Overall good food and tasty but was disappointed that on New Year's day they had run out of beers and even when we ordered a festive cocktail we were told that they did not have a particular ingredient so that was a no! Went there to celebrate Diamond Anniversary for parents and lack of drinks put a slight dampness on things. Waiters and waitresses were very polite and helpful.

Food could have been warmer, cold plates, belly of pork portion very small, and no crackling! Yet menu said with crackling, leeks not trimmed properly coarse & outer leaves on plate. Service a little slow, no atmosphere.

We booked for 2.15 but did not get to our table for over 45mins! Hi Guys was the repeated greeting for one Lady 50+ , another 60+ and myself at 65. One lady was ignored when ordering a drink. VERY DISAPPOINTING, WE WILL NOT RETURN.

Although the belly of pork was a bit dry to our taste, the fish and the meat platter was good. This is a good place to catch up with friends over lunch, and there were excellent direction signs from the A 120.

We have been many times and never disappointed. Food... a good varied menu. Service is excellent. Although busy does not feel crowded and not feel that you are overlooked by other tables. Good for families.

Lovely meal in a lovely setting served by very attentive and friendly staff - what more could you ask. As an added bonus its dog friendly outside and in the bar area.

We requested a specific Table outside on arrival , as such a lovely day , & was accommodated immediately Unfortunately before the Food arrived , we were " wasped " out & again no fuss , they managed to organise a Table for us inside The Food that followed was excellent Would definitely recommend

Head chef was on hols which was a shame. A long dinner which was well over two hours. Got a bit fed up with staring at the drinks we had ordered that stayed on the bar for ten minutes before they were eventually delivered. We had the table next to the bar and it felt a little weird being watched whilst we ate by the bar staff. Food looked good but was mediocre at best. My son got kicked in the mouth on the bouncy castle outside by a boisterous lad and the wasps were insufferable. Shame all round.

We had a very disappointing family Sunday lunch here recently. The place was not overly busy but getting the attention of the waitresses to take our order was difficult to say the least and this continued throughout the meal. Our table was booked for 1.30pm and we weren't seated until 2, it was at least 2.30 by the time our order was taken. I ordered Sunday roast (beef) and it was the worst roast I've had in ages. The beef was tough, potatoes dry and vegetables uninspiring and overcooked (carrots and broccoli). I had a roast in a Wetherspoons a week later which was half the price and much better quality. This pub has a lovely feel but the combination of sub-standard food and service means I won't be back.

Very enjoyable meal, good value for money. Service from the young waitresses was excellent. Worth the drive to get there.
