Food was pretty good overall, service was excellent. A smaller place and going through a ownership change right now so not sure if maybe that's why things were not as good as usual, will try again.
We typically have great service but were surprised this past time to find that our server charged us twice for an appetizer. We asked for veggies because we needed it gluten free and ordered dinner as GF as well. When the app came out, we saw breadcrumbs on it. We notified the server and she said well I’ll split that mistake with you and she said I’ll be right out. She said although we said veggies for gluten free, we didn’t specifically order the app gluten free so that it didn’t count... when we got our bill, we were charged twice— once for the app she left with us and once for the app correctly as we intended ordered it. We typically have great service so perhaps she was having a bad night but I was rather disappointed when I got the bill. She told us we’d split the difference... but we were charged for both. I’m not sure what that means but I don’t believe it’s good business practice. It’ll be a while before we’re back even if this was an occasional mistake.
This was my first time here. We were sat at our table right away. It wasn’t very busy, out reservation was 6:45, so we missed the happy hour crowd.
Our waitress was great! Super friendly and very attentive. She answered our questions regarding the menu and made our evening special!
The food was good. We started with the Thai shrimp appetizer, delicious!
I ordered the short rib as my entree and my fiancé ordered the filet mignon. Both were good!
Overall, we enjoyed our evening here and would definitely come back!
The service is excellent! Very attentive waitress for every move! Appetizers, cheese board, salads and wine are my favorite thing to do at the Cork. I don't eat the entrees 'cause I don't care for the oils they use to cook with.
Visited for the first time with friends on a Saturday night. Food was very good and noise level was low enough that it was easy to carry on a conversation. I would go back.
Wait staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly-ensuring you have a pleasant dining experience. I would certainly revisit!
I should have sent my meal back, leg of lamb. I was told the lamb would be prepared medium. The piece of lamb I received resembled shoe leather, tough and slim.
I would recommend sandwiches. I have been here before and my sandwich was good.
Our server was quite good except for her information about the lamb.
Martinis are weak, which was fine for us.
We came here to try their restaurant weeks menu. We ended up ordering a couple things from the regular menu, too. Solid pub fare, with a twist. Definitely something on this menu for everyone. Also definitely a locals place -- the ambience was friendly and down-home.
We have been here before but decided to go for Howard County restaurant week after looking at the menu. It did not disappoint. The kitchen knocked it out of the park, in fact. Grateful mix of flavors. The gazpacho was the biggest surprise since neither of us could imagine a sorbet pairing but it was incredible. The sorbet added a unique flavor profile. It complimented the garlic in a most delightful way. Don't miss this dish.
Our server, Melanie, was equally outstanding. Her timing of courses was right on point. She was always refreshing the water without us having to ask (a personal pet peeve of mine). Super friendly and genuine. A rare quality found in the service industry these days. Highly recommend checking out The Cork.
Lots of of food option, good wine list. Draft beers limited but fair amount of bottled beer options.
Always a good spot for food and fellowship !
Outstanding food. Reasonably priced wine choices. Melanie, our server, was friendly and attentive.
WE ORDERED THE FRIED GREEN TOMATOES AND THEY WERE MUCH TOO SPICY.
I HAD A REUBEN WHICH WAS GOOD AND HUBBY HAD A TURKEY SANDWICH THAT WAS JUST FAIR. SERVER WAS EXTREMELY NICE
We dine here every few weeks, and always enjoy the meal. Food choices are innovative and fun try. Waitstaff is top-notch.
This was our first visit. We found it to be a great local restaurant with very good food. We had great servcie too. Very comfortable and casual environment.
Always a great time here with friends!! Highly recommend. Great brunch too.
Great food and service. Went for a early brunch with family and everyone enjoyed their food. Bottomless mimosas and bloody marys were a great value at $12. The breakfast pizza was delicious.
Always a great experience
Second time to visit and the only complaint is that it’s so hard to decide what to have because you’re afraid of missing something else that’s really good! Servers are wonderful and the owner is very hands on and so nice!
This was our first time and what pleasant surprise so close to home. The food was well conceived and well presented. There was a nice array of small and large dishes, and the 3 Small’s we had were enough for a light dinner. The Thai shrimp stood out, with the squash risotto cream and almost delicate. Attentive service complimented the evening
GREAT FOOD, WAITRESS, WINE. OVERALL WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN.
Always well-prepared, always attentive service, nice low-key atmosphere. We eat there 2 or 3 times monthly.
Mother’s Day: The service was great, as the waitress was very nice. My mother-in-law and wife’s food came out wrong, the potatoes were drenched in old bay (I understand Marylanders love old bay, but I literally had a hard time eating them). The owner/manager was extremely apologetic and compensated us. Perhaps we will try this place again, as it received such great reviews, but just not on such a busy occasion.
Food was good, server was friendly and attentive. They advertised hash browns with their brunch sides, but they don’t offer hash browns. Hash browns are grated potatoes, they had quartered potatoes commonly called home fries. Overall decent experience.
Great food! Great service! Will definitely go back.
Always good food and service is usually pretty good. The chef is amazing and has some great meals put together. The whiskey selection is great and the menu seems to always have a couple nice surprises
We really enjoyed our dinner and drinks, and the live entertainment--Stan Whitaker--was amazing!!!
Dinner was good but roasted brussel sprouts were under cooked making them difficult to eat. Everything else was delicious.
Restaurant is one of our favorites and we will continue to frequent it. 😊
Another excellent meal. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was very good as were the seared ahi tacos.
We have eaten here on at least 4 previously occasions. The service is always great and the food never disappoints.
Prompt seating and service all 3 meals looked and tasted great!
Dinner specials are always creative and never disappoint. Most recent dinner I chose the seared scallops and they were perfection! Servers are always friendly and professional. You can always find something interesting on the wine and drinks list to try! Definitely worth multiple visits!
We usually go to the cork at least once a week. We truly enjoy the staff, they know our preferences and always give excellent service. The owners are very hands-on and the chef is always changing things up. Super spot to unwind for the weekend.
This is not a bargain restaurant but worth every penny. The down to earth atmosphere and ambiance complements the out of this world food. Over a course of several dinners, paired tastings, and a brunch, all of the food was excellent to outstanding. Cocktails are great, including several interesting martinis, and the wine list is another excellent feature of this little restaurant with a big personality.
In addition, there are several specials and events every month that are detailed on the website. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant for a special experience.
You can expect good food , drink and service at a reasonable price.
Cork was on point, yet again. They never disappoint. Our table was set and waiting for us as soon as we walked in the door. With tonight being St. Patrick’s Day, we opted for the Irish fare instead of the normal menu. Everything was excellent. Our waiter, Cole, was fantastic and took great care of us. We are always extremely pleased with our dining experiences at Cork.
First time, went out to dinner and it happened to be St Paddy's Day. I WISH the potato and leek soup special were a daily menu staple. My mother's mahi order looked a bit tiny compared to other dishes, but everything was well prepared and delicious! Will definitely go back for a night of small plates and drinks.
Although the food was great, our waitress certainly had attitude. When we asked for bread, she said they don’t usually provide it but she’d get some. So she brought a small stale baguette that was inedible. She never smiled and really acted as if it was an effort to wait on us. If this had been my first visit, I would never return. But I’ve been there with different servers and had a great experience. What a bummer for a romantic date night.
Food was delicious and our server was amazing! Would highly recommend Sunday brunch!
I have never had a bad experience or any "bad" food at the Cork. Everything is always delicious!! The Valentine's Day menu was incredible and certainly reasonably priced. Four courses and a glass of champagne for $49! Entrees included filet mignon, scallops, lamb chops... Highly recommend!
Love The Cork . Yes I’m a regular so they know what I like and is so comfortable .. Thursday is martini night and they are so delicious . Tuesday is half price for a bottle of wine another reason to go . I love their filets , comes with crab Mac & cheese to die for . Enough to give me lunch the next day . This is my go to place as I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad drink .
