The Chop House - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
After reading other reviews I feel liked I dined in a different restaurant. Service was friendly and they aim to please. The iceberg in our wedge salad was limp. They were out of 3 of 4 dishes we ordered. How does a steakhouse run out of mushrooms, potatoes au gratin, and lobster? We settled for a baked potato and it came out 10-minutes after our entrees. Our steaks did not have the sear I expect out of a serious steakhouse. The best part of the meal was the peanut butter bombe. Bottom line: if I am going to spend Chop House prices, I will go to Lewnes’ in Eastport/Annapolis.
We were kindly greeted upon arrival and seated earlier than reservation. Staff were professional, informative and friendly. The dim lights and distance between tables provide for comfort and privacy. The food was fresh, cooked perfect as ordered and delicious - filet mignon melts in your mouth! Enjoyable time as always - oh, and happy hour is also a fantastic bang for your buck!
Another wonderful visit to The Chop House. The filet special was AWESOME - definitely ask for it. This has been our favorite restaurant for quite awhile now, and the main reason for that is consistency in terms of the quality of the food, the stellar service, and finally the creativity of the Chef - that consistency is rock solid. We look forward to returning in a couple of weeks to celebrate a birthday!
On the advice of a good friend, I took my wife for her 40th Birthday dinner. They have an amazing special for birthdays based on party size discount the food tab anywhere from 25 to 50 percent off. The steakhouse is similar and I would say on par with Ruth Chris. The wine suggested wine pairings in the menu are spot on and we thoroughly enjoyed the Lobster bite and oysters o half shell appetizers.
Chop House isn't one of those 'stop in for a quick bite' kind of places. It's pricy but definetely worth it. Everything from the drinks, the starters, the sides and the steak oh god so Good! I went as per a recommendation from a coworker and I was very impressed. Our server Shannon was very pleasant and knowledge without it seeming forced. Plus if you can get seated in the wine room the ambiance is top notch; it's cozy and relaxing. Will definetely be going back for a birthday or another special occasion.
We went here for a birthday dinner and it was AMAZING!! Phillip was our waiter and he was perfect in every way - he made our experience wonderful. The food was excellent and perfectly timed when being delivered to the table. I would highly recommend the Chop House to any one who wants delicious food and perfect service.
We had a great time at the Chop House, our server Cameron made all the difference. One minor issue with the bartender over a cocktail warranted a convo with the manager. It was quickly dealt with satisfactorily and we went on with the rest of our lovely evening.
Took my daughter for birthday. Service was very good steak was very good, cooked perfectly. Sides were huge, but they will split them for you. A little pricey but overall it was a great experience. Would definitely go there again but not order as much food.
