Decided to try The Copper Hen for Restaurant Week and thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Appreciated the local ingredients/farm to fork feel. We will certainly be back for another dinner and have heard lovely things about their weekend brunch as well! Keep up the great work, Copper Hen team!
Server Jade was friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks (Minne Gin/Tonic) were too fru-fru and $$. Mac and Cheese good, as was burger (but what the hell is "burger sauce"?) Champagne cupcake very dry (informed Jade).
Excellent experience. We went for MPLS Restaurant Week and really enjoyed everything we ordered. We will definitely be back!
Very nice atmosphere, good food, good service. WAY too loud. Why play music that adds to noise?
Love coming here, great turkey burger and appetizers
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is delicious and the restaurant is the cutest. The only thing is the service can sometime be really slow for brunches.
I love the freshness of the food and the servers are friendly.
Our server was not very attentive to our table. We had long waits between courses.
Outstanding food selection and quality! Love this place!
We highly recommend the bloody mary and the biscuits and gravy.
I fell in love with the feel and experience from the moment I walked in. The food was beyond delicious. Everyone ordered something different so we could try multiple dishes, and the were all to die for. I would recommend The Copper Hen for anyone looking for a unique Minneapolis dining experience.
We had a great meal with some very interesting food. Some items a little heavy on the salt, but overall delicious
First visit and was satisfied with quality of food and service. Staff was attentive and polite. Did not try any of the many drinks listed on menu, but they look to be interesting mixes. I will definitely go again.
The food was delicious but pricey. I would recommend going for lunch on Tuesday - Thursday since the brunch menu is only menu available for Friday - Sunday.
Friends from Chicago came into town for the 4th. We expected it to be busy, so I threw in a reservation for 12:45PM.
Showed up at 12:35, didn't get seated until 1:20.
Once we were seated, we waited until 1:45 before our order was taken.
After we ordered, the food came out at 2:40. We would watch other people walk in, get seated, get served, and walk out before our food came out.
I'm sure this is a one-off situation, but it was awful. I wouldn't recommend going to this restaurant.
We can’t wait to come back for brunch! Delicious food, local beer! It’s the best
Waited 45 minutes for a table, got order wrong... twice
Great restaurant, unique menu items. Downside VERY, VERY loud.
Brunch was excellent, flavorful, perfect amount of food, great presentation. Interesting menu.
I usually LOVE this place, but today was not so great:( Service was extremely slow, server made a number of errors and once we finally got our food (40+ minutes after we ordered)...it was cold and undercooked. Such a bummer as I usually RAVE about this place.
Wonderful brunch. LOVED the bread pudding french toast that came with the Copper Hen brunch
Brunch was very good! Everyone at our table enjoyed what they ordered
We were there for Sunday brunch. It was so loud we could barely hear each other at a table for two. Service and my food was very good but my companion said her choice was too salty.
Really cute restaurant, good service, tasty food with locally sourced ingredients.
Typically it is a good experience but not today. Waitress was subpar at best, biscuits and gravy were bland, potatoes were super salty, pancake had to be sent back because it was goo in the center, coffee cup was typically empty... sad part was it wasn’t crazy busy 😔
We got seated right away. Our server was very nice and helpful at the beginning. But once we got our food it was hard to catch his attention. It took a while to get our bill and to go box. We loved the decoration and atmosphere and the food was great! We enjoyed our meal at the copper hen!
Excellent service. Creative and delicious cocktails. Highly recommend!
I’ve been 3 times and enjoyed each. Quaint spot, good food, good service and worth the drive and parking concerns.
Staff even served up a cocktail w/ cotton candy for a friend who liked her drinks “sweet.” Nice touch.
Went for brunch. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the noise level. It was to impossible to hear my friend across the table because of the din and that definitely put a damper on the experience. The food was excellent however so I will give it another visit. Maybe I'll try to get an outdoor table next time.
Well prepared, fresh ingredients, unique dishes. Great for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Very noisy environment,
Ran out of pancakes. PANCAKES!!!!!!!!?? Other items make more sense like quiche or cinnamon rolls.
Fun setting. Very fast service, and great food!
Varied menu choices made it a delightful option for Father’s Day ! We will come back to try dinner soon!
The bacon quiche was to die for! Also, really liked the buttermilk pancakes with cinnamon whipped cream and the root vegetable hash. The noise level was a little high but the setting was cozy, bright, and unique. My husband really enjoyed his Father's Day brunch.
Great food, good service. Enjoyed the spring fling mocktail. Chocolate chip cookie in a skillet is enormous — definitely big enough to share!
Drinks, apps, meal and desserts; everything was amazing! Easily top 3 in Minneapolis. We’ll be back.
Very yummy brunch!!! Loved the vanilla latte, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, with perfect cinnamon whip cream. The eggs were ok not amazing and the chicken sausage I'd pass on next time. Overall a very nice brunch option that I'd recommend in Minneapolis.
Host was rude.
We were meeting with a group to plan a reunion in Sweden for July 2019 and picked the Copper Hen because it was in close proximity to the American Swedish Institute which was hosting Midsommar. None of us had been at the Copper Hen before, but "wow", what a gem of a restaurant. Welcoming, friendly staff. Great service; great food. We'll definitely be back.
Great service! Great menu! Would recommend for food and adult beverage!
