The Chop House - Charleston
Your staff is well selected for fine dining, but none better than Derek Palmer. He is the pen ultimate of what your product is known for. Thank you for the experience. Gary Borstein,
Ate diner at the bar, great conversation between patrons. Tiffany our server was fantastic!
We’ve been going here for our Anniversary every year for the past several years and we also go here for a few other occasions through the year. Last night we went again for our 20th anniversary, and it was almost like we weren’t even at The Chop House. Let me start off by saying that our server was great. She has waited on us before and her service was top notch, as usual. The car valet service was also very good. However, most everything else was not up to par. It was like the restaurant was off its game. The hostess who seated us just laid the menus on the table and walked away without saying anything. She didn’t even notice that there were no napkins on the table and we had to ask for napkins. She didn’t even offer to take my wife’s coat -a first ever! They were also out of several items, both from the wine menu and the food menu. Again, to be out of several items on New Year’s Eve and a Tuesday seemed quite strange. Overall, while our server was her usual awesome, the experience was quite disappointing due to what I mentioned above. I hope The Chop House gets its game back as we’ll be looking at other restaurants for our special occasions if this is the best we can expect going forward.
Everything was good from top to bottom
Perfect evening at The Chop House! Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. A little too expensive, but overall everything was amazing.
Yummy. Lindsay was our waitress and she was so cherry and kind. It was delicious, especially those cheesy potatoes! And the chocolate cake! I want to return.
Great service. Noise level low so we could talk to each other which was great. Terri was our waitress. Not rushed at all and we were able to enjoy a holiday meal with special friends!
Had the best filet mignon around! The Beef Wellington, my favorite, was superb! The menu selections were above par. Best atmosphere and food in the Valley.
Everything was wonderful, as usual.
Very noisy from a Christmas party behind a curtain, and cold inside the restaraunt. Thanks
On again enjoyed an excellent meal. Well prepared and presented. Travis our waiter was friendly and helpful. Quiet pleasant environment. Nice wine selection. Excellent steak and salmon.
Best restaurant in town!
We enjoyed an excellent meal. Salad, entree of lamb and fillet were exceptional. Bread pudding so tasty. Great evening, changing our plans and returning in 4 days. Pleasant Charleston surprise . Travis an excellent waiter. Manager really on top of things.
We had a wonderful dinner. The waitstaff was very attentive.
The steaks were good, but not great. The service was excellent.
It was wonderful. Waiter was very professional. Food was outstanding. Very reasonably priced. Portions were huge.
Our waiter was wonderfully attentive and looked out for us. The Salmon was perfectly prepared. It was a delightful eating experience.
The food was superb. Aged steak had a lovely wine reduction sauce with cracked pepper topping cooked to perfection. The scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and wine reduction sauce was so tender. And the pecan bread pudding with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream was divinely decadent
Our server, Jaime was knowledgeable, personable and never intrusive she was a delight
Great food and tremendous service. Our waitress was absolutely spot on with everything. It was our anniversary and we will continue to celebrate it at the chop house
Excellent service and food
Our waiter, Travis, was great. He made the whole experience worth it. The food was also excellent.
for any occaission the experience is memorable and well worth the money on all levels.
A wonderful evening
Truly a fine dining experience, yet not stuffy or pretentious. Excellent food - with a large number of appealing suggestions on the menu - and friendly, attentive service.
The food and service was very good. I’ll definitely be enjoying it again.
Most everything is very good to excellent. However, a high end dining establishment such as this should not list a porter as a lager on its menu, and should not serve creme brulee cold.
Wow what a gem of a restaurant. The wait staff was great and the steaks that we ordered were the right temperature and were just spectacular. Will go again when in Charleston.
First off if you've never been here before the prices are a little high. However, the food here is about as perfect as you can get. I had an 11 oz filet mignon creamed corn and scalloped potatoes are they were fantastic. The staff here is about as helpful as any staff that I've ever seen. Everyone genuinely seems to care about you and the quality of your food. This place is definitely worth a repeat trip.
Travis, our Server is New.
He did an excellent job in taking care of us.
Even though he is new, he gave us several excellent Menu suggestions.
He will be an excellent Employee for The Chop House.
Great service from the moment you step foot inside. Food is incredible. Beautiful atmosphere.
Derek, the bartender, and Bryant, our waiter, provided excellent service with a very personal touch.
Apart from the gluten free dinner roll that I found rather gelatinous, the food-lobster bisque and lamb chops-was was excellent. The vanilla ice cream is outstanding too!
The birthday half-off deal is the bomb! Go to place for special occasions.
Ate dinner at the bar, tiffany's service was excellent!
We requested a bar room only table. We were going to a concert and knew that is where would we like to sit. I put my request in with my reservation. Upon arrival, we were told that the table wasn’t available in the bar, but they could accommodate us at a regular table. BUT, there was an empty table in the bar with a reserved sign on it. The host proceeded to tell us that he knew that we requested a bar table but the empty table was for someone who had a reservation before us. This could not have been true. There is no way that EVERY bar table was reserved before us. We made our reservation a week and a half before our arrival. we noticed a four person table on the patio while walking in and decided to take it, opposed to the dining room area. I was very disappointed in the way that my party and I were treated.
On another note, our waitress was incredible. She had a total of ten tables and was very apologetic when our food and drinks took forever! We actually received our appetizers before any bar drinks.
Excellent all around! Halibut special is the best! Service was top notch! A little pricey but worth every penny and then some.
Enjoyed our dinner for 2 - we both had the filet which was cooked to perfection and was easily cut with a fork. Dessert was on the house because I am recovering from brain surgery. The service was excellent! Highly recommend and will return.
We were celebrating a birthday and everything was wonderful, as usual!
The filets were delicious. We also enjoyed the Brazilian cheese bread made with tapioca flour and Parmesan cheese.
I ordered birthday cake to be presented and they didn’t bother looking at my request nice server made it lovely. My first lemon drop had almost no alcohol in it so I had to get another one (on the house).
