This was a first visit and we had a very good brunch. We came 15 minutes before our 9:30 reservation on Saturday morning to make sure we could get outdoor seating. Service was prompt and friendly with easy accommodation of dietary improvisation. I had the brunch salad without bacon and with extra wild mushrooms. It comes with a poached egg on top. It was well made. Also had 3 cappuccinos. The difference between good or very good and excellent would have been fresh rather than frozen orange juice and a greater variety of roasted wild mushrooms. I will return to see what dinner is like.
Cute little place with free parking. Space is fun and tables are spaced out pretty good. Food was great but service was slow. Enjoyed the cocktails...they were fun and creative.
The process of reserving a table, checking in with the host, and being seated were all very efficient. We were able to choose either a table inside or outside, and were sat right away. The hosts immediately brought us water and our server was quick to greet us. The food and drinks came out very quickly after ordering, and the food was phenomenal!! Overall had a wonderful experience from start to finish and will definitely be going again.
Decided to have brunch. The food was spot on! Service was pretty good for a busy Saturday. A little noisy at times.
Kind people and delicious food
Food was amazing! Big portions and great atmosphere. Wish we lived closer.
Delicious pizza and yummy drinks. Went there for my 21st birthday and it was awesome.
Sooo good! Every dish was better than the next- highly recommend the Salmon Rilette and the Tomato Soup to start. Their vanilla cupcakes are so yummy!! We loved it so much we went back for dinner the next day. Service, food, drinks, and ambiance all rock. Would highly recommend!
Perfect breakfast for out of town visitors. Bottomless mimosas hit the spot!
Food wasn’t very good. Pork chop was very dry and tough. Salmon was okay but wouldn’t order again. Brussel sprout salad and tomato dill soup were the best part of dinner.
Waitress had no personality and not very knowledgeable on wine selection.
I would not go back to this restaurant.
Very good experience in a time where extra TLC is needed
The food was amazing and plentiful. On the day we visited they seemed a bit short staffed but the service did not suffer.
TLDR: Takes Covid-19 seriously; go for brunch, not for dinner; impeccable service like always.
My girlfriend and I love brunch and eat it way to frequently here (recommend to friends, bring visiting guests). The chef knows how to make a great breakfast/brunch. Unfortunately that didn't translate into a great dinner (the bar is already high to start). Let me be clear, the food was expertly prepared (I had steak, she had halibut, her daughter had pizza). Steak ordered medium rare. Delivered medium rare. Halibut cooked perfectly. Her summer salad read great on the menu. There was nothing wrong with the food as cooked. However, the combinations felt 'off'. The usual medley of flavors we've experienced at brunches weren't there. Each ingredient tasted great individually but collectively something was amiss. Service met and exceeded the usual expectations including given my girlfriend's daughter a free cupcake. We will be back ourselves or with guests for brunch. It may have been an off night for dinner, so we will try it again in the future. Until we meet again Copper Hen.
As an aside, we both were impressed with the commitment level regarding Covid-19 safety practices. This is the only restaurant we've seen where the table and chairs were sanitized between patrons. And I don't mean misted quickly. The hostess scrubbed the tables and chairs to ensure sanitizer reached all the nooks and crannies.
We love The Copper Hen for brunch on the weekends! This was our second visit and we will be back. The food is great and staff is very friendly.
Food is always great! Our server was so attentive and speedy!
The experience was great! We did have to request the music be turned down slightly.
One of the few post-COVID dining spots I’ve been to with a vibrant, fun feel to the dining experience. Food was excellent.
Amazing food and service. Will be back again soon.
Love having brunch there. Food and service is always great. Love the chef.
Good grub. A bit overpriced but I’m willing to pay for it during covid. Attentive and friendly service. Crab app was a bit sloppy. Everything kind of melded together. It needed something. My burger was delicious. The bun was fresh and tasty but couldn’t keep up with the bacon and egg topping. My wife said the pot pie was different but good. The crust was more dense rather than flakey. My old fashioned was tasty and my wife loved her gin carrot drink. I’d come back. I’d love to try the pastries.
The depth of flavor in their dishes is amazing. Benedict, biscuits and gravy and the side of bread pudding French toast are unforgettable.
Great experience. Food was top notch. Social distancing was great.
Their drinks are great. Crabby toast was really good. Burger was just okay. Too dry and bun was too big.
This was my first time here and it was a great experience. The portions were perfect and who can go wrong with bottomless Mimosas? I be be back again for some quality brunching!
Service was fast, food was great! Went for brunch with a group of three, found something for everyone easily. Also felt very safe with the COVID protocols in place, including all staff wearing face coverings, easily accessible hand sanitizer, adequate spacing and more.
Great experience except for repeatedly being approached by panhandlers while at our outside table
1st time here. Loved the gf options. The old fashion and old fashion with maple was delicious!
Tasty bacon, could have been cooked crisper. Over all average food...first time here...we’ll try for dinner sometime
An outstanding meal with top notch service! Bravo to the chef!!!
My partner love to come to The Copper Hen for our special moments and went for our 2 year anniversary. The staff worked with my allergy and were nothing but positive. The food is GREAT and I want to bring home a tub of the cheese whiz :-)
food and service were amazing! bottomless mimosas hit the spot! will be back!!
This place is typically one of my favorite brunch spots, some of the best pancakes in the Twin Cities but since COVID they’ve started charging for syrup. I noticed my syrup pour as well as my Mother’s were half way filled- when we asked for more syrup and showed the waiter how little we were originally given - he apologized, agreed the pour way too little and informed us of the new syrup policy (he also stating how ridiculous it was).
I asked for the manager and was told “We order a $300 type of syrup...”
My response “that’s not my or any of your other customer’s problem”
Great place, I usually enjoy brunch there once every other month but now I will be reconsidering as I always order pancakes.
The service was excellent with lots of personality attention. It was very quiet and comfortable. The food was also excellent and the drinks outstanding. Anyone that needs to get out for dinner, this is the place to go.
Our server Elizabeth was great and very attentive!
Our server was great! He was as very attentive, fun and friendly! Checked on us often and made it a great experience.
Service was great, the drinks were awesome and the chocolate chip cookie skillet was incredible! Highly recommend!
As always, The Copper Hen was amazing!! The food was incredible, our server was awesome, and it was the perfect date night spot!
It was amazing, our server was fun! The bottomless mimosas were perfect! The food was good all around and so was the dessert we took home with us to enjoy later :)
The service was slow. We had the turkey burger and regular burger and both seemed prepackaged. The fries were good.
