From the warm welcome to Gina's kind professional service The Creek was the perfect setting for a family lunch and anniversary get together. Five star cuisine.
We make it a point to stop at The Creek on our trips to the Hill Country.. Just a wonderful eating stop.
I dropped in after looking for a nice place to dine for lunch. From the moment I stepped into this inviting ambiance, I felt at home. The food was delectable and the wine selection has something to offer for everyone from a wine mom to a sommelier. This is a must try place. You are sure to enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you from Alpine, TX!
I have lunched here with a group of friends on two occasions. The venue is very clean and well decorated in traditional taste. There are usually two or three daily specials. The mussels and ceviche were both excellent appetizers. Fish and chips and trout amandine have proven consistently good. They attract an older upscale crowd and it is a special place to go for lunch.
Lovely location. Service was quick and good. The live music was a little loud for a Sunday Brunch and made conversation a little difficult.
Excellent food in lovely Hill Country atmosphere. Restored home with a river view. Outside seating as well.
We had reservations at 7:15 for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We walked in at 7:05 and there were 2 other couples waiting. The young lady taking names and seating never even looked up or acknowledged us. After standing there for 15 minutes I finally asked another couple if they had even been acknowledged and they said no. The owner, manager or whatever his title kept walking into the room and whispering to the young lady and then leaving. After another 10 minutes of nothing we walked out the door! I have never been treated like this by any establishment before. Needless to say we will never go back! Totally ruined our anniversary dinner!!
We had a reservation for 7pm. The hostess seated at the desk when we walked in seemed flustered and didn't even acknowledge us. She just kept looking at her computer. We felt she was ignoring us. It seemed like a lot of walk-ins disrupted the usual flow of this restaurant this night and the staff seemed limited. Once we were seated however the meal was delicious. The service could have been more attentive and the girl at the front needs to be taught how to greet people. I have eaten here several times and always loved the restaurant and experience. It was just not the usual night this time. The food never disappoints though. Wine list is great. The house wines were wonderful and of high quality.
Great restaurant for a beautiful view or romantic evening. Food was good, but not innovative. We enjoyed our time at The Creek!
Our overall experience at The Creek was delightful. We will definitely return. I ordered the shrimp and grits from the appetizer menu as my main entree. I have enjoyed shrimp and grits at many restaurants including across the Deep South. This dish at The Creek was absolutely the best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten. The dark brown sauce is absolutely heavenly. Ingredients not easily identified but it all comes together in a delicious palette pleasing experience. Kudos to the chef for this one. The decor is elegant , well done but not too over the top. The staff was warm and friendly. I did not give the service 5 stars because I asked the waitress to box half my salad when it was served and my request was ignored. Other than that , great service. Can’t wait to return for another enjoyable dining experience.
Been there many times..always great. We will be back.
Our go to place for Sunday lunch. Love the music by Jorge. Love the fact that they offer their luncheon menu on a Sunday too. Love the view out the windows or from the deck. Everything is good, but trythe mussels as an appetizer or even as an entrée. You won't be sorry. Get plenty of their great bread to soak up the juice.. Definitely worth a drive from San Antonio.
Everything was delicious, starting with the warm bread and butter, to our entrees and finishing with the delightful dessert!
The food is always good, nicely presented. We had sea bass and almond crusted trout. Nice ambiance, easy to talk and visit with friend.
Great time for the six of us. Old friends and tasty food. My meal on meat loaf was delicious and satisfying. Surprise! I enjoyed mushrooms!
I have been there many times and have been impressed with the food, service and ambiance each time. I will continue going there.
What a treasure! Fantastic service and exceptional food!
My husband and I could not have ask for anything better.. amazing food great views .. amazing staff ..
We have lunch at The Creek each time one of six friends has a birthday. We call it 'our' birthday spot.
We are thrilled to have such a unique restaurant that is affordable in Boerne. It brings back the classy early days of life in the town. Food is always excellent and the service is the best. Indoor or on the patio it is a real addition to your Boerne experience!
Special restaurant with a great variety of dishes to choose from, and they were all very good. Our server, Joel, was very attentive, pleasant and a true gentleman. We tried 3 different appetizers and they were all a hit: the salmon carpaccio, ceviche and the calamari. The main dishes had generous portions and seasoned to perfection. Oh, and did I mention that the main dining room is elegant chic even though it's a casual place but we preferred to eat outdoors on the patio by the creek and the water lily pond. This was a nice surprise overall - we're already planning to return very soon.
Very nice restaurant with good service and excellent food.
We always go to The Creek for special occasions like New Years, Valentine's Day, Anniversaries, etc. Excellent, unhurried service by attentive servers. The owner is always checking to be certain that everything is perfect. We love this place. Old, lovingly restored home, overlooking the duck pond in downtown Boerne. Doesn't get any better than The Creek.
Great fine dining in a casual atmosphere. The margaritas are really good. It isn't a fast food restaurant and it isn't cheap.
First time here...celebrated valentines day! It was an amazing lunch, not to mention the scenery! Highly recommend for a date, anniversary...very romantic!
Delicious food, wonderful experience, as always. LOVED the beautiful music provided by singer/guitarist Jorge Paloma! An overall fantastic day at The Creek for my sister’s birthday celebration.
It is our special place for lunch after church on Sunday...Live music, lunch prices, plus great food with good service and a beautiful view...What more do you need....We have never had anything that we didn't enjoy, and even if you don't usually do appetizers, try the mussels...They are the best.
Went for dinner last Saturday with another couple of friends, dinner was delicious, wine was great and the music was so good, we like going to The Creek and hope That we can be there for lunch and dinner again soon.
It’s a must go restaurant in Boerne, great quality in all aspects.
Couldn’t ask for a nicer, more relaxed restaurant to have dinner.
We love this place! Excellent chef, the food was amazing! Usually quiet, only guitar or piano singer, not loud. The Saturday there was a few large families so added to the noise, but nothing preventing a good conversation.
Bison burger was one of the most amazing things I have ever tasted! Food and service were beyond my wildest expectations.
All excellent. Food, service, atmosphere, and a great musician on guitar. The best choice in Boerne
The food was outstanding. Some of the favorites at the table were the calamari appetizer and specials of the chicken and waffles and pecan crusted flounder. Bloody Mary's were spicy and delicious. Service was exceptional and outdoor seating was comfortable and had beautiful scenery.
The waitress pushed the special, over&over&over. Too much.
Food is great and the service is outstanding.
Will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great dinner at great prices.
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Texas hill country. Food was excellent and service was perfect. This is the cleanest restaurant we have ever been to. Highly recommend to everyone. A tad expensive but I always feel you get what you pay for and the quality is worth the price.
Loved the food, service, ambiance, and privacy. The live music was quiet and entertaining. A reservation is needed on weekends.
We had a 7:30 reservation and the table was not ready on time. No big deal, they said we were welcome to wait and the bar. No problem we do. We are literally the only people there. We waited for over ten minutes with several staff making drinks before I got someone’s attention to make drinks. Service was ok at best after that. They did not have everything on the menu.
The food was good not amazing for the price.
We were in town from Houston and had made a reservation through Open Table. When we arrived, The Creek did not have a record of it. The general manager was very gracious and found us a fabulous table near the entertainment. It was warm and cozy, and we did not feel rushed as we enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone!!!
Met my expectation and was not disappointed. Even though we had made reservations, there was a bit of a wait for a table of four. We would make it a point to visit the restaurant again if we're in the area again.
