   We've been to the Cookery a few times before, but this time the service was not great. Granted it was a Holiday weekend, the restaurant seemed more relaxed than usual for a Saturday night. We knew we wanted an appetizer but we're still contemplating our main. The server said she had to put the order in all at once and we couldn't start with an appetizer earlier. Seemed strange. After that it went down hill, she never came over to see how everything was, and dropped the check quickly after we finished. She also came back to pick up the signed copy so fast we didn't even finish our drink and decided to leave. I've never not left a restaurant and my signed copy and tip not be on the table.

   Not much sound insulation so voices are loud. Add to that, loud music and for our older ears it became unpleasant. Too bad since the music selections were otherwise great and the food and service terrific.

   Brunch was Amazing! Best in class innovative and delicious! Every plate that came out was better than the next ! We will definitely go back, looking forward to the suckling roasted pig at some point!

   The food was delicious. Ordered and shared a bit of everything. Service was terrific. We happily sat outside. Restaurant is super loud and festive. Highly recommend. Definitely order the stick of butter pie.

   The Cookery never disappoints! We hadn’t been in over a year and finally got back last night. Soooo good. Heather, our server, was delightful and knowledgeable…all of her recommendations were spot on, including the wine and daily pasta special. The food was, as always, innovative and delicious!!     our service was absolutely terrible. The waiter said to us, "Don't you want to order and appetizer as it is going to take a long time to get your entrees. We were not that hungry, the entrees came within a reasonable amount of time, and the food was as usual outstanding. I would recommend getting rid of that waiter, as you have a Manhattan class restaurant without him.

    Food is creative and delicious. Always a treat to come here. The liver cannolis were amazing. We witnessed a table getting the roasted pig. So festive, and it looked delicious. Will definitely come again.

    I had heard of The Cookery through friends recommending it to me. So five friends and I went there, and we were happily impressed. Our server Oliver was excellent, amiable, but not intrusive. The appetizer we shared was small but just enough to whet our appetites, and the cocktails were excellent. Then to the meal. Three of us had the spaghetti and meatballs. Wow, it was delicious. The others had a sandwich, the chicken entree, and a pasta and sausage dish. All were wonderful. Finally, Oliver must have overheard that it was my birthday, and another person's retirement, so he brought over my olive oil orange cake with a candle!! Lovely. It was all so much fun. I recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. I can't wait to go there again. :-)

    Music was too loud to have dinner conversation. Order the Branzino, it was charred, and small. The 2 fancy sauces had no flavor added, and it was such a small portion I was taking food off my daughters plate, the menu prices are not reflected on the website correctly. I paid $34 dollars instead of $27 listed on site. Octopus was $20 instead of $14, buttery potatoes were $12 instead of $9 listed. The potatoes were over cooked and the sauce had no personality. My husband ordered stickabutta pie, listed as $8 on line but was $12. I selected the restaurant for price and menu, left feeling robbed and hungry. Hostess was lovely, waitress was at the end of her shift, and distracted. Most likely wouldn't venture back....I like a big dinner!

    Service was great but couldn’t really hear what my date was saying because people were speaking so loudly. Left the restaurant with a headache. This was unnecessary as there were 2 groups that were making all the noise. Food was ok but I’ve had better in the past.

    This place truly defines "neighborhood gem". Located within view of the Hudson River, this comfortable place is welcoming to all who enter. Their food is outrageous. I was there for a Saturday brunch with two other people. Oliver was our waiter and could not have been nicer. They had a prix fixe menu that offered included a cocktail, very generous appetizer and an enormous entree. I was then shocked to see dessert was included, as well. There was so much food I had to take some home. Definitely try the meatball appetizer! Even if you are one of those people who swears they will never eat a meatball out, this is the one to try.. it does not disappoint. I will be back, and I live 40 miles away!

    This restaurant has an excellent kitchen. BUT its noise level was loud that , in our opinion, it detracted from the high quality food. If you like very loud music and shouting patrons, then this is a good place for you.
