I'm picky, so consider that when I say SOOO GOOD! I had the crab cake breakfast. Husband had the benedict. Plates were taken away empty. Ask for Angie - she's a gem!!! Upgrade to the root vegetable hash. This was our first time here and we WILL be back!
I met a group of friends at The Copper Hen for my birthday brunch. The menu options, food, and service were all wonderful. I even got a complimentary glass of champagne! Thank you!
Dined with a large (8) group. Food was amazing, as it always is. My order was wrong (most likely due to the loud atmosphere) but the correct order was brought out very quickly. Love coming here.
Food was delicious and the bottomless mimosas were exceptional. Will definitely go back again.
The atmosphere and service were amazing! The dinner menu looked great, but overall we were disappointed with our meal. Not a bad meal persay, but not good enough to make us come back.
Very knowledgeable with gluten free items. The menu was limited for true gf for a celiac guest but chef and wait staff were very accommodating and helpful.
This was an afternoon outing for the geriatric crowd. Ages from 81-95! We all live in a condo in Edina and like to try different places for lunch! It was a sunny day and nice to drive around the lakes after lunch. The only negative is that parking is across the street! Although at least there is off street parking! Food was great .....noise level high.
What a great brunch! Lively place with excellent food and service. Thank you. We'll be back!
Scratch kitchen and food is phenomenal. Baked goods to die for. Gave the overall rating a 4 due to how cramped the seating is in the restaurant. Will dine again.
Service was a bit sketchy in the beginning. One of our diners got there for our reservation and they were very few people in the restaurant, and they were all served coffee and beverages and my friend was not even approached initially. There were some mixups in delivering our food, but eventually it was all straightened out and I waitress was fabulous and comped two desserts for us. We love the food and we love the ambience and we love your place, and mishaps: sometimes happen
We really enjoyed this restaurant. This was our first time here and were so pleasantly surprised. The food, atmosphere and drinks were great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be back with friends!
Bartending could use some work. Dirty martini didn’t taste like the classic should.
Food and waitress were terrific!
Food was great! Service not so much, we rarely saw our waitress and getting refills on our drinks or even ordering was a nightmare. We would have to flag her down because she wouldn’t even check on our table. We told her multiple times we were ready to order and she would just say she’d be back in a few.
It was so loud. Could barely hold a conversation. Food was meh. Loved the drinks. Service was mediocre.
Very loud, busy and food delivery was slow because of how busy they were, but food was worth it!
Tables are very close to one another. Food was above average, I had the duck that was on special which was good, but the fried chicken I tried on my friend's plate was great!
Food was amazing as usual. Service was quick and with a smile. It was full and very loud but we still enjoyed our visit.
Menu was great! Food was great! Service was excellent!
Love, love this restaurant! I always find something yummy on the menu; this time I had the shrimp and grits--delicious!
Amazing food! Too loud! Waited a long time for our food(over an hour). The coffe was good while we waited.
Great atmosphere...fish a bit salty, great service!
Food was way too rich made it hard to eat too very much... we had the baked cookie for dessert and it was quite good
Excellent food and the best deserts!
Delicious, Yummy and fun. Betsy our waitress was knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and made the experience very enjoyable ‼️😁
I love everything about this place-except the accoustics! It is SO loud - always - and I don't think I should have to shout across the table to have a conversation. And it isn't just from being "loud" because of being full of patrons, but loud because of the design. I know some noise-dampening panels on the ceiling would take away from the "ambiance," but unless I can sit outside (weather permitting) in the future, I will go elsewhere.
Went for brunch with a girlfriend and had a great experience. The Bloody Mary was amazing and we both had crabby toast. Highly recommend.
Went for my birthday with my parents. The waitress clearly had too many tables, as it took us 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. My mom had to go up to the host and ask her if we could get coffee. From then, that seemed to annoy our waitress. Our food was awesome, and I appreciated the birthday champagne, but I thought if we went early enough on a Saturday (10am) that it would be better service.
They were unable to seat us in the area I originally requested (not a big deal); were apologetic & kind about it. Warm & genuine server. Meals superb as always. My visiting Chicago buddies loved it; I don’t get to see them often & appreciated the busy hostess pausing to take a few photos of us when I asked on the way out.
The halibut meal was very good. Service was excellent and even assisted in finding us reliable transportation back to hotel.
Wonderful food, but horribly loud. Couldn't hear the other members of my party, and we we're hear for a special occasion. Rather ruined the mood. But the food was wonderful. Great mimosas. Friendly service.
While the food was overall pretty good, our server Emily was not friendly, forgetful, and didn't listen to our order requests. We specifically ordered a pancake side and even clarified that it was a side when she delivered it. She proceeded to charge us for a full order only changing it upon our request. We also had to constantly ask for refills on our"bottomless" mimosas. Don't really recommend, probably won't go back.
We went with my mother in law and two kids. Copper Hen had been on my list of places to try for awhile and I was not disappointed. I recommend the eggs Benedict, it was the best I've had. We will be back!
The food is average, heavy, not for those looking for something healthy. I like farm to table places, but execution was off. Thw hostess greeted us, but when she led us to our table she put down the menus and left, never indicating if that was our table. It was awkward and rude. The shredded Brussel sprouts were amazing. The burger was standard. The Boozy cake was premade and horrible. The frosting was too sweet and the booze made it bitter. The servers almost forget about you, and you can hear them sitting having conversations and cursing while they sit in one of the front tables. Not going back! amazing.
I love this place overall but we had a server that was struggling with the iPad ordering and had to come back several times. She’s not new, I’d seen her before. Also, not a place for quiet conversation, too loud.
The food was fresh and flavorful. The dishes were unique and creative, and the presentation was very nice. The service was good. The staff was friendly. I would recommend a trip here for a great meal.
The food was excellent.
The service awful. The server was the most inconsiderate and inattentive server I have ever experienced.
The hostess was dressed for a club with no bra and a see thru shirt. I saw more boobs than when I look at myself naked. Completely in appropriate.
I brought my grandmother to Copper Hen for brunch while she was in the cities. We were NOT disappointed! We each ordered a dish then shared. She ordered the biscuits and gravy which were excellent. I ordered the farmer's brunch - the bread pudding french toast was amazing! I thought the eggs and vegetable hash were good, but nothing too special. Heads up with the farmer's brunch order, this is a lot of food - expect to bring some home with you. Would highly recommend this restaurant for brunch! Also can't go wrong with $10 bottomless mimosas.
Food was decent, but it is really LOUD in there when it's busy.
It was a good brunch loved the bottomless mimosa.
Not sure if the chef has changed since we were last here but the experience wasn’t the same. Food was ok but not nearly as amazing as I remember it. My salad was ok but I would say about half the size and quality of the prior one I would order. Service was spotty. Three different people stopped at our table but then when we really needed some water and to finish up no one was around. Parking used to be great across the street, It now that’s gone too.
