The Cooperage is comfortable for families dining with children and features a large bar area with flat screen TV's, 12 beers on tap, eight wine selections on tap, and award winning cocktail list.
Food was good, service not so much. Asked repeatedly for items that never arrived including coffee at end of lunch which took 20 minutes. Couldn’t even give us the right check to sign after running our card. Nice place but service needs a overhaul.
Cooperage is a fine spot for a weeknight meal, convenient and convivial. The menu is okay, although more seafood items would be appreciated. My filet was a bit on the thin side, not quite as thick as I expected. My son really enjoyed his New York Steak.
Service was sporadic, we had to ask for bread service., but otherwise acceptable. Overall, a good neighborhood spot.
It's getting great again! New food items, super great service and back to it's top spot!
Great, location with a beautiful outdoor seating area. We had Easter Brunch and everything was delicious. Our service was also wonderful.
This is a great deal for big appetites. The portions are huge. The taste...meh.
Service was really bad...waiter came back 20 minutes after we ordered to inform us she forgot what we ordered...really?????got appetizer with main course...meat was tough..food was pricey and not worth it....will not go back
Great service. Appetizer delicious spicy almonds, olives and hummus. Wedge salad huge....could feed 3 and artfully presented with wonderful grilled shrimp. Hamburger huge and delicious.
We had been at the Cooperage before and liked the food. This time we ordered from the Brunch menu and it was not very good which means that we are not planning to go back. For the cost it could have been presented a little nicer. However, the service was polite and friendly.
I made a reservation at 1PM , arrived early and the hostess seated me right away outside which I requested perfect weather, nice ambiance we had lovely lunch with good good server Anastasia is very attentive in our needs, plenty of metered parking nearby, if you will in Lafayette area stop by in checked it out one of best gem in the neighborhood.
The menu is very inviting and the food is great, but on this visit the service was atrocious. Our waiter greeted us as soon as we sat down and took our drink orders. My OJ arrived soon after fresh and cold the way I like it. However it seemed to take about 10 minutes before my wife received her coffee. At about the same time a party of four was seated at an adjacent table. They received water and their waiter took their food order before our waiter returned to take ours. Indeed it was about 20 minute before our food order was taken. I noted on the menu that a side of bacon was $4 but if you added bacon to the egg dish my wife wanted it was $3. Since my wife and I wanted to share bacon I asked if the amount of bacon differed between the two options and was told they were the same – four pieces of bacon. So my wife added bacon to her egg dish. When it arrived it had only two slices of bacon. When we pointed out we were told we would receive four slices we eventually received three more slices and were not charged. We asked for water, but never received any. Finally after our table was cleared my wife went to the bathroom and a woman who appeared to be a manager came over if we needed anything else. I informed I was still waiting for our check. The party of four I mentioned earlier had eaten their meal and paid their bill before we received our check.
Wonderful as always, but the drinks from the bar do take a long time to arrive.
First time there. Very noisy bar area but hostess found us a quiet corner. Food was average and not commensurate with price to our way of thinking. Service was good.
The sea bass was very good, but I was disappointed the rotisserie chicken was no longer on the menu.
Great Prime Rib .... being seated in the bar area it was too loud. Our waitress had a cute friendly manner and gave us great service. Overall definitely 4 out of 5
The waiter and overall service was great. The decor, noise level and vibe inside was good too. Unfortunately the food was not great. Our family ordered the sea bass (not much flavor), the cheeseburger (it was overcooked), the bolognese pasta (no flavor) and I ordered the fried chicken sliders (tasted very average-similar to Panda Express). Our bill was very, very pricey for what we ordered. For those prices, we wanted to love it.
Just okay food. Pork Ribs were dry, Brussels sprouts are good, steaks are on the expensive side. Just okay .....
Really enjoyed our night at the Cooperage. Food was great, service excellent and cocktails ... outstanding.
It is the 4th time I have been to Cooperage and it never fails to live up to my high expectations. Great food, fun atmosphere, nice wait staff. Cooperage remains high on my list of top local restaurants.
Overall good food but service took forever 🙁
Quasi sports bar so we were able to watch the Warriors loose. However, we enjoyed our dinner and Maya our server was excellent and out preformed. The only change I would like to see is the sides served with our main arrived barely warm. I realize that in some restaurants, sides are served up on plates waiting for their entire main but I want all my food to be on the very warm to hot side when served and not barely warm to cool. We will go back but ask that all our food be served very warm to hot.
Food is good, ambiance is great, and drinks are nice. Service, he. Pack your patience.
Tried Cooperage for Brunch. We have eaten there many times for Lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner. Brunch was not my favorite but that’s personal taste. The omelet was uninspired and the potatoes had a slightly spicy tomatoe based sauce on them. 10 minutes after delivering my omelet they announced that they were out of the pork sausage that I had ordered. My wife’s chicken sausage had arrived within a few minutes of her omelet. Why did it take 20 minutes from order for them to realize they were out of pork sausage?
The menu is less enchanting, and more expensive, than our last visit.
The north dining room, away from the bar, is pleasantly quiet for those over 50 to converse. Negroni on tap is inspired, and well done.
The Cooperage worked out great for a financial business meeting. The booth was quiet enough during lunch to communicate well. Everyone liked their meal, too ;)
For very casual dining. Food is good, not great, but good. Portions are ample to generous. Service is usually good, as it was this time. Good place for family dining. Noise level was elevated, but not loud. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.
Wait staff was superb! Very patient, accommodating, and we never lacked for anything. Kudos!
Fun spot to go ..Unfortunately this time brunch potatoes were cold and did not get coffee refilled. It was extremely busy and everyone was trying hard !!
My family visits the Cooperage somewhat regularly, however this time I was very disappointed. I asked friends from out of town to the Cooperage for their first visit for my birthday. Unfortunately for us we were not aware the St. Mary's college men's basketball team won their game. The entire team dined at the restaurant that evening and clearly by the service the rest of the restaurant received, the team in the back room was being catered to, while the remainder of the restaurant waited and waited and waited and waited for service, drinks and food. Other tables were complaining because the service was really poor this night. It might have gone over better if the servers were honest with the rest of the restaurant, telling them the team is taking priority at this time and your service may be slower than normal because the kitchen is handling their orders first. That would have been an honest business practice and consideration for your customers. But no such announcement was made, the customers including my party of 6 suffered and it was not fair. I am very very disappointed and will think twice about bringing friends again.
Our group of 8 were seated in a separate side area, which was excellent, because we could easily hear each other.
Enjoyed a sunny day lunch outside at the Cooperage. Food and service were great. Noise level was
far less than on the inside.
Good venue for business lunches. Good wait staff, food and metered street parking.
Good overall dining experience for Monday evening.
My grand daughter and I enjoyed a great lunch this week. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I have experienced inconsistency at Cooperage in the past and lately I think the restaurant has improved.
Went for brunch. Was seated right away with our reservation. The brunch was very nice and the service above average. The place is very casual and a bit noisy. It has a nice bar and a nice patio. My waffle was very good; my companion raved about her salmon Benedict. Would definitely return.
No points,no review.
Love their brunch on the weekend. Great menu!
It was a nice meal and not too pricy. Beautiful restaurant and very nice staff.
Thank you to the staff for sitting us in the back dining room where it was quiet. The front of the house was very noisy when we arrived. We had a lovely meal and the food was absolutely delicious.
Great food & service!!
