It was an enjoyable meal.
Struggling. Ordered oysters and after 20 minutes was told I would not get them because someone was busy preparing a seafood tower. Our entrees were delivered at that point so too bad. They did apologize and offered nothing to compensate. Their prices are typical steak house inflated. Ridiculous given their inability to deliver a premium experience.
Service and food were excellent but way over priced even for a casino.
Went to celebrate my son's 30something birthday. Server and helpful with suggestions. Food was delicious, served timely but not rushed
. Steaks were cooked, as ordered, very tender and tasty.
She crab soup was delightful
Overall it was an enjoyable evening. Their prices are high for being alacarte.
my wife said that she had the best steak she has had in a long time even from some of the steak houses she has been at.
Randomly bought an offer off of Groupon for the cove. I liked how it overlooked the race track. Lots of options for dinner. Seafood was fresh, service was great. Fair pricing.
No complaints, I’d go back again.
Service and food were outstanding. The portions were generous, especially the side dishes which are meant to be shared, as well as the entree. My pork steak was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful and moist; the lobster tail on the seafood trio platter was meaty and substantive, as were the scallops and shrimp. Definitely worth the price and a visit!
Long wait for food & restaurant not busy—. Meat not cooked to order & warm
Service was really slow. Taking the order, providing water, bringing the food, etc. All slow and inexcusable. Not very crowded but the hostess refused to seat people without reservations. Bread plate was sparse. Opens at 4 PM but were out of Prime Rib st 6 PM. Lamb chops were exquisite again. Thry have ample help. Utilize it. Disappointing.
Kamal’s absolutely THE best. The food was exceptional, as well!
The best part of our evening was the waiter he made the experience amazing will definitely be back to see him the experience was worth it the chicken Marsala to die for
Once again my experience at the Cove was outstanding. Alissa, our favorite server, made us feel that we were her only diners. The meals we chose were great. Steak done to perfection, love those brussel sprouts, creamed spinach melted in your mouth and the new carmelised onions were to dye for! My daughter Stephanie said that she looked forward to a trip to Harrah's Philadelphia not only to gamble ( she lives in Georgia) but to have a meal at the Cove!
My youngest brother's birthday. He ordered Pr8me Rib which was thick and tasty. I had the lamb chops. Definitely worth $38. I got 4 double chops (8 single chops when cut). The baked potato was as big as the king cut Prime Rib. Good sauteed spinach and fried brussel sprouts. Bread plate impressive. Would highly recommend. Tori was a great server. Very knowledgeable.
Excellent Steak (me) and Scallops (wife) as well as outstanding service. Mohammed went out of his way to make our meal so enjoyable.
Upon entering this establishment, atop The Harrah's Chester casino, there is a beautiful white baby grand piano. This would be the perfect spot for a piano lounge if only it would be manned for more hours than it presently is .
As always, the food was exceptional. The only problem was that my husband ordered the Seafood Trio which is supposed to have a lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. They were out of scallops! I ordered the clams with chorizo and the beet and blue salad. Both were excellent.
The food flavor was excellent; however, the server had a table of 20 plus 6 other tables and was rarely seen. The bigger issue was that this is a steakhouse and therefore expectations for a well prepared steak were high and completely unfulfilled.
Very disappointed to say the least. From the start we were forgotten by the staff. We had to flag down someone from the wait-staff just to take our drink order after we sat for approximately 25 mins. We attempted to order prime rib but were told they were sold out. Sold out at the first seating on a Saturday night. This is a steakhouse, folks. When we were finally served our appetizers after another 25 mins. had passed they served it piecemeal. There were four individuals in our party. Two of us were served our apps, then the third app came out about 15 mins. later and the fourth app never appeared. We had to have them remove it from our bill at the end of the evening. One of the apps was the seafood tower for two which was $60. The clams and oysters were pathetically tiny. We waited another 30 mins. for our dinner. Our waiter could tell we were perturbed so he brought champagne for the table. Dinner finally arrived but none of our side dishes came out. We were done dinner and we had to have them removed from our bill, also. Dinner came to $450 not including the tip. We waited forever for our waiter to take our payment. We just wanted out of there and the funny thing is, they really weren't that busy. I will say that my $59 steak was very tasty but it was way over-priced, just like everything else on the menu. The rest of the food was just okay, nothing to write home about. I would never return to this eating establishment nor would I recommend it to anyone.
I can't think of any other reason to go to this restaurant, unless you're already in the casino. The service is incredibly slow, our waiter was just badmouthing the kitchen about the delays. The food was decent, but nowhere near worth the price tag.
We only go once a year. Everything started off fine. The hostess was terrific. She had my request for the booth I wanted, and we sat there. The service was fine, as usual. But when I needed to use the restrooms, I walked to the back of the dining room only to find a sign blocking the hall, saying the restrooms were out of order and we needed to use one out on the casino floor. Which I did. I walked about 60 yards to get to the nearest one... which happens to be the most used and dirtiest in the place. Ugh. Why? And why didn't anyone tell us that before we were seated? Poor form.
Still, the food was good as always. Lobster cooked to perfection. Our server was really good, but we were confused as to why another man's name was listed on our bill as our server. Very strange.
I left there full, but very confused, and a little disappointed. I don't mind spending $60 for a plate, but I want working restrooms.
Went there to celebrate a birthday, it wasn't acknowledged until we were literally on the way out the door. Food was so-so, lobster tails came out cold. Service so-so. Dessert took forever to come out, and of the four options presented on the dessert menu, they were out of one (just a few hours after they opened for the day). Disappointing.
We were at Harrahs watching the horse races and the Kentucky Derby. The restaurant was conveniently located. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation and there were plenty of open tables but they asked us to wait in the lounge until our reservation time and said they would come get us at 7:30. About 10 minutes after our reservation time we still weren’t called so I went back to the desk and the host have never checked us in. That was annoying. It was very loud but there were a lot of drunk people, it was cinco de mayo. Our food was delicious, the wine was wonderful. I did however have a very upset stomach when I got home and I can’t say for sure why.
Excellent steak for me and my wife's Seafood stuffed with crab meat was also excellent-our server (Sparticus) was very professional
Awesome time with the family, my wife’s birthday she enjoyed her self. Thank you so much!
The Cove has been one of our favorite places. Unfortunately our party of six was disappointed with our meal. Our waiter was good but the restaurant was very under staffed. My husband was served a cold filet mignon, my son was served a well done ribeye even though he ordered it rare, and my daughter in-laws steak was cold. The appetizers and drinks were delicious as usual. We did not order desserts because of our poor dining experience.
Service was slow. Items asked for not delivered. Broccoli/ cauliflower was exceptionally salty and we were not able to eat it. Servers apologetic but never followed through
My bisque came out cold...Sparatagus nuked it it was fine. The wife's stuffed flounder was beyond bad. It looked like a stuffed chicken breast. The fish was hard as a rock because it was way overcooked. The manager just said oh well....you want a free desert? The place was empty
at 6pm...no surprise.
Our server Alissa was absolutely fantastic.... Very helpful and attentive.... She is truly a credit to the Cove and we will hopefully be seated again at one of her tables on our next visit...
Salmon was delicious and done just right. My husband's filet was perfectly cooked. Our waiter Spartokus was friendly and attentive
Love the Cove Steakhouse At Harrah’s Philadelphia. Excellent Steakhouse menu at slightly better than Steakhouse prices. Food and service was excellent. Server Alisa was very attentive and pleasant.
Steak was good, a bit over done but the service and ambiance was excellent.
the staff was awesome, the food was great, the atmosphere was perfect
Does not stack up to comparable steakhouses. Staff has no clue. Food is just ok.
I have never before waited so long for a check. I understand things can become confusing when you are issuing separate bills in a party but the waitstaff were well aware of our request ahead of time. Finally after waiting extremely long we had to go ask for checks. I don't know whose fault this was but it certainly put a damper on the evening. Our waiter was very attentive so I tipped him accordingly not associating the disastrous end of evening to him.
Great experience. The porterhouse steak was excellent. More than enough for two. Plus something to take home to Buster !!!!
After a busy day our experience was very nice. It was not noisy or over crowded, relaxing atmosphere and a great tentative server. He was very caring especially about my food allergies and made sure everything was good for me. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great service and the prime rib was excellent. The fact that it was on special made it a great deal. Cheesecake was the finishing touch. We will be back again
Prime steak? This should def be investigated. Tiny 14oz cut. I’ve had better at Outback. Both steaks we had were over cooked. But my biggest gripe is don’t call steaks “prime”, sell them for $53 when I’ve had the same at grocery store for $12. Never going back for steak.
Good: She Crab soup, Calamari appetizer, Mac n cheese, Asparagus, Scallops with risotto, Cheesecake, Cream Brule, Chocolate Smores cake
Fair: Wagy Burger w/fries, Beet salad
Needs Improvement: Brussels sprouts (burnt, extra crispy), KC steak (undercooked, lots of fat, very tough)
Food Overall: too pricey for the quality
Staff: friendly and attentive (KC steak was very disappointing, manager offered free dessert for the table and took one order of streak off the bill)
