The service was very attentive and the food delectable. It is expensive but very well prepared and many dishes are designed to be shared.
All in all it was great, server was mostly attentive, food good. My main issue is when you're paying $50 for a steak, it should be cooked perfectly. I ordered medium/medium well, it came back closer to medium rare, by the time the server asked how it was, my wife was almost done with her meal and aside from my steak, I was done, no I do not want to send it back to get recooked. For the prices, I believe everything should be perfect from the beginning.
Steaks were outstanding, sides were ok, dessert was spectacular and service was mediocre .
We had a wonderful meal and a special birthday dessert surprise. We enjoyed celebrating at the Chop House.
The Chop House is always a favorite when we’re in Ann Arbor! Great service, great food and fabulous cocktails!
Great Service. Our waitress was very nice and offered great suggestions and very willing to always listen to our questions. Would definitely come back and refer my friends and family
I️ asked for the chef to toast the bread and they said that no because they were too busy but other tables had theirs toasted... I’m not sure what that was about but I️t did not make me feel like they valued my presence by doing that. Mash potatoes came out really cold. The filet and calamari were good. Noise level was good, not too loud or quiet.
Fine dining at its best! A treasured experience. Thank you to the entire staff - and especially to Andrew our head-waiter. The service was spectacular, the food was incredible, the atmosphere was perfect for our special occasion.
Everything was excellent as always except the seating. Seating is to close to the table next to you very cramped and not private at all.
Excellent Steak , good service.
In town to visit son. This is his favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor.
Fine dining in Ann Arbor. The service is exceptional. The steaks were great and prepared exactly as we requested. And the desserts are incredible.
Literally the best steakhouse in Ann Arbor. It is expensive but it worths it.
Recommend the lamb. Juicy and tender.
Great place for birthday dinner as it will take the share of the person off.
Took my wife to The Chop House for her birthday. The food, beverages and service were exceptional. Can't say enough about how well our filets were cooked. Loved the whole experience and will return again soon.
The food is always excellent as well as the service. Would highly recommend.
Nice food and place for special event.
Birthday discount is great.
The food was fantastic!
I was disappointed with my visit to The Chop House this past weekend. It took over a 1/2 hour for our server to take our order and we rarely saw her at our table after that. She was more focused on her other two tables and left us on the back burner.
The steak was decent but not worth the price. My husband's strip steak was very thin and fatty. The sauce for our broccoli was cold and congealed. Overall, it was not very impressive and I would rather spend my money at Ruth Chris's Steak House where I know the quality of food and service is better.
Great atmosphere! Great food! Amazing cigar lounge :)
It got pretty loud. Tables were a little too close together. I ordered a New York strip and received a Fillet Mignon. I didn’t wanna wait the extra 30 minutes so I ate it
Yet another wonderful experience was had. Luke was awesome very friendly and knowledgeable the wine was great and the food even better we will be back thank you all again for a great evening.
Everything was quite lovely but nothing worthy of an outstanding review. I think it's too pricey for what it offers. But I'd still recommend it as the best place for steak in Ann Arbor.
The steak was amazing, and so was the baked potato and bananas foster bread pudding! Additionally, our waiter was amazing was very knowledgeable of the menu.
Everything was Great!
Birthday. Very good value.
Celebrated our 2nd anniversary - we were seated promptly after arriving, staff was accommodating and attentive, the food was amazing and so delicious. Plenty of parking nearby. The cocktails were also fantastic. Awesome steak and the best lamb chops I've had in a long time. Will definitely go back!
We were greeted with a warm welcome and it only got better from there. Great place! Great food!
Always amazing and perfect location - food is top notch! Perfect evening!
There was A woman and her mother drinking heavily acting inappropriately and saying inappropriate things out loud nearly ruining the experience. I believe the term molestation was thrown around numerous times as well as the F word and a number of other curse words.
The front host was beyond rude to us. I was shocked that she is in the service industry. The food was great and out waiter was great.
Food is fabulous. Service is perfect. We were seated in a back room that 1 other couple was seated in. It was perfect & quiet. The main room seamed much louder. Free birthday meal on your day! So delicious that we will be back!
We love driving to Ann Arbor to dine at The Chop House. The food and service is incredible. We'd recommend it to others. Thank You for making it special.
The service was great. The quality of food was not what I expected from the kitchen. The wait staff saved the dinner.
Good as expected
Excellent service and attention to detail by the entire staff.
The whole experience was great. I gave 5 stars for everything except value because the food is worth the cost but it is very expensive.
We were dining for my birthday, and the experience left me feeling quite pampered. My husband and I both dine out often for work, and I wish every dining experience was this lovely. We received excellent service from the host, to our server and the various staff who assisted throughout the evening. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed each course; though, we each thought the Poblano Mac and Cheese lacked flavor. The Prosecco Cake was a delightful way to end a luxurious meal. Thank you for making a special occasion truly feel special.
The "Valentine's king crab appetizer" was much below Chop House standards. It was ONE crab leg about 5 inches long, diameter of the leg less than an inch, on a bed of salt with some small half centimeter size squares of pepper, for $18.95 which comes up to around $22 for a small morsel of crab leg. That is outrageously expensive and unsatisfying. What is the chef thinking creating such a substandard dish? If priced at $5, it wouldn't even be acceptable.
