Thoroughly enjoyed the sushi appetizer, then it went downhill from there. From the time we were seated, it took 90 minutes before the entrees were served. Unfortunately they came out cold, we’re sent back and delivered lukewarm. The manager and wait staff blamed it on a busy night and made multiple excuses. We were looking forward to a wonderful dinner like the ones we’ve had there in the past. Not so much. We won’t be back.
We were here in July to celebrate my wife's birthday and left blown away by how amazing of a meal we had. This time was average. My wife ordered a prime rib to be prepared medium rare, but it was well over-cooked and probably closer to medium-well. In July, it was served with mashed potatoes and they offered a wine-sauce that was to die for. The server said they only come with baked potato now, even though there were other dishes that offered mashed potato as sides. Comparing the two experiences, it's hard to gauge which is the more likely. I would recommend based off of the July experience, but probably not for the December experience.
The staff members at The Clearwater are very efficient and friendly. Their goal is to satisfy the customer. If you have reservations, you are seated immediately. The wine and food menus offer a nice variety of choices. If requested, the staff will present the birthday cake and sing at your table. Kim and Marta are two of our favorite waitstaff, however, all of the team members are very accommodating.
Daughters birthday! It was great!!!
We eat here all the time. Food is back to being great since they brought there old menu back. Our server Kim was fantastic as usual.
Our meal was yummy, conveniently located and reasonable.
Love the sushi!
We were the last reservation on Thanksgiving. So they were out of Prime Rib ( we ere told this AFTER we placed our order ). Wait staff were clearly very tired after a full day of reservations. We could have had a few more drinks ( we were staying at the hotel) but our server did not keep up with that. Food was good - although the lobster was not hot and the crab cakes were also. Or very warm. I am sure that on a normal day, this would be an excellent choice of a restaurant.
Problem was mainly with the reservations early on. Directions to the actual restaurant, once entering the building, left a lot to be resolved as we stood in wrong line not marked appropriately. This made the system inefficient as it was when the reservations were made. The service was excellent once seated. The beef entry was excellent as was the bread even though we had to ask for it, as they forgotten beyond the soup and salad entry, which would have been nice as a starter. The turkey was tough for the first time in my long decades of eating turkey at the holidays. The portions could have been somewhat larger but a good variety. Salad was not sufficient, nor gravy for the turkey. Vegetables were excellent. Service of the waitress was excellent.
We had a great time for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was delicious (turkey and sirloin, plus mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing). Dessert was decadent (pumpkin cheesecake and ganache cake). Our servers were attentive. We weren’t sure what to expect as this was our first time here but we were very delighted with our experience. Thank you!
Great food and great service. Enjoyed our meal, it was very delicious and enjoyed the restaurant.
Went for brunch. No buffet, just a menu, but reasonable selection of things to eat. I had the seafood omelette and daughter had the Baked French toast. Both good. Wife loved the bottomless mimosa !
Great the location with water view and hit the casino afterwards on a Sunday for $1 blackjack tables!
The Clearwater is a wonderful hotel and casino. But the restaurant food was nearly worthy of POOR. We both ordered steak and my "medium rare" steak was cooked HARD and tough and very very well done. I did not eat it and since it was my wife's BD I did not send it back and then wait. Well she likes her steak medium well. But again he steak was extremely well done and dry.
I should have known better because last time there I ordered medium rare steak and got well done steak. My advice if you want beef is to order the prime rib. That was very good when I ordered it last summer.
BTW the desert was great and our server was fun, attentive and professional.
We were disappointed with our meal this time. We ordered the New York ( new one) and it was very tough. My prime rib was just ok, nothing special, and the whole meal was rather expensive for what we got. The only thing that was really good was the bread! My husband really doesn’t like cutting up his own salad also. We had that at other restaurants also and he says if he’d know he had to cut it he wouldn’t order it. But that’s just him. I don’t mind.
The menu has changed again - for the better. Service at the bar and table service are always top notch.
Service was good, and friendly. Some food good, but the Blue cheese steak salad was expensive and about the size of a small side salad with a couple of tiny pieces of steak for almost $30. Thought it was a mistake. Was a favorite in original Steak house and was always a generous amount and good, this one not even close.
The seafood gnocchi came without gnocchi. The rib eyes were tough and chewy. The baked potatoes were undercooked.
This was our first visit and based on the menu we were expecting the food to be good. My husband and I were disappointed with the meal unfortunately. His Delmonico steak was a poor cut and neither tasty or tender. Both of our meals were lukewarm at most. In my case, the onion soup was just warm and my entree of cod with potatoes and vegetables was not much more than room temperature. We wanted so much to like this restaurant. The setting was nice and the service as friendly. A table near us seemed to be experiencing similar issues so we wonder what was going on in the kitchen that night. We will probably try the restaurant once more and hope for a better outcome. Many good reviews by others so are fingers are crossed that the issues were temporary and have been corrected.
Have always enjoyed the great food, but the food this time, steaks were a little tough
One of the best meals I’ve had in a longtime with a great atmosphere and wonderful server!!!
Very pleasant experience. The wait staff person was pleasant and knowledgeable. We were conveniently served. Not too much, not too little. Our meals were beautifully prepared. The sunset was beautiful.
Food and drinks excellent. Onion soup could have been hotter. Not sure I would go again on a Wednesday with the live performance. It was distracting. The dinner special was loved.
Great experience overall will go back again and recommend to everyone.
We love eating here! Service and food is always amazing!!
They finally brought back there old menu!! Very happy about that. Me and my wife frequent this place, so it was great to see them get back to what made them great in the first place. Kim, our server was awesome as usual. Food was excellent.
Everything to do with the room and the casino was great! The bad part of our experience was the spa! Both the wife and I had a 10am appointment to get a massage the following day after our anniversary and one hour prior to coming in we got a call saying they could only give one massage because one massage therapist had something going on with their child. So unfortunately we decided to cancel for the one because we both wanted to do it together. Now the rules for us was if we canceled the day of we would have still been charged but it was ok for the spa to do it to us without offering any kind of compensation. Was this right? I thought at least offer a one massage get one free for the next time we stayed but nothing like that was offered at all. So unfortunately we are very disappointed with the spa!
It was a great night and the waitress and waiters were very polite.
So on a concert night, it seemed, like you didn’t plan for a large dinner crowd! It took quite a while for our salads and appetizers to appear! Other than that , the food was top notch and service was very good! Jamie did a good job taking care of us!
Our second visit Ito this wonderful restaurant and we had a truly outstanding meal on both visits.
It was lovely and the food was very good! It was a nice quiet atmosphere and service was nice.
Perhaps there is another way to access the Clearwater than parking on 4th level and passing thru the smoking area? Otherwise the dining experience was great.
We came for two nights for our anniversary... service was awful food was cold and hotel gave us a handicap room which had a terrible bed asked if we could be moved got a million excuses instead of problem solving. We have come here for years but it’s truly going down hill.
The prime rib, lobster, scallops, salad were good but not great, and a little boring. The view was okay. We could see primarily the parking lot with water in the distance. Some ho was vaping near us, which was highly unpleasant and made us eat faster so we could get away. No dessert offered. The waitress was nice but seemed strained, and forgot my wine.
Great scallops! Creative salads. Good Value.
We went on a Wednesday expecting music but the musician that had been hired was a no show. Somewhat disappointing. In addition the wine we ordered (The Jack) was listed on the menu as Cabernet Sauvignon when it was actually a Red Blend. Menu should be corrected to avoid confusion.
Host and waiters all very welcoming and helpful! We loved the eggs Benedict over tenderloin steak, topped with crab and excellent hollandaise sauce. Mini cinnamon rolls and scones also delicious! A very nice birthday lunch for me and my friends! Will be back! (Would love to see ham or bacon or sausage as an available side to go with baked french toast and pancakes, as might want to try them next time!
Great food and wonderful service. We've never been disappointed. The staff is outstanding and the food is amazing. Thank you for making our special occasions so memorable.
The whole experience was awesome
Taken my wife there for her birthday and our anniversary both experiences we marvelous will recommend to all of our friends
The food was fantastic. Great Service! Comfortable and relaxing. Will definitely return.
Must make a reservation though. Last year I was turned away as a walk in. Learned my lesson.
The food was excellent. I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly. My wife loved her seafood gnocchi and the house cab was very enjoyable.
3 of 4 meals were wonderful, but Prawn Pasta dish was heavy and uninteresting. Enjoyed the Wednesday evening music and the service. We were celebrating a birthday in our group but waitperson was not aware despite indicating it was a birthday celebration when reservation was made on Open Table. After correcting the birthday lapse, a very luscious piece of cake was delivered to the Birthday Girl.
