The Copper Hen
Group of 8. Excellent food, service, and experience.
Absolutely love this restaurant. I have been here for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In my book, if I don't know where to go eat Copper Hen always gets a vote. Food is always outstanding. There havent been a thing that I didn't like. Everything is fresh and comes out hot. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. Service has always been great. The only thing that I don't like much, is that if I don't have a reservation waiting time can be up to an hour in a half. It's a good thing regarding business, but in the cold of Minnesota winter, it could be hard.
Wonderful atmosphere! Close seating so really noisy when full house. The food was great, but on a Sunday at noon, took a long time to get to us. Not a problem since we had a lot to talk about, but go prepared for that. Food was great, but fries were cold and a bit dry. Server was swamped, but still remained very friendly; just didn't see a lot of her. Best rose white tea!
I would definitely go again though. Probably so much better during times of less crowds.
Very accommodating with changes. Food was good and service good
Been for Brunch several times. Brunch is always great. Tried Dinner a few times now and have been very disappointed. Food is bland, under seasoned, unimaginative and overpriced.
Excellent food and ambiance. Creative and fun food and drink choices. Wonderful casual atmosphere.
We had a table of six family members who haven’t been together in a while they were patient with us and all the chatter, the waiter was knowledgeable and made some great recommendations we all had a fantastic time we’ll definitely be back.
It was definitely packed. Greeted us and brought us to our table, since we had a reservation. Waiter was very kind however they didn’t have water cups to start (no big deal, they were busy). Drinks were ordered immediately but came at different times (beer, coffee... forgot one of the double espressos ordered). The food selection was wonderful but by the time we got our food certain parts of the dish were a little cold versus some other warmer dishes. There were some orders that we made after the main order that were forgotten but the waiter was quick to correct that. Waiter did apologize after the meal which is always great... however the cold potatoes were a little bit of a turn off for an otherwise good meal.
Water was coming from the ceiling and dripping onto our table & my friend sitting across from me.
Amazing food staff and service. Highly recommend !!
Terrific food and excellent service. My wife & I will be back. Thanks guys!
Atmosphere was great, food was good, but the restaurant is quite noisy. There are a lot of tables packed in a small space and not a whole lot of room for sound to quiet down. However, would definitely go again.
The Brussel Caesar salad was so different and yummy, and our steaks were amazing. The service was excellent and we had a very pleasant time! Thanks!
I have dined there numerous times with success. This night was very bad. The restaurant was not crowded, food took over an hour after I had to get up and ask about our meals, my salad had a chicken bone in it. One guest was told when the rest of the food was delivered that they did not have the ingredients to make her meal. She had to eat off our plates....not a good night!
We were in Minneapolis for a conference and found The Copper Hen on Open Table. Food was AMAZING and our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the new menu that had only launched the day before. I highly recommend The Copper Hen!
We will be returning. Menu options are great. The appetizers look delicious. Suggestion—server should refill coffee or at least ask customer if she would like a refill.
The food was excellent. The servers were here nice. It was busy but not slammed, our server, while nice, really had no sense of urgency in getting drinks and refills.
Food was great, service was great - will certainly be back!
Great brunch! Excellent food, service, and ambience.
Very friendly and courteous staff. Lively atmosphere, seated right away even though we were late for our reservation. Menu had a good selection of items and the beer/wine list also has a good variety of choices. Food was delicious and beautifully served. Would definitely recommend if you like unique cuisine!
The decor is absolutely lovely. I was there for sat brunch and was surprised it was easy to get in. I love that they took reservations through OpenTable.
I had the Farmers Brunch- the scrambled eggs were nicely done but needed seasoning, the bacon was awesome, the bread pudding French toast was perfectly sized and tasted great, the root vegetable hash was slightly disappointing (I think if they were crisped up a bit it would have been much better).
Overall, it was a good brunch. The ambience is casual yet beautiful. Our server was very friendly and food was definitely worth coming back for.
We love Copper Hen but tonight had to be the best experience we’ve had. Our waitress was phenomenal. Some of the best service we’ve had at any restaurant. Elizabeth (I hope that’s her name) absolutely blew us away.
Third time at copper hen, they have wonderful food, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend.
Food was great and so was our waitress..... the place gets very very noisy!!!
Brunch with the family. Excellent as usual! Service and food is great with many options
Consistently good food! I love taking friends there!
It was very good! Our server was quite nice however very busy so it took a while to get things going or for us to leave. The food was delicious! And lots of fun menu items!
Good food, but came to our table lukewarm. Restaurant had a nice style to it, but was loud and chaotic with how busy it was. Tables are close together and arranged like cafeteria style. Parking is also another issue, street parking is very busy. Good coffee and pastries.
Great as always.
Can’t go wrong with any of the brunch items.
Other than service being slow, we had a wonderful evening
Loved the atmosphere. The most amazing food item we had was the lobster truffle fries--a must try! My husband loved the gobbler burger and I had the tomato soup which was delicious!
Very inattentive server. Absent nearly the entire 90mins we were there even though it was quite slow. Really unfortunate for a Saturday night out. Food tasted great, was just missing the basic feeling of being valued guests. Oh well.
We have had brunch at Copper Hen a number of times and have loved it - this time something was different our entire party thought the food was bland and did not meet the quality and taste that it had in the past. Time to look for a new brunch spot!
great environment, beautiful atmosphere. food is just fine. would recommend just because of the charming interior, but not for the food.
I was disappointed by my visit for dinner at the Hen. The wine list was limited, and the mid $30 cab I selected was not very good. The chicken pot pie was fair at best. There are many mid-price dining options far better than this. I had heard good things, mostly from brunch customers, but I will not return.
The food was incredible.
The mimosas were really bottomless.
Our server was absolutely outstanding.
Went here with my family for a belated birthday brunch. We were 4 adults and 2 kids. No kids menu, so the kids ordered off the sides menu. Both kids still got what they wanted and were very happy. My 3 year old got a pancake with blueberries and chocolate chips. She devoured the whole thing. My 12 year old got a huge brioche cinnamon roll with a side of bacon (strange, but I was happy she ate breakfast!). I had the cider braised pork hash- includes roasted veg, pulled pork, breakfast potatoes and an egg on top. It was flavorful, filling and heavenly! My parents got the farmer’s brunch which includes eggs, roasted veg, breakfast potatoes and brioche French toast. The brioche French toast is an absolute must try wen you come here! My birthday treat was a champagne cupcake which was hands down the best cupcake I have ever had. Sweet, but not too sweet. Smooth cake and a slight crunch from the edible pearls and glitter on top.
In all we loved our brunch here and are already planning on returning for dinner sometime soon.
Server took forever anytime we asked for something. Noted that it was a bday meal and no mention of it was made.
I really liked my experience this past weekend. Food was wonderful!! Very lively atmosphere, my drink however I was not that impressed with, to me it tasted only like lemonade with no liquor in it, so that I was not impressed with, however, willing to go back as I loved the food.
