The Circular at The Hotel Hershey Ratings and Reviews
It has a touch of elegance, class and romance but does not excel in any of the three. They forgot to bring us bread until I asked after the appetizer was served. It was not a huge deal nor did I make it one but they were kind enough to comp us our deserts which i found very nice and was greatly appreciated. I found the staff extremely professional and enjoyed the experience. My steak was undercooked but was edible and deliciuos so maybe the chef knew best. my wifes salmon was not as great as she has had in the past but she loved the lobster bisque and the deserts were heavenly. Overall an excellent experience but not quite 5 stars.
Wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon with someone you love. The dining area brings you back to a less rushed time complete with views that open up to gardens and soft live music playing in the background. The food is wonderful and variety excellent. Save room for the desert table… it is an experience we will be talking about for years.
This was our second time to the Circular Dining room for dinner. Perhaps we were spoiled fromt the first but this definitely did not live up to the expectation. The service, particularly by our server, Heather, did not approach in any way the type of personal service that we had received the first time. She was very mechanical in her manners and it felt like she was not comfortable in a fining dining atmosphere. The secondary server, William, was much better. Even the Maitre' D did not have the same level of personal approach and warmth as we had 3 years ago. Given the prices and the limited menu, we will not be returning for dinner.
I booked a reservation at the Circular Dining Room as both a Valentine's dinner and a prelude to my engagement for my now fiancee. The staff was friendly but professional and very prompt with taking our order. The wait time on the food was satisfactory and the food was prepared to perfection. My fiancee and I both agreed the experience at the Circular Dining Room rivaled our experience at the elegant Eiffel Tower restaurant overlooking the Las Vegas strip.
The food was excellent as always, but it seemed as though the food was not refilled very often, almost as though they had run out. we were at the last brunch seating, and they had actually cleared an entire table of salads and cold meats very early...some in our party of 5 had actually not even had chance to have any of those items because it was cleared away. the dessert table had run completely empty...i believe another diner had complained about it, because when we were paying our check, the dessert table was being refilled. this was just disappointing. i actually had thought we were going to get a discount on our bill for lack of variety on the buffet.
My husband & I go here every year for the Chocolate Sunday Brunch to celebrate Valentine's Day. We are joined by another couple, dear friends. We look forward to going. The food is superb, ambiance is nice. It is a nice place where you can enjoy conversation, food & piano music.
The food and ambiance was impeccable. We celebrated valentines day here and had a great experience. Because of our visit we are now considering the hotel Hershey for our wedding and reception. The service was very friendly and helpful, the only problem was the wait for the food and drinks. After dinner I noticed the kitchen was a little far from the circular dining room so this was understandable. Everything else was immaculate and would recommend to anyone.
We had the Saturday buffet lunch...very lovely...seated by the window, beautifully served buffet with many courses at a reasonable price. I think that dinner and the Sunday buffet are much more expensive, but this was a very good option for our group. The service and surroundings were especially great.
It was a special occasion and the staff at the Circular Dining Room made it even more special. It was twenty-five years ago, when my husband proposed to me there. The staff even tried to get us as close to the area where it happen. We, both love the staff and the food was great. There was such large selection of food, we did not know where to start. They allowed us to dine at our leisure and we truly appreciated it. My husband even love that he did not have to wear suit jacket to brunch.
We left the dining room, fill, relaxed and satified with dreams of a future dinner/brunch in the Circular Dining Room at The Hotel Hershey.
I'm not usually the person who writes reviews, but this needs one. 1st we were seated right away. Good no wait. Only to see there only a few people in there. so we sit .15 minutes later the water girl comes. Them we r aprroachrd by another girl saying I'm One of you waitresses. Ok. The other will be over to take your order..10 minutes goes by. The bread girl comes. She the comes back with more water. I said have u sen our waitress. She the brings out our wines. She doesn't have enough for a full glass. She apologies and leaves. The other girl brings out a complimentry from the chef. A cold piece of sausage..No thanks. The plates sit in front of us for at least 10 minutes. So here comes the asst. Waitress. I said have u seen our waitress
This place is absolutely one of our favorite places to go-the scenic view out the large bay windows is so beautiful and relaxing. The attention you get makes you feel very special and they always do or say something nice, like last night for instance. It was out 35th anniversary-we went out as teenagers together when we were 13 & 14 years old and we still use the ask out date as our anniversary- 1/13/77. They made a special plate for us that read Happy 35th Anniversary in chocolate with it was included two chocolate covered strawberries which were so delicious and some Hersheys kisses! We took a picture of it on my cell phone it was so pretty!
