The Copper Hen
Amazing as usual- been coming for two years and it never disappoints!
Had a good date night here! It was our 2nd time and was just as good as the 1st. Young, attentive staff.
Wife had the poached pear and prosciutto pizza, sounds weird but it was great. I had the 32oz pork shank with broccoli and squash purée, it was rich, tender and well balanced.
Love this restaurant!!! I will definitely be back.
Birthday brunch. Delicious food and bottomless mimosas. Such a special place to come with friends!
Read about the restaurant in a Travel and Leisure article about top restaurants for Mother's Day. We were a party of 4, celebrating our daughter's college graduation over brunch. Overall, everyone really liked the food, including the Copper Benedict, the Root Vegetable Hash, the Donut Muffin and the Bacon blueberry breakfast cupcake.
We were seated within minutes of our Sunday 11:30 am reservation. We sat in the back of the restaurant, which was quite nice. Our waiter was friendly and answered our questions.
Average food, average service. Too loud for the elderly guests in my party. Decorated nicely.
Getting a text at the bar that my table was ready did not seem appropriate. A host should have come over and escorted us.
My fork was dirty.
The waiter brought the appetizer and laid it on the menu. He forgot to bring a dish to serve it into.
Our water was not refilled.
Wow! The Copper Hen really is a little gem of a place with great food, good service, a funky decor and a lively vibe. We really enjoyed our apps and beverages! Glad we ran into the host who clarified the parking arrangement with the Asian Market across the street; it saved my husband from the driving around and around as this area has lots of venues and on-street parking was jam-packed.
I loved where it is and the drinks. The app we ordered was a little dry, but otherwise the food was great. I also would not recommend ordering the cupcakes at the end of the day as they were very dried out from sitting out all day.
Great cocktails. I had the chicken pot pie — can’t remember having a better one. Ambiance was beautiful, service great.
Great farm to table place. It gets pretty loud, but food is really good. Met a friend who was in town and brought my whole family...husband had the burger, 12yr old son soft pretzels and pizza, 3yr old son Mac n cheese, I had the glazed chicken and my friend had the lobster Mac n cheese. Everyone was happy with their food. Got a few cupcakes to go for the boys, and they enjoyed those as well. We will go again!
Great Mother’s Day brunch in a fun environment with very good service.
I wouldn’t recommend brunch on Mother’s Day, but I would recommend otherwise.
It was my first Mother’s Day and Copper Hen was very kind to us and accommodating. We had the buffet so we didn’t get to try the regular menu, but it was a very relaxed setting that I fully enjoyed with my sweet baby and husband. The ambiance is great and the service was exceptional. The servers were pulling such long hours and we really appreciated their attentiveness and they never showed just how exhausted they were. Can’t wait to try their regular menu. It looks amazing.
We had our annual Family Mother’s Day brunch here and were underwhelmed! We made reservation online and were excited to see all of the interesting choices on the menu..... when we arrived to find a line of people and several containers lined up on the counter for a buffet or excitement quickly disappeared... On Mother’s Day the last thing you want to do is serve yourself or eat out of a trough. All that being said the food that was presented was tasty.... might try again when the full breakfast menu is being served.
Very good food! We had Mother’s Day brunch and enjoyed it! Tables are swished together but wasn’t to bad to deal with. Cute place to enjoy!
Mother's day brunch was good, but not awesome. The variety of food was on the light side. And at the price $27, I didn't feel there was something really special on the buffet that was worth dying for.
For Mother’s Day, we had higher expectations for the quality of food. We left underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. For the price, we hoped for more.
We've been to The Copper Hen about a half dozen times. It's always a great meal, especially the brunch. The people who work there are energetic and customer-focused. Nice to see they've expanded their footprint so more people can enjoy the restaurant. If I had one suggestion for TCH, it's try to find some way to knock down the ambient noise so a group can have a conversation while enjoying the meal. Cheers!
Bottomless mimosas and boozy cupcakes...you can't go wrong. Add on bread pudding french toast, a great waitress, and cutesy decor, and I'll definitely be coming back. Only downside was the noise, but not enough to keep me away.
Great atmosphere and food! Our group absolutely loved this place for brunch!
The food was great, we ordered the plate with the crabcakes and it was delicious, definitely recommend
Visited Copper Hen during weekend brunch and it was fabulous! Everyone in the party of 4 enjoyed their meal - especially the red velvet cupcake for the birthday boy. The restaurant and server were great with accommodating for food allergies and the order came out perfect. I ordered the Gobbler Burger and would highly recommend it!
What a great brunch location! Fantastic menu and a 10/10 for ambiance. Highly recommend the Woke Up Crabby Toast.
Friendly and knowledgeable server. The meal was fresh and delicious! Definitely would recommend The Copper Hen!
Great brunch, service was friendly and fast, food terrific, good value. Not a huge menu. Tight quarters and very noisy. But I’ll certainly go back and would recommend as long as you know it’s not the place for quiet romantic brunch!
We had reservations for Sunday brunch and got a perfect table right by the window. Our server, Elizabeth, was fantastic and above and beyond kind to our kids. The food was outstanding (bread pudding french toast, omelette, farmers breakfast, and a buttermilk pancake. The coffee was amazing and we got cupcakes as well that rival any local cupcake shop. We will absolutely be back!
I encourage people to make a reservation but the food is always amazing!
Always make a reservation because it gets crowded quick! The food is amazing. I ordered the Farmers Brunch and it was delicious. The French toast is to die for.
The food was good but not excellent. The prices seemed pretty steep for the size of the entrees in comparison to a number of places we have tried.
At Saturday brunch, it was very loud -- hard to hear the person across the table. And I believe this is their prime time as it appeared they had put in many more tables than when we had eaten dinner there previously. The food was good; however, warm at best. I think we'll stick to dinner.
Love the place for meals but Easter was a little disappointing. Very crowded and pricey for the selection offered
Great choice for Easter brunch
This was our second year having Easter brunch at The Copper Hen. We chose it again because the food is wonderful and unique and because one member, of our group of 8, has celiac disease and is dairy intolerant. In 2018 the servers were fantastic and the chefs made her a salad, like the one being served but without cheese, gluten free toast, and were so helpful making sure everything she ate wasn't prepared with butter.
This year, 2019, the server said there were no special requests allowed. I had even spoken to the manager on duty on Easter, before our brunch, the week before in person. She assured me they would substitute for her. Told this to our server and she still said no. Fortunately, the chef came out and spoke to our friend with the allergies and told her what was safe for her to eat.
I would rate this visit higher because I feel that in general they do try to be accommodating. We were just very unhappy with our server and that the manager did not follow through for us.
The duck hash was very dry, which was really disappointing. We also had a table that was basically in a walkway, which was frustrating. I could understand a table there on a quiet weekday, but for easter, they should really take it out, or at least not seat it.
Easter brunch was very plain - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and rolls. Nothing seems fresh out of the oven - cold eggs, dry carmel rolls, thank goodness for the cinnamon butter which was amazing.
Everything for their Easter brunch was delicious!! Especially loved them Duck Hash and Breakfast Salad. The place was quiet at they start, and got a bit noisy. But it was a happy noisy. People were enjoying themselves, and talking with loved ones. :)
Copper Hen is always great and a fresh, well-executed take on brunchy comfort food.
