Excellent service and great food as always. Scenic water views. The dinner specials are a great buy.
We sat in a booth in the corner, and the waitress was less then attentive. Although overall a great place to eat they do tend to miss the details. I ordered the peppercorn encrusted New York steak, and as normal since the change from the Steak House, the steak had less than I would call encrusted. Every time we asked for something it took several minute (4-7min) each time or we had to ask again.
This place has a potential, if they could just find a level of consistency, and learn what the term encrusted means (may want to google it).
We went to the Clearwater for son's birthday from Burien. Nice drive. Took the Southworth Ferry home. The restaurant was very nice, up-scale but you didn't have to dress fancy. The waiter people were very attentive and were filling drinks and removing plates quickly. The food was awesome! Best prime rib we had in a long time. Birthday boy loved the steak hamburger. The sirloin steaks were juicy and tender too. Birthday boy got a free cake with candle . I would recommend this for a wonderful experience. Too bad the casino wasn't as friendly-LOL. (Birthday boy walked away with $80+)
The food would have been good if not for the too-cold temperature of the room. I ordered shrimp linguini, which quickly turned into a lumpy gummy mess. The shrimp was okay, nothing too flavorful. The bread basket turned cold quite quickly as well, even though it was well covered. I didn’t want to take my jacket off during my meal and I overheard similar conversations at nearby tables.
Made a reservation expecting a nice dinner at a upper-mid range restaurant. The Clearwater has more in common with Applebee's than it does a steakhouse. Food was not good, then you factor in the price and the restaurant is almost offensive. I can't imagine anyone would come here more than once.
All of the food was oversalted. Ordered the tuna steak, scallops, asparagus, and risotto. The risotto and scallops we're completely inedible. The only thing worth eating was the asparagus, and the bread that we had to remind the waiter to bring out.
The tables are hard plastic with no table cloths, so there is a lot of ambient table noise. Not cozy, not romantic, and the "view" is of the hotel parking lot. We may come back to the casino/hotel, but we will just eat at the buffet next time. The dinner almost ruined the whole evening.
Excellent Food and spectacular view!! Love this place.
Great experience. The service could really use some improvement. It was very difficult to understand and communicate to our server. I'm sure the lack of understanding is what contributed to the breakdown in service.
We celebrated. 21st Birthday. The food and service were fantastic! Kim, our waitress, provides outstanding service!
Wait staff was trying, but clearly junior. Food was about on par for the price point and what you'd expect from a hotel steakhouse.
Jody our waitress was awesome and made my grown daughter’s birthday a delight. She was friendly and Helpful. I would come again If she was the one waiting on us. Other waitresses seemed bored to be there , Jody was cheerful.
We stayed at The Tower for our weekend anniversary getaway; and my husband and I were very much looking forward to dining at the Clearwater. He ordered the MR Large Prime Rib ($35) and I had the Dungeness Crab Cakes ($29). We both added a starch side to our meals. Both dinners' fresh vegetables were a small portion of sauteed spinach & broccoli that were extremely bitter tasting. The prime rib had no flavor what so ever and was a bit chewy. He only at half of the prime rib and didn't even take the leftover for our dog. The server was not very attentive. She took our orders, brought our dinners, checked on us after we were just about done. The extra place settings and wine glasses were not removed from our table. We did not mind the prices if the quality and service were par.
My husband and I have over 25 years of restaurant experience between the two us. We were looking forward to enjoying a delicious meal with great ambiance. What a disappointment!! We would have been better off eating at a fast food place.
The best food since I moved to Poulsbo. The meal was excellent.
Four of us celebrated Valentines at the Clearwater and it was fantastic. It’s not our first time, but it was one of the best. Everything from arrival to departure was outstanding. The servers were both friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. The prime rib was a rare treat as I have found it difficult to find really good prime rib. Highly recommend!!!
Can’t beat the Prime Rib! Excellent service and food preparation. Don’t forget to request a window table
The food is excellent but we wait an hour for our food.
Should consider adding Sushi & Steaks to your recommend a friend list.
This was the second time our food timing was off again, prime rib not warm, thank goodness the ajus was to have warmth, the broccoli veg was bitter & mass chopped garlic, the Chef was really off again. What was good & held us over until our food arrived 32 min after ordering was the Clearwater sushi roll. Yeah
Amazing as always!!
Food was great, excellent service. Had the surf and turf. The only thing that I was not thrilled about was the group of drunk cackling hens (obviously a bachelorette party) that did not opt for a private party room—very disruptive😒.
You need to warn your customers that the chocolate grenache is 2 slices! I brought my 2nd slice home and enjoyed it the next day.
As usual, great service, beautiful view, and wonderful food. They put sushi on the menu !
Beautiful waterfront view, whether its raining or sunshine.
We have been to the Clearwater several times and each time the service was amazing and the food is all fresh, delicious and served beautifully. We will be back for our next special occasion!
We had dinner at the Clearwater with another couple, for our 29th wedding anniversary. It was a great experience end to end. Great, attentive staff, delicious food, pleasing atmosphere. The only thing that could have been better was the view... we were facing the parking lot. We would definitely come back and will recommend to our friends and family.
Amazing service and food.our new favorite special place to go for everything from a getaway dinner to a big group celebration. Thank you!!
Great food, great service and priced very well. My wife enjoyed her three course dinner - steak and lobster - perfect size and tasty. My "regular" steak and lobster was more than I should have eaten, Salads were exceptional!
Jamie was our waitress and she was fabulous. The food was excellent. I had lobster and petite prime rib. Great wine choices - Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. The others at my table drink a few bottles of cabernet - not sure what ones - but they enjoyed them. Others at the table had salmon, scallops, and filet. All commented on how yummy it was. Thanks!
Good service and good food, although salmon was a bit over cooked. Otherwise we were well taken care of and our special orders were accommodated graciously.
Service not in line with a restaurant this pricy
Very disappointed and will not go back
Reservation on line was easy had to change it once no problem. Got there a few minutes early no waiting very nice atmosphere to enjoy a very well prepared meal was every bit as good as the last time at the top of are list .
Excellent food close to home. Rivals going to Seattle for similar experience.
Beautiful atmosphere , wonderful food and service, highly recommend to family , friends and business associates.
I am writing a a letter to the General Manager about our dining experience. It wasn't good!
Diane the bartender is great! Friendly, helpful and great service!
Have eaten here a number of times, but this time we were not impressed with the duck that we ordered. This dish didn't include a vegetable or starch side dish; the only "vegetable" it had was a pile of steamed sliced white onions, which were an odd side dish to have. The duck had a small line of huckleberry sauce but not enough to dip every bite into it. The duck was a bit underdone so was still chewy.
Because there was no true vegetable or starch side dish, we ordered sharable separate side dishes of asparagus and of mushroom risotto. The asparagus was tasty and cooked just right, but the risotto had cheese on it which made it a bit too heavy for our tastes.
We ordered hazelnut chocolate martinis to accompany our dinner, and they were excellent, and helped make up for the disappointing meal. Because the duck didn't include any vegetable or starch side dish (as onion is most certainly not a valid vegetable), the dinner was very overpriced.
I've enjoyed myself there before. I got the special prime New York and Prawns. The new York was dry and chewey! The prawns were an average size shrimp I could get at the local grocery. It was the best false advertising I've seen on an upscale dinner menu ever. It will be the last time I dine there unless I hear they make some changes. I will eat at the buffet for because it's half the cost and same quality
Two years ago we came on Christmas night and the restaurant was quiet and relaxing with superb service.
This time it was almost full, service was so-so, and they wouldn’t honor our request to switch to a booth. Definitely not the same experience as last time and we may not continue the tradition.
Went there for Christmas Dinner, and the food was good, and it was very relaxing. The only place anywhere near us that is open on Christmas.
Great food and the staff was wonderful. The view is marvelous
Had my second Christmas Eve dinner here. The food was excellent! I had steak and lobster. My filet was cooked perfectly and the lobster was exceptionally sweet. Came with potatoes and carmalelized brussel sprouts which I normally would never eat. They were fantastic! The service was very good as was the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner.
