Always great service, food, and atmosphere. And a perfect meeting spot for families split between DC and Frederick, MD.
This is a very nice restaurant in a lovely country setting with a gorgeous view of the hills and Sugarloaf Mountain. Our server, Kaitlin, was attentive and did a wonderful job, letting us enjoy our drinks and appetizers before ordering our entrees. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinners and deserts. We look forward to returning again soon.
We had a delightful birthday celebration at The Comus Inn. The dining room was pleasant, and will be even more so when it stays light later and you can see Sugarloaf Mountain. The food was excellent. Between us we had the Charcuterie board, Duroc Pork w/ bacon, Salmon with blackened Brussels sprouts, a blondie with ice cream and caramel sauce, and strawberry shortcake. There was not one dish we wouldn't have again. Our server, Theo, went out of his way to be helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend The Comus Inn to our friends, and I am already looking forward to our next visit.
Great place to dine. Food and service are outstanding. The room is comfortable and charming. A great place to unwind after a hard days work. I highly recommend this place!! They deserve 5 Stars!!!!
Great find. We will return!
Comus Inn never fails to please! The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is varied and creative, resulting in delicious food artfully presented. And the view toward Sugarloaf Mountain is spectacular! I love dining at Comus Inn! (And I live across the Potomac River in Virginia.)
This place was great the minute we walked inside. The gentlemen at the front desk was very welcoming and us feel right at home. The restaurant was very quiet and the lighting was perfect. All the food from the apps to the main dish and desert was top notch; best food I’ve had eating out in a very long time. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to have a nice place to eat with their significant other.
Hey loud family next to our table interrupted most of our dining experience. It was a special occasion for my wife and I and we were sorely disappointed. The staff seated all the customers together and if spaced out would’ve made for a more enjoyable experience.
Food was wonderful as usual. Our waiter left something to be desired.
Awesome service and very good food. We are heading back to try other menu items
Asked for nice table, got view to the wall. Service with zero engagement. Food was ok. All this for $200 for 2 of us. Not worth the drive from DC...
Valentine Dinner with a select menu. Three courses and take home truffles. My husband had pot roast and I had the scallops along with an amazing salad and chocolate sorbet. Amazing food, great service, and relaxing, quiet ambience.
We have been dining at the Comus Inn every Valentines’ Day for the last several years and have always had a great experience.
I liked the food, the location. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. However, food delivery was slow. Was it only because it was a busy Valentines evening?
We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service top notch, and the ambience was great. It was also so relaxing looking at Sugarloaf Mountain while dining. Best brunch experience I have had!
Brunch is delicious and from a menu, not a buffet. Very reasonable and great ambiance!
Huge portions of amazing food - and a spectacular view!
This is so close to us and the atmosphere, service and food are so good that I would be tempted to eat here more then once every couple of weeks if the prices were not quite so high.
Simply wonderful. We are repeat guests - and the Comus Inn will continue to keep us coming back!
Wonderful historic country inn with outstanding food and gracious staff
We had an amazing time. We celebrated my sister's birthday and had a group of 6 people. Service was great, food was amazing, and the ambience was perfect.
Always an excellent experience by serving professionals!
Everything about our dining was wonderful - food, service, atmosphere! Menu has a great selection. Great place to celebrate special occasions
Great farm environment give peaceful mind. Service and Food is good for me.
Food and service was fantastic. Quiet ambiance and friendly host and waitress. Can’t recommend this place enough!
fantastic view, best brunch around, come with your family and enjoy this wonderful spot!
This place is always pleasant, the view is lovely and the staff friendly, the menu is creative.
Very nice pre Christmas dinner!
Wonderful setting in a beautiful historic inn. We had a wonderful brunch. Highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday dinner for our small office. The entire staff is warm and friendly and makes you feel special. The holiday decorations added to the warmth. The food was excellent, from the lobster bisque, salads, filet mignon and fish dishes. Vanilla creme brulee was quite satisfying. Cocktails and coffee rounded out our excellent meal. We will be back.
We love the Comus Inn. Something about the place just seems right. From when you arrive and Jessie greets you, to the time you leave everyone makes you feel special. A few miss steps on the food (lukeware coffee that was corrected), maybe due to the number of patrons and a large party downstairs.
A little disappointed, though it was our first meal there and sometimes you can't tell from just one. Especially since we went there to celebrate a birthday, perhaps our expectations were too high (and the restaurant did not acknowledge the note we made in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration). The food was OK to good; the service a little slow; the host was great fun. We might try again and maybe our lowered expectations will make us appreciate it more.
Excellent food and great service as usual
We were returning customers. We really enjoyed the meal. We were celebrating an Anniversary.
We chose this place, because of the atmosphere, service, and the food.
Special occasions, romantic, fancy, white cloth, amazing food!
The food was great and the service was what you would expect for a quality restaurant. The manager made his rounds throughout the night as also expected. What puts this restaurant on the next level is the host. From the second we walked in, he was attentive, informative, charming and knowledgeable. The guests in my party could not stop commenting on how any restaurant would be lucky to have such an asset!
Love this place! The dates are awesome and the filet and NY Strip were cooked to perfection 😊
Great anniversary lunch. Just beautiful!
As always, the food and service were perfect!!! We will definitely be back.
I was treating a friend to a nice lunch to lift her spirits, and the Comus Inn is a favorite, so we happily went there. However, this time we were both disappointed. My flatbread was slightly warm, so I sent it back for more heat. It came back warmer, but somewhat soggy (it was supposed to be a peach flatbread, but there were no peaches, so they substituted mushrooms). The other mishap came with the tea and coffee. The tea was served, but the coffee didn’t come. As the waiter explained: he had made a pot of coffee, but the kitchen folks drank it! My friend cancelled her order, since I had already finished my tea. All in all, it was a mediocre dining experience in a beautiful restaurant.
