One of the best meals I’ve EVER had! Absolutely everything we had from drinks and appetizers to entrees and dessert were incredible. Beautiful interior and nice exterior with fire pits. 10/10 recommend!!!
We shared a beet and arugula salad, and I had oysters on the half shell, the lollipop lamb chops, with hoisin soba noodles, and a lobster tail, accompanied by a dirty blue martini. All was delicious, and the lamb chops and lobster tail a delightful treat.
Just delightful!! We really enjoyed ourselves!! Service was on point and drinks were on time and delicious!! Our food was outstanding Chef really knows how to create delicious meals. I never understood why people try to customize their own meals. Eat what the Chef designed and you will never be disappointed!! Highly recommend!! Special tip: finish the night out by the fire pits if it's not raining.
We come every year for our Anniversary!! We came early to enjoy a drink at the bar and the bartender was amazing!! We then sat at a beautiful table inside by the fire place where we enjoyed an amazing three course meal. The food was delicious and perfect portions! Highly Recommend!! If you haven't celebrated a special event with them you should!! O and how could I forget our pumpkin spice creme brulee was out of this world!!!
What a fun vibrant little spot in Bolton Landing. From start to finish the staff was amazing we met a couple of sisters who really went over and beyond to take care of us. The manager Mark really knows what he is doing!! High five to a staff that really takes pride in the venue they work for. We even met the Chef! Everything we ordered cooked to perfection!! If you like suggestions ask your server what they recommend and you will NOT be disappointed!! DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!
Came in for a lovely dinner on Monday night. Leslie was our server (she was the only server). We are visiting from Seattle and just happened upon the chateau by chance. We didn’t have a reservation but showed up early. Everything was great from start to finish.
The service was terrible. Ordered a drink and it was twenty minutes later and still, no drinks appeared. The bread was barely baked. The food was frankly inedible. I could understand the terrible service if the restaurant was packed but it was not.
Great date night:)
Outstanding service and exquisite food. Always enjoy going there.
food was above average, but clearly not of a level to justify the price. calamari with Graham cracker tasted no different that a mid level restaurant. tuna tartar Wasabi sauce lacked Wasabi taste. have had better red snapper and halibut at fish restaurants. desert choices were basic
We had a wonderful dinner at Château on the Lake. The music was a cool mix of songs you know but instrumental. Great ambiance. We started w drinks n apps never feeling rushed. The tuna tartare and calamari were devine but who could go wrong w lamb lollipops! Delicious. Dinner was equally satisfying from surf to turf we had a variety and each was delicious. For desert we tried their build your own doughnuts w toppings. Very fun and delicious. Small bites and just enough! Review would not be complete without a shout out to Kim. Her great personality and endless recommendations made the night extra special.
Our meal and the service by Evan was spectacular! We love the Chateau and only wish we lived closer so we could dine there more often. And the view of the lake with the twinkling lights overhead was just perfect!❤️
Jackie our server was awesome.
We ate outside. I was surprised we didn't have a better view of the Lake. In photos I thought we ate more in the center of the grounds. But there were fire pits for cocktails and that view was pretty.
It was our Anniversary, we were greeted with a special note and although we were too full for dessert, we were given complimentary champagne. I thought that was a nice touch.
My husband and enjoyed the cozy yet elegant ambiance and the friendly service. The food was delicious and the portion size perfect.
Food and ambiance was amazing. Been coming up to Lake George for decades and never new about this perfect gem hiding on the lake. We will be back every time we’re in town for sure ..
Thanks for a memorable evening
Very expensive salmon crab dish was mediocre. Very bland. And at 55$ should have been. Mushroom truffle ravioli was fantastic as was beet salad. Donuts for dessert were amazing. So only the one dish was disappointing
Place was awesome. Jackie was a great waitress. Cool atmosphere.
Not good. Bread plates on table but no bread served. Ok I can deal with that but it was odd. When asked what beer available (which menu says to do) told only “local” of the brews but no brewer names. She didn’t know. Ok not a big deal. But then the food. It was “ok” but corn chowder for $9 a cup was clearly frozen corn and not charred (still quite firm too) and pretty bland. Expected more from such a place, but, alright it was ok enough to eat. “Pan-seared” snapper looked like it was poached and not seared - skin was rubbery and soft and underside had no color whatsoever. I almost wondered if it was just poached or microwaved, god forbid. The fish itself also didn’t seem fresh. A bit fishy and tough. Def not worth almost $50. Husbands pork chop was “alright”, maybe even good but not very good, also needed some salt or something to bring out the flavor and again not worth the high cost. Dessert - creme brûlée came straight out of fridge - not freshly brûlée’d - strawberry half on it was clearly sitting in fridge too, that sortof dry look of the interior, when not freshly sliced. Even worse the creme was only set at the top and the underneath was completely soupy. For this - $14. And then we got the wrong bill from the server at the end. Mistakes happen and normally not something I’d mention but it was just a less than underwhelming experience overall - it was disappointing. And definitely not with the almost $200 spent. Go somewhere else IMO.
We have been to the Chateau on the Lake a number of times now and would definitely recommend it, food is great and the staff are friendly.
wonderful experience, great service, superb location
My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Château on the Lake. Evan, our waiter, was charming, professional and well versed on the menu. He answered all our questions and helped with making our final dinner selections. The choices were hard because there are so many wonderful options to choose from. My husband ordered the lobster bisque and the fillet a beef tenderloin. The bisque was wonderful, the fillet was tender, cooked to perfection and truly delicious. I ordered the arugula salad and the duck confit fettuccine, which was absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend this dish enough. I would go back to the Château just for this one dish alone. For dessert we shared a slice of Key lime pie. The pie was sweet and tart, creamy and light, and a perfect ending to our meal. We look forward to going back.
Delightful, delicious, relaxing ambience. Ist time in lake George, glad we stopped here. Definitely worth the trip.
Beautiful restaurant. Maybe service was a bit slow due to staffing but if you’re a high end restaurant, you need to serve Luxardo cherry with a Manhattan and not a maraschino.
Only issue is that wait staff was not wearing masks.
Excellent food, very enjoyable experience.
Our server Kim was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She made our first anniversary dinner memorable.
Beautiful view in a peaceful setting. The porch was a romantic place for a table for two. Both the salmon and red snapper entrees were outstanding along with the sides, truffled mashed potatoes and lobster risotto, that accompanied them. service was good but the initial server forgot to give us bread.
Excellent dinner. Food was amazing. Service wonderful! Atmosphere beautiful.
Great service. Jackie was very accommodating.
Overrated and overpriced, our nice meal compared well to other good restaurants; but we wouldn’t bother to travel out of the way to visit again. Even the view of Lake George failed to meet expectations. Meh.
P.S. The lone exception—a truffled, wild, mushroom ravioli—proved outstanding; I enjoyed this simply elegant dish, but the entire operation felt amateurish despite a sign outside about a Food Network show.
Lovely ambiance outdoors on the shore of Lake George. Festive lighting around the grounds and under an attractive tent, complete with chandelier. Staff was attentive and seated us right on time. Chateaubriand was luscious and seafood tower impressive. Dessert was key lime with lovely strawberry swirl/cream.
Very pretty but like most restaurants after Covid they were short staffed. Our server Jackie was excellent but had too many tables to wait on and the restaurant wasn't crowed. Drinks were very good, the pear martini was awesome.
Very nice lunch in with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff went out of their way to make you comfortable and offer a great experience!
Brunch at The Château on the Lake was very nice. Enjoyed the outdoor dining on the patio.
The food and variety was good. Service was friendly and attentive.
Overpriced! Crazy overpriced
Service could be better
Classic French food in a beautiful old house setting on the lake. The Chateaubriand was excellent but slightly overcooked. Service staff are incredibly friendly.
Dining at the Chateau in Bolton Landing NY is a wonderful experience with delicious food. The setting is charming, beautiful and peaceful. Service is excellent. A most enjoyable evening!
We went here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! The staff was amazing and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice night out!
The food was amazing. The rest of the experience poor. Was sat ‘on the back porch’ on a slanted table. Chairs were stained so much so I put a napkin on them. Wife’s drink was not only in the wrong glassware as the waitress announced they only had like 4 martini glasses in the whole place but tasted of crystal light and the glass it did come out in was cracked
The sister restaurant in Florida is a class act and we dined there before which is why we came here. This is a cousin at best that needs a make over. At Cadillac prices the whole experience needs to be aligned
Magical setting and wonderful food. Would recommend for a very special evening.
