The Chop House - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
We had a great time at the Chop House, our server Cameron made all the difference. One minor issue with the bartender over a cocktail warranted a convo with the manager. It was quickly dealt with satisfactorily and we went on with the rest of our lovely evening.
Took my daughter for birthday. Service was very good steak was very good, cooked perfectly. Sides were huge, but they will split them for you. A little pricey but overall it was a great experience. Would definitely go there again but not order as much food.
While I mostly enjoyed the food, it was not seasoned very well. The food was very pricey so I expected much better.
The manager and the wait staff were very attentive. We could not have had a better waitress, so for that reason, I could swallow the price.
I did not enjoy my crabcake and lobster dish, but my dining companions seemed to enjoy their meals. So, that's what mattered.
Originally sat us in “kids area” with a baby in a separate room from the dining room, no heat (end of November, and no music, terrible banquet type chairs etc) despite my advance reservation , and special comments about “birthday special occasion for adults”. Youngest person was 14. We were moved upon request to a much nicer table in dining room pretty quickly.
Chophouse has a great deal when dining for your birthday. 25% off your meal. I was disappointed in the portion sizes of the chicken breast entree. The sliders weren't cooked to our liking. When we sent it back, they still didn't get it right. Overall, great food, moderate prices. We would go back.
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary. The food and service were outstanding! They accommodated several special requests I made for the dishes I ordered without any problems. The servers were all very nice. It seemed like the entire staff knew it was our anniversary. Will definitely return to dine again.
Once again, the food was fantastic as was the service. Lydia, our waitress, was efficient, helpful, and charming. She made the entire evening for us. While the appetizers were somewhat limited and pricy, the steaks that three out of the four of us had were outstanding.
This visit to The Chop House was an especially notable one. It was a friend's birthday (check out their birthday deal!), but neither my wife nor I could really decide what we were in the mood for. We knew we wanted something related to their offerings, but 'different' and neither of us could figure out what, so we just asked our server Shannon to ask the Chef if he would mind "getting creative and making us whatever he wanted to". He did not disappoint - both our meals were FANTASTIC. I mean really off-the-charts great; super creative and unique. We had top notch, excellent service the whole evening (Shannon is awesome and by far our favorite server there), and it was really just a 12-out-of-10 type of experience. If you're on the lookout for a quality restaurant experience, you really can't beat The Chop House in Annapolis. It's easily our favorite, which the restaurant has earned repeatedly and consistently over the several years we've been going there. They care, and it shows - really, I can't say enough about this restaurant.
We had an excellent server and the food was outstanding. I had the tenderloin and my husband had the beef wellington. Both were magnificent. We ordered lobster bisque and jumbo shrimp for our appetizers and there was almost too much to eat!
Will surely be back for another birthday (after all there is 50% off the food if you have proof it is your actual birth date).
It was my birthday, no big deal as we dine out often. The server was very nice and it turned out she went to school with our grandson. Problem was the computers were down so it took almost as long to get the check as it I did to get the meal. They give you a healthy discount on your birthday and we felt so bad the young server had to put up with the computer glitch we gave her the whole amount of the check which half of it was her tip. Hope they fix the problem soon
Celebrating 34 year anniversary and service was slow and food was over priced. We purchased the lump blue Çrab and lobster cakes which we very dry and asked for tarter sauce and was told they did not have and we purchased the wagyu steak $69.95 which was touch. We asked for French fries as a side with gravy and they don’t serve gravy. The Chop House was a recommendation and my husband and I were disappointed. Maybe it was an off night.
I was disappointed. The cost is very expensive. The average steak, which was huge, costs and average of about $55, and sides cost about $8.95 each. I ordered a seafood risotto. It was just OK. I've had seafood risotto at other restaurants that was cheaper and tasted way better.
On the positive side, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. This is probably why prices are so high. The table was set with decorative plates and wine goblets that
I have dined at the Chop House - Annapolis many times and plan to go many more. The food is always superb, the waitstaff is attentive, without being overbearing.
I love taking someone there for their first time. Their reaction to the elegantly set tables; the electronic menus, which allow you to see pictures and gives a description of each dish; and the extra steps that are taken when you go for a special occasion, are a joy to experience.
Went for birthday dinner for my mother-in-law, both wife and her mother had the beef welling ton - in a word outstanding. I decided on porterhouse, again outstanding. Atmosphere was great, quiet (though probably due to fact it was Monday night). Great value as CH offers birthday discount of 33% for parties greater than 2 (50% off for 2). We'll definitely be back.
