The Creek Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We've eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and had excellent experiences both times. The food is top notch, the atmosphere truly special, and the service top-notch. The live music was quiet enough that we could enjoy it and still visit. The prices aren't too bad considering how much better this is than popular chain restaurants. We would highly recommend this for a special occasion or just a extra-special night out.
We really enjoyed our meal. The two of us had a small table next to a window with a great view. Food was excellent (wife had shrimp/crab linguini, I had redfish with shrimp & crab). Raoul provided excellent service. We visited early in the evening, and few diners were there, so the atmosphere was very quiet. Live music (acoustical guitar and voice soloist) was just starting as we left, and was very enjoyable. We'll be coming back.
We had a lovely night. Wine was good, calamari was delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly and seafood was cooked and seasoned beautifully. Coffee choices and desserts after dinner were fabulous. One of my favorites places for a great dinner anytime but also perfect for a special occasion.
I met my sister and her husband and my brother and his wife for a lunch and we had a really great visit with awesome food served by Joel who kept our coffee cups and tea glasses full.
We really liked our food and we were able to hear each other talk instead of noise..
I’ll be visiting there again soon with my husband.
Out waiter 'Raul' made the evening very special for us. He over heard me talking about that it was my husbands birthday and he surprised us with a birthday dessert. The music was light and perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Certainly we will return.
Waterfront setting adds to the relaxed ambiance for a Sunday brunch. Live music was somewhat loud and overpowering especially when the hostess wanted to seat us right next to the piano player. Food is above average and portions are generous. There are fair amount of menu selections along with their daily specials but pricey...$$$. Overall, it is worth the experience and we will return.
The setting is fantastic. Old home scene converted to a restaurant and just off Cibolo Creek.
Our server Juana did a nice job but was never close when needed. We waited about 30 minutes for the check after we decided against dessert. No offer of coffee or after dinner drinks was made.
The restaurant attempts to convince patrons its fine dining. However, the food was reasonably enjoyable; nothing was remarkable enough for us to want to come back.
We were greeted immediately and allowed to put fresh flowers for our guest in the table before she arrived. Gina was an excellent waitress and the food outstanding. As we were leaving, the owner/GM asked how our meal was. I told him "Great" & that I'll be returning tonight with my wife, as it's her favorite Boerne restaurant. I complimented Gina. He immediately looked up tonight's reservation, moved us to "a special location" and said Gina will again work with us.
This is the second time that we have gone to dinner at The Creek with our friends. Our recollection was great food and a nice evening. The food was again (mostly) exceptional. I had the ribeye instead of the filet that is my default choice. My wife and our friends had steak, veal and a dinner special. My wife found her veal "alright" while the rest of us were well pleased. As is typical, it was initially easy to converse, then the live pianist started and the acoustics being poor, conversation was harder and then a full crowd made thinking hard with sounds bouncing everywhere. An old building is not designed to absorb sounds well, and the total experience is so good that it places this into perspective. We will return.
