The Chop House - Ann Arbor
Baked Alaska was amazing but I was bummed that they don’t have french press coffee anymore:(
My wife selected two appetizers for her meal and I selected the 8 oz. fillet. We shared a serving of Brussel Sprouts. All of the food arrived hot and was outstanding. Our waitress, Emily, was outstanding, always helpful, but never in the way.
A family tradition!
We ha a wonderful dinner for my husband's birthday. Food was perfect. Our waiter, Christopher was so nice and helpful. We will be back again.
Our food was delicious. They waiters seemed to be spread too thin. They did not have bus boys to assist them so plates were left too long on the table and waters were not filled. For the prices you pay at this restaurant there should be more service staff. Also the room was very loud making it hard to talk at larger tables.
Great meal and service. Appreciated the seating location toward the back that made for constructive discussion.
We expect to pay premium prices at the chop house but $18 for a shrimp cocktail is way over priced when the shrimp are no larger than your little finger. That was an insult. Overall, it was not good value for the money,
Everything about this place is cool especially if you get a chance to sit downstairs, just know that it’s a cigar smoking area but they do close the doors for the dining.
Our server was awesome and the rest of the people their really work hard to please their customers. It’s not a cheap place but you get what you pay for.
The Service and the food was fantastic, Brian was excellent. I would definitely recommend The Chop House to anyone looking for a nice evening out.
Service was impeccable. Food is always amazing. Our go to when we visit Ann Arbor.
Great atmosphere. FANTASTIC food. Great manager and service. We will be back!!!!
Apart from the wonderful food, the experience was made incredible by my server. She was really awesome. An absolute asset to Chop House. Thank you for a wonderful dinner this evening.
Went with my husband for our anniversary and loved it! It was amazing food and the service was excellent!
Dinner was excellent, however the dessert left much to be desired. The cake was so dry and stale that I guess it was 5 days old at least. It was also tasteless, so most likely not even good when it was fresh. So, I give a downward thumb to the Le Dolce Vita for their desserts. I would never recommend it.
Always love eating here. It's worth it for the bread alone! As always, food was delicious. Went downstairs for dessert (really cozy vibe) and had the bread pudding. It was scrumptious ^_^
Still our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor.
The service and food is 2nd to none. They treated my wife like a queen for on birthday. I can't remember his name, he was awesome.
superb cuts of meat. lobster bisque is a must. great place to celebrate something special as it is pricey.
It’s a great steak house!!!
Saturday nights for business meals are unusual but the ChopHouse did not disappoint
5 stars no doubt
Great and much needed night out on the town.
Good food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Noisy.
We sat in the front window out waiter was amazing. We had the seafood tower app ,steaks and sides, Wonderful pairing for wine.
Excellent dinner, the birthday special is a good deal!
Discernible quality of service. Well trained empathetic wait staff. Responsive servers. Timing for delivery of food and execution were top notch. There is a noticeable pride in the work being performed.
Absolute must for any birthday or special occasion. Service is great, food is even better.
Outstanding night as a whole. Server was excellent and they provided a discount for my birthday. Only complaint is my significant other's steak came out overcooked, but the kitchen staff promptly made her a new one.
Slower and less attentive service than we are used to. Similar presentation of food, but not quite up to the same quality and service we have come to expect. Not busy, later evening when we had dinner.
Enjoyed our 35th anniversary with family and friends. Our waiter, Sam, was outstanding and made us feel very comfortable!
Food was good, pricey but to be expected. Not a huge fan of the super dark environment but not a big enough fault to not return.
Ann Arbor Chophouse is way over priced. Especially when there are great restaurant options in Ann Arbor. Shrimp cocktail was average. Steak was okay but $50 for an average cut of filet? We grill better steaks at home. I think what was the most disappointing part was how severely overpriced their wine was. We drink wine often and understand the mark up when you go to a restaurant- especially fine dining. However, their prices were outrageous. $20 for a sub par glass of Cabernet Sauvignon is just too much. The positive part of the experience is the impeccable service. Our server was awesome and so were the rest of the staff.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. I would love to come celebrate every special occasion in this serene environment.
Food was just ok lobster bites deep fried tasted like oil steak not much flavor way over priced.
Excellent food with great side and drink options as well. Dessert is phenomenal along with a nice cigar selection. Highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing! Best meal I have ever had. The filet was cooked perfect (medium rare) and the chocolate decadence desert was heavenly!!
The beef Wellington was exceptional this time - there was plenty of the foie gras and duxelles, so that we really could savor them. 🙏 hope it’s just as good next time
Second time here and it was every bit as good both times. One of the more upscale restaurants in Ann Arbor and it doesn’t disappoint.
Unfortunately, The Chop House has changed since I used to frequent it in the past for business related dinners. The food was definitely not good. There was a dish named Morrocan Shrimp that should be named Buffalo Shrimp. It tasted like hot sauce was poured over it. The lamb chops were different temperatures than we requested. The Caesar salad was mediocre. The only decent appetizer was the tuna. I will never return here. I'm better off cooking at home. And the server should clean his fingernails. This was a very disappointing experience.
