Amazing food, desserts, Happy Hour and our signature Farmhouse Brunch on the weekends.
we each had a different brunch entrée and everything was very tasty. I enjoyed the red flannel hash very much. good service and hip crowd.
I had high hopes for this place but was a little disappointed that my breakfast came out cold.
Perfect spot for brunch! Delicious food and great bottomless mimosa price. Service was great and very friendly.
Hell's Kitchen is one of the best breakfast places I've been to. I'm in town from the Chicago area, and if I return to Minneapolis I will definitely come back here. The huevos rancheros, eggs bennie with thick sliced ham and sausage bread were beyond delicious. We purchased 2 three pound loaves of the sausage bread to take home it was so yummy and totally unique. Oh, and I don't want to forget to mention the service was outstanding. Can't go wrong here. A gem in the underworld.
I had the crabby avocado toast! Insanely delicious
Super loud for brunch. Long waits without reservations. Tough to find parking, especially in winter
Super cute place, great food, a little spendy, slow service.
This food is so amazing and the mimosas basically regenerate themselves.
What a charming Minneapolis gem. We went there for my husband's birthday and enjoyed an amazing brunch complete with a complimentary birthday champagne. We will be back again to see what the dinner menu will bring!
The place was really cute, I liked the atmosphere and our server was great. Unfortunately our food was cold/lukewarm and not very good. Did like the bottomless mimosa!
Birthday brunch with family. Best brunch food I have had at a restaurant. Plenty of options on menu for varied tastes and appetites. Breakfast potatoes were delicious side dish. Everyone in the group raved about their meal.
Bummer we were sat right by the front door and every time the door opened blast of cold air.
Price was moderate.
There are many tables in the restaurant - very close quarters and fairly noisy for conversation around a table of 6.
But the food was fabulous!
Great food, and the service was good for how busy it was. The bottomless mimosa deal is really good too!
Our server was excellent, the table area thankfully in the bar as it was not as incredibly noisy as the main room. The food was very tasty, but the bread pudding a bit too crusty. I had indicated that it was a special occasion, but they did not acknowledge that.
I split the Brussels Caesar salad and the classic pizza with a friend. The Brussels were raw and seemed to lack flavor, like more dressing. But the classic pizza was great! On top of the mozzarella there seemed to be another cheese, like ricotta which balanced out the flavor perfectly. Their cupcakes as a dessert with some espresso was the perfect way to end the night. I loved the ambiance of this place and their focus on farm to table. Expired to go back and try the pot pie that I saw a few people get!
We had a fabulous experience!! The wait staff was attentive and very gracious! The food was hot and delicious. A couple people tried the drinks and they were yummy. I want the brussel sprout Caesar salad recipe, we were super surprised at the great flavor of it. We were so full from the great food that we had to take the cupcakes home to enjoy. Which we did! Especially the boozy cupcake! Thank you for a great night out!
The service was extremely slow. It seemed they were understaffed, which is odd because they should have geared up for Restaurant Week. The soup and the mac & cheese were quite good. The hamburger had gristle in it and the pot pie was too heavy with herbs. The cupcakes were excellent!
Sunday brunch: The food was good and the drinks were good but the noise level was deafening. We were seated next to the bar. I had a reservation and got in right away. Parking was very difficult on Sunday even with the free parking across the street. Took us awhile to get waitress but she was attentive after that.
Fabulous food! Fun time was had by all. Charming decor. Thank so much for the wonderful service!
The food for the most part was fabulous....we ordered a little of this & that & shared
My favs were the Bloody Mary with the blueberry bacon cupcake! Yup more like a bisquit with icing & BACON!
The cinnamon roll THE BOMB...apparently ours was heated in the oven, NOT THE NORM...SHOULD BE THE NORM! Way better over the bread pudding french toast.
The crabbie avo toast phenomenal! Way better than the, the farmhers brunch ..
except the creamed spinach/kale...out of this world!
Wasn't crazy about the farmhouse salad...
This place definitely worth trying...we will be going back! Make reservations!
We came here for breakfast very excited, but the food was very underwhelming. Their hollandaise sauce was separated and very sour on top of really fatty ham for the eggs Benedict. My sister has a food allergy and was very specific of what she could not eat and ended up getting sick. The ambiance is fantastic, noise level is high, food... below average.
Even though we had a reservation it took then more than 30 mins to seat us. We had our appetizer server at about 1hr after our reservation.Very disappointing!
The restaurant is full of good vibe and industrial chic meets farmhouse decor. Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. It was so busy the night we went that service was on the slow side and the food took awhile to come out. The chicken pot pie was great but a little spendy considering it didn’t come with a salad or other accompaniment. The salmon was really great and a very generous portion. Also wondering where the sides were to add to the meals...maybe I missed them.
Brunch Date was very good and good service. Always great food here!!
Fabulous food, creative and Delicious cocktails, great service. Tables are very close together so it can be hard to get out if you are sitting at a middle table. It is extremely noisy so it isn’t a place to go if you want good conversation. You have to nearly yell at one another. Saturday’s are extremely busy—make reservations well in advance!
Great food, but it is a very LOUD space & they have squeezed in tables to fill every last space of the restaurant. Honestly, there was less than a foot between the 3 tables around us.
First, this place is gorgeous. Beautiful ambiance with big beams and farmhouse style decor. The menu had something for everyone, but perhaps lacked a large amount of sweet breakfast options. Not am issue for me, as I'm all about savory breakfast. The food was delightful. So. Good. Everyone loved what they ordered.
I give 3 stars because the service was slow and a bit inattentive. One in our party ordered a cinnamon roll and not only was it not brought out with her food (as requested), but we needed to remind the staff twice that it was missing. Bottomless mimosas, water glasses and coffee mugs were left empty though the restaurant wasn't busy yet. One in our party has a dairy allergy and cannot have it touch her food. This was noted when ordering and still recieved a dairy based breakfast potato dip on her plate (in a condiment cup, but still).
We had time and we're not in a rush, so the service didn't necessarily impact our fun. The food was delightful and very tasty. The restaurant was beautiful. I'd go again, but know that it'll take a while.
Great food, great drinks, trendy ambiance, friendly service!
The Copper Hen is a charming place with a great ambiance. The cocktails, wine and food were very good. The server was charming, but not as attentive as I would have liked. I was dining alone and that seems to come with the risk of being overlooked. I was there for an early dinner was the place was not busy yet. The server got stuck at one table with two very chatty people talking about high school sports and if the server wrestled in Hugh school - kind of unique conversation - and it lasted at least 20 minutes. He only had two other tables so he was slow. Once he came around he was great. I highly recommend the Copper Hen.
Great Valentine's Day 5 course meal.
Extremely disappointed. Valentine's Day pre-fixe menu LOOKED amazing on paper. TERRIBLE in execution. First corse, Beet Bisque was burnt. They said it was "smoked". There were literally black chunks floating in it and it tasted like ash, and I'm sorry to say that because I'm sure they made a huge batch and had no choice but to serve it. The rest of the courses were mediocre and overall my wife and I were let down. This was my first time (and last) at the Copper Hen. Perhaps my expectations were too high? Needless to say we will not be returning as we essentially wasted $200 on a meal that I could have cooked better. I honestly wish we would have left after that first awful course as it was a tell tale sign of the poor quality food to follow.
A wonderful menu and dinner. Each course was excellent! I particularly liked the lobster cake!
Our second visit was for the Valentines prix fixe menu. No care had been taken to make this evening Valentines appropriate. The lights were up, the staff was bustling (or running in the case of one expeditor) and no candles or other decor. Our waiter was wearing sweatpants, joggers, a long sleeved T-shirt, and sneakers, others were equally casual. He was pleasant but perfunctory, clearing plates before we were both done and not offering a cocktail at start or a coffee at end. The food was fair, well conceived but quickly and carelessly plated and delivered. The expeditor delivering courses dropped them hard and left without a word, 5 out of 5 times. Our roasted beet soup tasted charred, unpleasant. The other courses were tasty but unremarkable and well portioned. We opted for the wine pairing, a cocktail each, and coffees and with 20% tip we payed about 250. Well above the rate for the kind of food served, we didn’t reduce tip for service we received.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. Didn't care much for the beet soup but everything else was delicious. The wine parings were perfect and the Blackberry Short Ribs melted in your mouth.
It was amazing to be able to eat EVERYTHING on the menu. Having celiac disease makes it hard to eat out. It was so fun to eat everything. The chocolate cake with blood orange mouse was amazing!
The Valentine's day menu was outstanding - 5 small but wonderful plates. The waitstaff was excellent. And best of all, I didn't have to be concerned about dairy issues!
We went to the Valentines Day Price Fix dinner. There were some real highlights especially with the Lobster Cake. That was a incredibly good.
Overall, it was a fantastic evening. If I had to critique anything, it would be that there was no presentation of the wines we were served. A couple of them really highlighted the meal and it would have been nice to know the brands. Then again, we didn't think to ask at the time as we were enjoying the meal and evening.
Great place for brunch! Plate sizes were good, and the cinnamon bun is a MUST HAVE.
I thought this place was absolutely beautiful and I loved the ambiance. My only compliments that I thought the food was a little overpriced, and my food tasted okay. I got the classic pizza, and this style pizza is my absolute favorite. The part I didn’t like was that there was something about the cheese that made me feel naescous. I tried eating it, but I could only get a slice in. I tried eating it the next day, thinking maybe it just didn’t settle with me when I got it, but I couldn’t even swallow the pizza . :(
Delicious food. Delicious bottomless mimosas... Cute place.. everything was great!
