The Courthouse Grille Ratings and Reviews
Outstanding food and service on a busy Saturday night. My husband tried a soup he had never heard of and loved it, as well as his seafood Alfredo, which was a daily special. My G&T was perfect--not too weak and not too strong. My meatloaf entree was slightlier spicy than I thought it would be, but I enjoyed it. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed and a little loud at 7 pm. By the time we finished, however, there were fewer diners and the noise level had receded accordingly. We will be back.
The crab stuffed shrimp with risotto was flavorless. We tend to do a lot of fine dining and was shocked that the meal had no flavor. Would expect more from a restaurant like this. Was too embarrassed to say anything to the server. The meal was barely touched. Will not go there again .
I have never written a critical review on Open Table before, however this restaurant was the worst of the worst. We were there to celebrate a family reunion and arrived at 4:00 pm. The place was empty. The waiter sat us and didn't return to the table - we had to chase him down to get any service. The place is run down, stunk of mildew and the food and service were terrible. Hard to believe this restaurant is on Open Table's roster... Hard to believe this restaurant is still open!
Horrible food and service. I have never received veal with charred edges and the red sauce was crazy old. The French onion should have been called French salt soup.
The guy walking around seemed nice maybe the owner. Said to see this cool building in great shape host this restaurant.
Hopefully they can figure it out
We love the atmosphere of the Courthouse Grill! It's relaxed yet refined - but not a place where you need to dress fancy to feel special. We visited for our anniversary - redeemed a Groupon and they gave us a dessert on the house for celebrating with them.
Food was great, our server was too - and that extra-special touch makes us guaranteed return visitors.
Oh and their sangria served in a mini pitcher (enough for a refill +) is the BEST deal!
Food was very good, but the service was horrible. We waited for 15 minutes after being seated before a server took our drink order. Food took unusually too long to come out to the table. After dinner I had to find someone to ask for our check, it then took 15 more minutes to bring the check to the table. There was a private party in the back room, perhaps we were there on an off night and the staff was too busy with the party. But, with all of the restaurant choices in the Northville/Plymouth area I doubt I will be going back there anytime soon.
While much of Plymouth must have been at home watching the OSU / Michigan game the four of us enjoyed great food next to the glass fronted fireplace. Steak, seafood raviolis, seasonal pumpkin raviolis, entrée salads, lentil with bacon soup and a couple of rounds on the crusty/soft bread.
Tables had linen clothes, our waiter was spot on with timing the dishes, and house Pinot Noir was just fine, will order again.
The Courthouse Grill is about a mile north/east outside of the Plymouth central downtime area. Fewer crowds, great wine/food/prices. We are going back.
The only thing lacking was our server. He was adequate. It would have been nice if he had inquired if this was our first time there. He did not offer an over view of the options on the menue. He did not inquire what brought us out that night. We were celebrating his birthday and our Anniversary.
This was a lunch date with sisters over 54 years of age. The building is old and does have that old building smell, however the staff was most gracious and responsive and this more than made up for the musty smell. This was the perfect place for us to luncheon. We arrived just before 11:30 and were the first to arrive. By the time we left our room was full, mostly of people over 40. Food was good and we will likely return. It was the perfect atmosphere for a ladies lunch.
