Dinner a bottle of wine and dessert
Wait staff and helpful dessert counter
Great food, love the chocolate pasta! Wonderful choice of martinis.
Amazing food and service!
Server was very attentive and gave great recommendations food was good had great time
Loved the food, service was amazing drinks were delicious. My only complaint is the table we were seated at right downstairs at the edge of the stairs it’s just not a great spot. We asked for another table and they put us in a better space, the couple minutes later was seated there and also asked for a different table.
This is my 3rd time at CB, we love the food! The only problem was she did not give me credit for the reservation on Open Table. She said she didn’t see the reservation on her computer. I did make it obviously because I’m writing this review. I don’t know what went wrong??
Wasn’t busy, service was great even though the bartender didn’t show up. My husband’s sandwich was good but I ordered the “Steak and Stuffed Pepper Flatbread” and was disappointed. The steak was tough, the pepper was clearly from a jar and not stuffed, and the flatbread was more like a tortilla. The martini menu looked great and has been fabulous in the past, but we didn’t order those this time. Overall...I’ll go back but ehhhh
Fun menu with very unique chocolate choices. Everything was very good!
Normally we love coming here to celebrate special occasions. We came for a graduation this time, had reservations, and when we arrived it took 5 -10 minutes before a hostess even greeted us. Then another 10 minutes to get seated and the table was open. We ordered and sat for food for over an hour causing me to have to cancel one of the orders because a party member couldn’t wait any longer. Put a damper on our party atmosphere. Very disappointed.
I made reservations a week ahead of time and requested for a centerpiece to be on the table for my boyfriend and I (we were celebrating a special occasion). We were seated at a table with nothing special on it. The food was not very good. I ordered the portobello panini and all I kept biting into was caramelized onion. We decided to order desert thinking: “maybe that’s what they have going for them”. We ordered the individual Carmel cheesecakes and it was enjoyable but I feel like we could’ve bought them frozen from the store and ate them at home. The server we had was pleasant, but by the end of our meal someone totally different (not in uniform) came to our table to serve us desert and give us the check. Oh! And the entire time we were there, there was a painting class taking place on the second floor so it was super noisy and not at all intimate. All in all, I personally will not go back to The Chocolate bar because the food is not good and I was slightly disappointed.
The place could use fresh coat of paint. More chocolate options...
The food was plated beautifully! Taste was just was good.
Staff looked hot and over worked, yet still smiled and was friendly.
Good food however all the servers there seemed miserable
Love this place food is really good
I really loved the idea of the place. But it seemed more geared toward a martini bar then a restaurant, that is the drinks and desserts were delicious but the entrees were not worth the price.
Love it, just dislike how crowded and cramped it can be
Our dinners were very good and the desserts were excellent. Our server was top notch... very friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable for a downtown restaurant so the overall value was very good. The only drawback was our seating. We were at a table for two in the middle of the second floor. We felt like we were in the way as waitresses had to squeeze between our table and those next to us. As a result, it was not a very intimate setting. However, we would still highly recommend this restaurant but you might want to insist on a table along the wall or the railing.
Great place to eat if you are looking for something different. Mojitos are the best I’ve ever had. Strawberry flatbread was a great choice. Fettuccini Alfredo needed a little more sauce. The bread appetizer was amazing!
Food was excellent but very slow .
We all enjoyed our night there. The drinks and desserts were fantastic. No one had anything bad to say about it, other than the dinner menu is a little limited as well as some of the call spirits you may be looking for aren't always available.
Had a fun chocolate martini before dinner that was super yummy and took advantage of the restaurant week menu. I had the Salmon and my guest had the filet mignon. It was a perfect date night dinner.
I think this was my fourth year in a row of partaking in Local Restaurant Week. Their menu is one of my all time favorites. While I am pescatarian, I know all of my friends LOVE the chicken and waffles, I love the ravioli, their desserts are decadent, and their Caesar salad, while simple, is perfect, never overdressed!
The front door girl was rude and I made reservations and still waited 50mins and my food came out cold
Loved the steak..the workers were great and also the other guest were friendly
Food is excellent. Service is always great. Hostess could have been a bit more organized, but it was a crowded Saturday night. Noise level is high, so be prepared. Nothing can beat the excellent menu and great service.
DISCLOSURE : it was restaurant week when I went so I understand to a degree, but the hostess was rude first thing when we got in there. Thankfully our waitress (blonde hair, highschool teacher) was very nice despite being super busy with other tables. Food was eh. I got the filet medium rare and it came out basically raw. Like I said though, i understand it was restaurant week so not the best time to come in and dine here for the first time.
Restaurant week and the menu looked nice, so we made reservations. We were seated right away, even though it was a very busy & crowded Saturday. Our waitress was pleasant, the drinks were tasty and the food, delicious!!! And the value was excellent! I would definitely go back again!
I was upset that I was not able to use my gift certificate during restaurant week. It states that you could not use coupons or discounts but did not say you could not use certificates.
Went for resturant week. Food was delicious and service was great !
Made this reservation a few weeks ago for my best friend’s birthday. Our intent was to eat dinner, have desserts, and martinis, as I have been several times before and the food has been outstanding. Was extremely disappointed and upset, upon being seated we were unable to order anything but the preset food menu, as well as desserts. This was because it was “restaurant week.” So frustrating we couldn’t order the food we wanted. Especially since we weren’t informed of this event. We had shared the menu among our friend group and everyone was so looking forward to it, but ended up leaving and going somewhere else.
Went there for dinner to celebrate our Anniversary which also happened to be during Restaurant week. Made reservations which were perfect, hostess staff was professional and timely.
Our waiter was not as impressive, ordered the Steak and Shrimp Meal. Steak medium rare which came out very rare. Brandon immediately apologized and offered to take it back to have it properly prepared. It was brought back cooked on the outside but still quite rare on the inside. I did not complain, I just accepted it. It was then that I noticed that I did not receive my Shrimp. Brandon once again apologized and rushed back with them. For $11 those three Shrimp were quite small. Disappointed.
Dessert time, I ordered a decaf with my dessert which was rushed out, and I waited for well over 10 minutes, no Brandon. We finally flagged down Liam, our water guy and told him that we didn’t my decaf and cancelled the coffee. Shortly after Brandon stopped by and apologized once again. He told us that he would take one of the beers off of our bill.
Brandon brings the check and the coffee charge is on it. We tell him and he apologizes and takes the charge off.
For the money we spent we were not impressed and will not return. Very disappointed.
are sever Ashley was great! so nice , great food. we were in and out within and hour.
food is always delicious here, service was friendly and attentive, even with a full house.
very loud, but what isn't these days. keep up the good work! thanks for another delicious dinner.
Our waitress Ashley was Amazing!!!
The food was good, seating is a little tight for my liking... Shout out to Ashley!!
The table settings were very tight. There was limited space from patron to patron. Overall, the food was good. Service was good. I would eat there again.
- extremely loud
- dust on the railings by our table
- one waitress on the second floor for about 12-14 tables
- didn't get drink cups for water until the salads came out and after we ordered our food
- order wasn't taken for almost 30 minutes when we sat down
- alcoholic drinks took about 25 minutes to show up
- couple that walked in 10 mins after us got their alcohol before us, food before us, dessert before us, and their bill all before we got ours
- just overall terrible experience. I will probably never return or recommend this restaurant to a friend
Great meal, great service, outstanding quality. Will come back again
Went for the first time during restaurant week. Overall great experience. Will definitely be back. Fun atmosphere..
I went there with my son for restaurant week which was a good deal but they advertise five dollar glasses of wine and my first one was that price but when I ordered a second one it was eight dollars and that waitress told me because happy hour was over but that’s not what’s your ad said so I was disappointed in that
Food was awsome, as well as the chocolate martini...nice deal for resterant week
