Very nice service. Our Sunday brunch was delicious. We had the omelets. Beautiful view of Sugarloaf Mountain. We were able to converse comfortably - no background music. Great escape from urban area.

As always, food and service were excellent. In addition, we were favored with a brilliant Fall afternoon, so the view was magnificent.

Great place for dinner. The food and presentation were excellent. The trout and the salmon were perfect. If you like crab, you will love the crab hush puppies for an appetizer. Wonderful wine and mixed drink menu.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is like an old inn in the country. The owner and the staff are very accommodating and make you feel especially welcome to be joining them. The food can match any of the best restaurants without having the cold expense account feel.

I very much recommend the Comus Inn. You will not be disappointed.

The Comus Inn is a beautiful restaurant very close to Sugarloaf Mountain. Not much else is nearby. I recommend going after a hike on the mountain and/or after visiting the Sugarloaf Mountain Winery. Then that makes the drive really worth it!

The Comus Inn is quite expensive, so I recommend going only as a special occasion. And make sure to bring a change of clothes if you do plan to go after a hike! It's very fancy, so you want to dress appropriately.

We ALWAYS have a wonderful dining experience at Comus Inn! From the moment we are greeted at reception by Jesse and the manager, to being shown to our table, the staff is extremely attentive. We love coming here to celebrate special occasions as the experience never disappoints.
The menu offers familiar favorites as well as unique and delicious selections. The only recommendation would be to offer more selections for those with dietary restrictions.
Our server was knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions.
The only negative, and it is a small one, would be to make reservations during the week when a wedding is more unlikely. The tent obscures the view, and the parking can be difficult as a result.

The Comus Inn is a wonderful place. HOWEVER THE PORTION SIZE IS MUCH TOO LARGE! I had the Muffuletta Sandwich and I could not open my mouth wide enough to eat it--and I am a large person! I had to resort to a knife and fork and only ate 50% of it. My friend had the Fried Green Tomato BLT. She was able to handle 1/2 of it with a knife and fork and brought the other half home.

I recognize that some Restaurants try to make up for a lack of quality by serving big portions. The Comus Inn doesn't have to do that.

Our waitress was very cheerful and offered to box up my parent's leftovers.
When we first arrived the air conditioning vent was making it very chilly by my chair. The hostess brought over some extra menus to cover the vent to make my seat much more comfortable. First class service and food was wonderful and presentation was lovely. Kind of pricey for everyday dinners but great date night or special occasions.

No view! Large wedding tent blocked the view! Service was slow but Sunday brunch was not very busy. Took 5-7 minutes just to be acknowledged, then we only got water. I would of liked to put my cocktail order in. Our appetizer came later after we were already eating our entree. Will not return. Very disappointed! They only seem to care about weddings, not individual customers.

We love dining at the Comus Inn. The portions are large; we split a soup, an entree and a side. The entire bill, which included one non-alcoholic drink, came to $58 after tax. The view of Sugarloaf Mountain, the outstanding service and scrumptuous menu make this locale worth the drive.

Host was great. The food was great as always! There was a wedding that caused a bit of a parking nightmare and a slower dining experience. However, it made good conversation time.

We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. We went with some friends that this was their first experience. They ended the evening saying The Comus Inn is there new favorite restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is great. It's an all around great place to eat.

Romantic atmosphere with nice attentive service and tasty dishes Vegan options non existent unless you want a plain salad. Only one vegetarian option with lots of dairy and carbs.
But the food was nonetheless delicious and it was a relaxing and romantic experience.

Disappointing! Place is expensive and not worth the money. Location is in the country with a view of Sugarloaf but the view is mainly obstructed because a large wedding tent is directly in front of the windows, so for the most part you see tent roofing. Host is rude, we asked to be reseated to a different table but the host refused even though the restaurant was at best a third full. The table provided was in a high traffic area and the table was jammed against the wall, so we were uncomfortable before the meal even began. We were told that our waitress was too busy to attend to us initially, and so a different person came to take the drink order. The person was unfamiliar with their cocktail selection and when asked what one of the drinks contained she provided us with a wrinkled piece of paper from the bar for us to read. It took 15 minutes to get the drinks. Waitress eventually came but never introduced herself and did not bother making us aware of any of the specials. Appetizers were good, however the entrée (Bistro steak) had a strange taste (and not in a good way), when asked what kind of a cut it was we were told that it was local meat and perhaps we were just unfamiliar with what local beef tasted like. When ordering a $38 dollar steak I expect it to taste like a steak.

We went for dinner with sunset over Sugarloaf Mt. Don't bother to go for a view. They have a party tent over the patio blocking the view. We were told the tent is up most of the fall for weddings.

I had read that there were great views but alas, there was a large event tent up and that is all we could see from our table. That was disappointing. The food was good but I think our server had 1 table more than she could handle efficiently. Not sure if any of this is the norm.

Truly wish they would remove the wedding tent from blocking the window, I understand why it's there, but there has to be a better place.

Jessie, our host was spectacular and very gracious.

Katelyn our server was very sweet and assisted with food recommendations. Get the fried tomato appetizer... just do it.

Food was pretty good. Service was fair to good. Very disappointed that the view of sugarloaf mountain was obstructed by a wedding event tent. Had we known, we'd have chosen a different night as the view was a key reasywe went. Thank heavens for the Groupon which kept us from spending too much on the evening. Very loud party seated next to us.

A very scenic shot of the Comus In was posted on Facebook by a high school classmate. I thought it was peacefully romantic and wanted to do something different for my 29th anniversary. Mr. Jesse Goode and our server, Ashley, were all the rave and made our weekend that much more pleasant.

We have been here before, but this time we came early to enjoy the view from outdoor patio/bar, but unfortunately it was occupied by a wedding.
Service was slow ...I think they were short on staff (maybe because of wedding), and therefore we waited quite awhile for our main course. And when we finally did receive it, mine was 'not' hot, but warm. This is what irks me the most with meals....I expect a 'hot' plate with 'hot' food and not a meal that may have been sitting on the ledge for awhile. The waitress & manager offered to take it back, but by that time (waiting) I was ready to eat and leave, especially since my husband didn't seem to have an issue with his.
I will go back here at some point, but would confirm that there is no wedding going on and have use of a cocktail on the patio.

I wanted to do something different alone. So, I chose the Comus Inn. It seemed like a nice place to go on a date, brunch with the family or eating alone. The concierge was very friendly and welcoming. The food wasn't expensive as I first thought it would be and it was delicious as well. I enjoyed my dining experience and will visit again.

The food was average, but the service was extremely slow. I would recommend not going hungry as we waited for over 45 minutes for our lunch to be served and there was only 3 other couples in the back porch area. For over 1/2 hour we never saw our waitress.
We had our wedding reception at the Comus Inn 23 years ago on a beautiful October day with Sugarloaf Mountain all ablaze with color and the sky a deep blue. It was beautiful from the Comus Inn. What we saw from the back porch this time was nothing like a beautiful view of Sugarloaf Mtn. It was the top of a very white tent that covered the whole skyline from view. The extreme whiteness of the tent top was very reflective and hard on the eyes. Sitting on the back porch was like looking into a snowstorm or blizzard - nothing but white. Not enjoyable at all.
