The Crosby Bar
Super nice ambience, great servers and great food
Unfortunately we got seated in the corner... next to the back door... cold air was coming in... I asked the waitress if they had anything else... and wouldn’t even bother to change us to another table...
I like going there... but after this... I will double think next time.
Great ambiance and attentive staff ... a pleasurable experience
Get place to catch up with friends and for an amazing angus burger!
Having been to this hotel restaurant before I was excited to stop by again on my next NY visit . I thought the potions that involved pasta were oversized and made the starter of my daughter and my main course unappetising . To be fair the server removed the main course from the bill. Overall the restaurant was quiet and lacked ambience - all in all disappointing
One of my favorite restaurants in nyc ! Great service and staff is always so kind . You have to try the quinoa vegetables and branzino !
This was our 4th time having afternoon tea around the Christmas holiday at The Crosby Hotel. Our previous 3 visits were all great. The room is pretty, the food was always great and the overall experience was quite enjoyable. Sadly, it seems things have changed since our last visit. One of the items that was listed on the menu wasn't served to us until we questioned why it had not been included in our tea service and in general, the service was terrible. Our waiter literally seemed to disappear about half way through our meal and never returned. He came by to let us know he was getting us seconds on several items and eventually someone else delivered two of the 5 things we ordered and the rest never came. We had to seek someone else out to get our check after waiting for nearly 25 minutes. When I complained to the manager, she apologized and asked me to reach out to her on our next visit and she would make sure we had a better experience. There was no attempt to make THIS experience better, nor any real effort or explanation given to rectify the situation. Overall, it was a disappointing visit for what has always been a family tradition that we look forward to.
Everything was great!! The only thing is bathroom is kinda far in basement. Otherwise it would be perfect!! Still have 5stars. And I will definitely go back again!!
We were a party of 6. The waiter was accommodating to an extent but wasn’t very attentive.. Understand that it was a lunch time, but seemed like we were ignored most of the time. For a large check, I’m pretty surprised.
Whoever our host was was amazing. He was so friendly and attentive. Actually, the entire staff is extremely cordial. At the end of our meal, I was looking for our host but couldn’t find him and the bartender must have seen me looking around because he came over to our table to help us!
Love it! Very cozy and comfortable. Felt like home. Surely will come again
The staff tried to kick us out twice bc we stayed there for 2 hours. We were never told that a reservation was waiting for a table beforehand and it was very unprofessional.
Terrible service. Got order wrong / sent incorrect food. Ingredients terrible
Off the beaten path and quaint. Service could be better and would like to see more variety on the menu. But a good spot to get away and enjoy a visit.
Perfection, as always. One of the best kept secrets in New York!
I came here for afternoon tea with my mom, mother-in-law and sister. Overall was happy with the tea service however, after going to an authentic high tea in London it really doesn't compare. I think the price point and ambiance is great, especially if bringing someone who hasn't been to an afternoon tea before or doesn't come into Manhattan often. The food was mediocre. The bread and some desserts seemed a bit dry, but we did have some menu favorites and left incredibly full. Great experience for those who have never been to afternoon tea or are looking for something more moderately priced.
Food and service first rate but very noisy even though we were tucked away behind the bar.
We made a reservation and arrived early. I was told on arrival that the table would be ready in 15 minutes when our reservation was scheduled. No problem! Then I was told our reservation would be about ten minutes. Okay. Then I was told another 20 minutes. So now it's thirty minutes past my reservation time and I am finally walked to a table with my party when I am told by another employee that the empty table I am staring at is being held for some unknown party. When I asked what the problem was. I was given grief about making a last minute reservation. A reservation is a reservation! So I am walked back. One minute later I am walked back to the exact same table and told that the table is now available. There seemed to be descent among the ranks. They did make things better by giving us a glass of champagne gratis. I enjoy tea for the experience and relaxation. This particular visit failed on that front.
Fabulous brunch menu in lovely light airy beautifully decorated space. Impeccable friendly non-intrusive service. If we lived in NYC this would be a regular!
Colorful, whimsical dining destination in SoHo. Wonderful for an afternoon iced mocha or dinner with friends. Highly recommend.
Very accommodating to special orders. Great brunch menu. Hadn’t seen these friends in a while and that room never gets loud even though it was busy
Service was slow, rude, overall terrible. Order arrived wrong and took ages to fix. I love firmdale properties in the UK, not sure why this one was so off.
Normally I love eating brunch here but this past weekend, it was very crowded so they made me wait for 15 minutes even though I had a reservation! I always order the waffle and this time my food came very cold...
The food was awful. Not like the last time I visited maybe 4 years ago. It’s like cantine food with not style and over cooked. Not worth the money at all. We went there for our wedding anniversary and I still regret we spent the money there. Much much to expensive for the quality they offer.
Nice food in a beautiful, quiet environment. Perfect for along, relaxing lunch in an exquisite place.
I love this restaurant. I have been quite a number of times with friends for a birthday lunch. The atmosphere is great. The food is consistent and delicious. Service is terrific. This is definitely a favorite restaurant for me and my close girlfriends ! I highly recommend it. I also love the atmosphere !
Had a lovely birthday dinner here with family. Food and service were great and atmosphere is fun but not crazy crowded.
Tuna tartare, steaks, burgers, chicken, Mac and cheese all delish as was the ice cream sundae, which arrived with a cute birthday message.
The service was top-notch and the food was truly excellent. Have loved this place for a long while now and good to know that it still delivers!
Everything is perfect!
The Crosby is sophisticated and and lively, and the seating is very spacious and comfortable—a very pleasant space to enter and dine in. The staff is generally attentive and helpful, but the service can be a bit too leasurly. The appetizers and main courses were well-prepared and tasty, but the dessert menu disappointed. They have some unique drinks and a great champagne manu for special occasions. The prices overall were a bit steep.
Our burgers and fries were cold and my coffee was watery. Our primary server didn’t check on us once during the meal. Overpriced and mediocre overall. There are much better options in the immediate area.
I love this hotel and the food is always delicious
Great brunch in a beautiful setting. Was raining, so sat inside. Service was spot on and food was delicious. Portions were very generous.
The experience was ok, food was ok, decor was eclectic and cool, hotel groynds beautiful
The food was mediocre at best, and very overpriced- granted, it’s in a hotel so of course it’s overpriced. The gazpacho was boring, the warm train/vegetable bowl was undercooked and watery, and everything else was forgettable. Go to Nomo in the same neighborhood, instead.
The best breakfast in New York. Beautiful continental buffet which includes your choice of coffee, toasts, bagels, everything. Good value for money considering how beautiful the surroundings are and how wonderful the food is. The service is impeccable. We want to live here permanently!
I have been here a few times for afternoon tea. I have always really enjoyed it. This time I treated my mom and Grandma. They had a grand time. Excellent tea and excellent service.
I took a friend that i have been bragging about the afternoon tea at the Crosby Hotel for a long time and we were so disappointed when we got the trays... the place is beautiful, the tea and champagne were extraordinary.... when we got to the mini sandwiches, they were dry, old and no taste... the pastries were very small and also nothing special about them, the savory pastries were just ok.... i remember having afternoon tea there almost or over a year ago and the food was fantastic... don’t know what to say for my last experience... i just wish i wouldn’t have disappointed my friend because was his first time there...
I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waiter and she was very good about and responsive... they gave us the rose champagne as complementary drink for which we are grateful.....
Last nice dinner in NYC before I move to Memphis for a few years. Great spot, will remember it forever.
