What Insiders Are Saying
The Clocktower in the Edition Hotel is a Flatiron facsimile of a popular restaurant in London. And it works here just as well as it works over there.
The ambiance was perfect. The staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. The food was excellent!! This is definitely a place to go when you are in the area. We will be going back again for sure!!!!
Food was not as expected.
The Clocktower is a lovely venue for a weekend brunch. I can see it getting lively during the evening hours. The service is great, portions are moderate, but the flavors are very hearty. Great place for date, family or special occasion dining. Brunch for two with drinks $100.
The Clocktower has been on my must-do list for quite some time. Not until this evening did I have the opportunity to experience the esteemed restaurant. It was everything I expected from a hotel and restaurant that is fortunate enough to be influenced by Ian Schrager.
Lovely mushroom toast with duck egg.
Went to celebrate a graduation, 2 people dining. Enjoyed the door gras, burrata salad, and Dover Sole for two. Dessert was comped as a celebratory offering for graduation, with champagne. Excelente service, delicious and well prepared food. Definitely recommend for a date night/cerebration.
Delightful. Wonderful food, service and decor!
Great ambient, food was delicious and the service outstanding.
Very nice setting, atmosphere was great, service impeccable, and food awesome. It's a bit pricy but definitively worth.
The service was impeccable and the food divine. (The Roasted Maine Scallops and the Beet Cured Heritage Pork Chop were to die for...and the Black Forest Cake held its own right along side them!)
We were in the area and hoped for more of a Brunch menu rather than just a breakfast menu. Food was good but not remarkable choices were boring
The atmosphere was wonderful and the service impeccable. We had a lovely brunch there and would not change a thing!!!
Patfait appetizer excellent. Filet Mignon not the best piece nor cooked to my temperature properly. Dessert was very good. Waiter did a great job but support iffy. Not where you’d want to be comparatively at the price per head. Beautiful space - if a bit odd and noisy with the nearby pool table.
Lovely and interesting atmosphere with multiple rooms, elegant decor, outstanding photography covers every inch of wall space. Brunch was lovely; not too pricey. I suspect lunch and dinner might break the bank.
Annoyed that I got an avocado toast (vegan here) and they charged me full rice with 2 boiled eggs. Money isn’t the issue is the fact that they charge u something they couldn’t even replace me with other vegetable or fruit
Avocado toast was good, is a acquaint place. Service took to long to make the order.... that said, the oatmeal and avocado toast where good. Good place, come with patience. Heard is a dinner place, check it outX as for breakfast is good but not a most
Food was excellent, sommelier was great, but service was a little bit intrusive and rushed to clean the table even before finishing our meals. Great location and ambiance. Definitely will go back
I took my sister ( and niece) for birthday lunch and it could not have been nicer. Service and setting are wonderful. And food was also very good. They also brought out a special dessert with a candle for my sister’s birthday which was a very nice touch. Also not noisy at lunchtime.
If you want amazing service, great ambiance and interesting new food to experience, go here!
In my initial review, I gave a low rating on the service as I felt let down as an Asian.
Much to my surprise, Clocktower management called and apologized to me. Nick, representing Clocktower Team, assured me that all patrons are welcomed and offered me a certificate to come back to the restaurant. I was deeply impressed and touched by Nick's compassion and kindness. The Clocktower is, indeed, a Michelin star! I have, thus, upgraded my review.
I will definitely go back to the restaurant to savor its delicious culinary creations, and will not use the certificate.
Fantastic atmosphere, service and and food. I highly recommend this place!
The Clocktower is an outstanding restaurant. I will happily go back. So let me get right to the few small comments I have: The restaurant is EXPENSIVE--and because it is expensive the tables need table cloths. The Clocktower should stop worrying about being cook and hip and have the tables provide the elegance that goes with the wimpy outstanding food. Table cloths would help with the echo in the dining room. It is not too loud just too reverberant. The prices are high and so that leads to my next comment: the portions are on the small side. I had Skate Wing, but I portion was only one wing, not the usual full two wings. At $39 this is not good. The wine list is very very expensive, moderate prices are there but not many. The Sommelier is outstanding and really knows his stuff. The service is efficient and the staff are all very sharp and charming. The dining room is dark wood, some flowers would help. I look forward to returning.
A superb restaurant for special occasions.
We went for dinner and ordered about 8 things and then split them all. Everything was wonderful. This place is a true gem
1st time ...awesome experience! I will definitely go back and highly recommend it.
Love this place! Even if the food wasn’t great, I would come for the atmosphere and to enjoy the photography collection. And the purple billiards table. But the food IS great. Look forward to returning soon.
The food quality, presentation and choices were excellent. We chose the 3-course lunch and there are no limitations on what you can order. All was delicious. Could not have been more satisfied, particularly given that I had not heard of the restaurant before someone recommended it to my group.
Always great... Keep going back. Innovative food, but gets the most out of it...
Always exceptional! Great business and ladies who lunch...
Terrific spot for w client dinner. Service was outstanding - sets a high bar. Just a little too expensive but my clients were happy.
Perfect Mother’s Day brunch!
Great ambiance, great food, great service, the only downside option is the wine list, in a place like this they should have more varieties of international wines and not 85% French wine!!!
I always enjoy this place, the ambience is cozy and good food
Food was amazing and service was impeccable. Pricy but worth it. I was pleasantly surprised.
The food was outstanding. The Mac & cheese with ox cheek was delightful. My Dry Aged New York Strip was very tasty. This was my second time in a month and I have to say the service level was outstanding.
I will be back again and again!
I've been three times, but this last one was a late lunch. Service seemed a little confused. They were moving tables around while we ate. It just didn't have a great vibe. Plus my medium rare burger came well done. Just an off day, I suppose. My friend's fish and chips was excellent, however. Our server was very nice.
Dinner on Sunday for lunch. But there was only brunch options available, which meant beef or breakfast foods. Not so great. The service was weak even though it wasn't very packed we had to keep asking for our waiter. For the price we paid, not worth it. Sad because we usually love their dinner options and service!
Food was fantastic! Loved the atmosphere...nice/upscale without feeling stuffy.
There were quite a bit of flies today in the restaurant
Very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Cozy, warm and interesting restaurant in the former MET Insurance building. A lovely experience.
