I'm french, and I don't really like food in usa, but relative to other places in New York, the Chelsea pub has been one of the good surprise I had during my stay.

We were traveling out of town via Penn station and we were looking for a good place to eat. It's a little bit of a walk but for good pub food in a relaxed atmosphere, it's hard to beat. The fish and chips were very good. The burgers were so good my son ordered two rounds. That says it all.

Chelsea Pub was comfortable and the food was great! The drinks were just as awesome. I love that they have outlets running along the benched seating in case you have a phone to charge - a plus in a neighborhood that loves that their iDevices =) ... This is a great spot to fall into when you want to be among a nice group of people, in a comfortable, relaxed setting with a friend or two. You might even spot a celebrity like I did this weekend =D

Best sirloin burger in Manhattan, calamari and quesadillas are the best we've had in 20 years! Great atmosphere to boot. Do it!

Pleasant Pub, with good Irish Pub fare and large portions. They have an Irish breakfast on the menu which I would love to try sometime. We will return next Tuesday for their trivia night, we never have been to a pub trivia night but it sounds like fun.
