of butter, sugar, bananas, rum. Still, the chef did not adequately reduce the liquid. Instead of a silky syrup, it was the consistency of broth. There was a dessert tray with a variety of items, but amazingly, the waiter couldn't tell us what they all were. "I didn't have a chance to find out what that one was." (I should point out on a Saturday at 7:30 PM we were the only customers in the place - not sure what took up his time.)
Staff was friendly, accommodating, and meant well, but seemed out of their league with a lack of experience, training, or front-house management. May have been a fluke bad night, but no plan to return.
Enjoyed the Crown Room and will definitely go back.
We typically go on one “nice” date a month, so when we go, we like to take our time. The server seemed awfully annoyed that we wanted to have a cocktail before ordering, not order our dinner until our appetizer/bread was gone, and then finish the rest of our wine leisurely after our meal. It was very frustrating and we won’t be back. We did however, enjoy the friendly bartender.
Service was poor, very poor. The drinks were the highlight.
Two folks in our party sent their steaks back twice and they still could not cook them correctly. Food served cold.
The staff was very professional , friendly and attentive.
The food was very well prepared.
For Valentine’s Day the restaurant had a set five course menu. Four of the courses were amazing however the first course was a bit overdone. A simple pear salad would’ve been a much better option. Having said this, the restaurant and the executive chef especially accommodating as we had a couple of children dining with us. The price for the 5 courses was very reasonable and we all enjoyed ourselves.
Food was upscale and finely presented. Ambient spaciousness and non-crowding perfect for romantic conversation and quiet meal. Service at the table was rushed despite my asking the server to give my partner more time to eat slowly. At high-end prices, diners ought to be able to tarry over meal courses, NOT be hurried.
This was our 3rd meal at "Open Table"/Crown Room. I would recommend this venue BUT WITH QUALIFICATIONS.
My assessment: overpriced for what you get.
We had an excellent Valentine's dinner. The food was great, the wait staff were great, and the atmosphere was great.

The staff was amazing. They were very attentive to our needs and even put a rush on our dessert so we could make it to the theatre on time. My husbands ribeye was perfect thanks to the advice of our waiter on how to get it cooked. I, however, was very disappointed with my whole meal. The shrimp cocktail was warm and chewy; the lobster was rubber with a strange garnish; the au gratin potatoes were dry and cold; and the bananas foster was runny. But overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and the quiet. Thank you.
Chef came out to actually check on us and make sure the food was what we wanted and expected. AWESOME. Waiter was very professional and accommodating! Secret hidden treasure for sure !!!!!
Everything was exceptional! Went for my husband's 30th birthday and the entire staff was great! Tristan, our chef, came out and said hi and checked on us throughout the meal. Just a great venue and the food was outstanding! Great service all night and my husband was very impressed and happy with our surprise date.
