The Chateau Grill at Chateau Faire Le Pont Winery
Join us and enjoy some of the best cuisine in Central Washington. Already known for our great wines, we are also locally famous as the perfect spot to come out and enjoy a delicious meal, paired wonderfully with a bottle of Chateau wine. Whether it’s a business lunch or a romantic dinner for two … The Chateau Grill is the right choice.
Been wanting to try this restaurant for over a year but miss the opening hours as usually only have a random weekend out. Met my dear friend for a fun Wednesday night out. Great friendly service, lovely wines, fun entrees and amazing desserts (we tried 3). Will definitely keep track of the hours to taste through appetizers a sample other main dishes on our next trip.
My steak wasn’t very good, the meat just wasn’t the best. The asparagus was awful, tough, woody and cooked wrong. But the others in my group loved their halibut over rice.
Ambience was fantastic! Sat next to live music which was unobtrusive and tasteful. Service fantastic! Liked that the winery was attached and could order from their selection as it’s pretty good. Menu wasn’t long but had good selections appropriate for time of year and location. Live locally and would certainly return.
We chose this for our 5th wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect venue. Food was excellent and there was an abundance of delicious wine. The normal person who plays there couldn’t make it, but there was a substitute band (upright bassist and electric guitar duo). They were so great and set the perfect mood for a romantic date.
The only thing I can say that’s remotely disappointing is our server wasn’t as inviting as she seemed to be with other tables. While we were there to celebrate our anniversary, we weren’t asked if it was a special occasion. This wouldn’t have been any sort of thing I’d have thought about, but the table that got seated next to us toward the end of our meal did get asked that exact question. We weren’t expecting anything...they probably seat dozens of anniversary dinners every week, but perhaps they could be more consistent with how servers interact with guests.
Other than that (very small) issue, it was excellent from start to finish. We hope to go back again one day and perhaps while there’s still daylight to appreciate the views.
Really enjoyed The Chateau Grill, which we discovered almost by accident simply because we were staying at a hotel within walking distance. Pros: OUTSTANDING live music by a friendly guy named Charlie who played soft, unobtrusive guitar during the meal (one of my pet peeves is when live music overwhelms the restaurant, but it was the total opposite here);; the wine, which is from the winery in which the restaurant is located, was phenomenal, as good as we’ve ever had; service was great; and they have a cool fenced-in area outside where you can drink wine while your dog can play (although we didn’t do this - we didn’t have our dog). Con: the food was a bit uneven - bread was great, my steak salad was very tasty (succulent steak combined with fresh tomatoes bursting with flavor), but my wife’s chicken was not as flavorful as we would have expected with ham and cheese. Overall, though, this restaurant was a surprising GEM!
Food was good. The curtains that separate the dining area from the rest blew into us every time the door opened. And we were seated in a fairly awkward place. The wine was excellent.
Menu updated with less options requested steak medium, was rare.
We had a very nice meal; they were able to accommodate our friend who is gluten-free. The wine was excellent. Service very good, we had fun with the waiter. It was nice because we ate rather early, but it did get noisier as more people came in. I felt it was too noisy for my tastes.
Overall, it was a very nice dinner and we enjoyed it.
Atmosphere was great, wine was very good. Service was very good. The Chicken dinner when described by our server sounded marvellous, but unfortunately it was not! Desert was described as Apple Fritter and was four round like donuts with ice cream. Dinner unfortunately was average1
We love coming here. Food is always a step above. Even sauces and salad dressing treatment is complex and yummy flavors. A hidden gem!
I Always enjoy a delicious meal and glass of wine with the family when we visit Wenatchee.
Food is always great as is friendly service.
Our waitress was amazing. She made up for some small kitchen issues that we had. She fixed the issue by getting us free dessert which was amazing. We would definitely come back to this restaurant. Wine selections are great.
Our table of four had a spectacular dinner of venison, rabbit, steelhead and the valley's best steak salad. The Chateau offers a gourmet menu that is worthy of a much larger city has to offer. If you live or are visiting Wenatchee your stay is not complete until you have lunch or dinner at the Chateau.
Food awesome, live music nice, service good. But hostess searing us was horrible—we waited 40 minutes for a table we had reservations for. Almost walked out.
This restaurant was recommended by some people we met at a local winery. We had a couple appetizers that were very good. Then salads and wine. Also quite good. Love the goat cheese balls in the salad. A couple of us had the seafood risotto. It had a strong smell of seafood which is usually not a very good indication of how fresh the fish is. I probably should have said something to the wait person but I was full by that time. I would recommend this restaurant but probably wouldn't have the seafood again.
This place was recommended to us. Good thing. Fabulous restored building, beautifully decorated for fall. Our server was a vibrant, enthusiastic gal who knew her job. However, I spent the evening observing a young male server texting, showing photos and generally being useless while ours ran her tail off. I'd pink slip him. Wine selection only offerings of the winery products. The only drawback was that they were out of the style I wanted and nothing to replace it. Food was really nicely prepared and presented. Well worth a visit.
This restaurant in a winery is a gem. The food and service were outstanding. One of Wenatchee's great places to eat.
This restaurant is in a winery. The food is excellent with a good choice for every taste. The wine list only carries the Chateau Faire le Pont wines. However, there is no mark up for the restaurant. The price you pay is the same as if you were buying the wine to take home, and there is a good variety of wines available. Highly recommend that you finish your meal with the Commander's Reserve Syrah dessert wine.
The tasting bar area was enjoyable with a friendly knowledgeable sommelier. No charge if having wine with dinner was a plus too. The flamingo guitarist was a nice touch in the dining room. The lightning was a bit harsh or too bright although I prefer dim. The deserts were too big and none had a fruit option. The personnel were great.
We've now eaten here twice; the first time just my wife and me, this time with her parents. We had 3 dishes between us: ribeye steak, lamb chops, and scallops. All were delightful. My in-laws enjoyed their first course of French onion soup, calling it the best they'd ever had. My wife had the goat cheese salad, while I had the grilled wedge. Both were delicious. Judging from the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon we shared, their wines are exceptional. We'll be back. This has to be one of the better restaurants in the Wenatchee area.
Our son Dalton works at the grill, and suggested we come and have dinner for my birthday. I wish I hadn't waited so long! Trish, our server, knows her stuff! Excellent service, and menu knowledge. All of the staff was very pleasant, and hospitable. The food was amazing. Do not leave without trying the chocolate decadence cake!
The food and ambiance was amazing! Service was very friendly, but not the best service I've ever had (waitress didn't seem very on top of things but was a very kind woman!) Can't wait to get back again.
Best steak salad in Wenatchee. Great desserts, french fries...everything is good. Never had a bad meal here!
A local Winery Restaurant that we enjoy frequently
Enjoyed a delicious dinner while in Wenatchee for business. The wine choices were excellent. I also enjoyed the musical entertainment.
The lamb with risotto was great!
This was our third time eating at the Chateau Grill, but sadly, not the best. The food was way overseasoned and the portion sizes uneven. One of us got a huge piece of steak, another had a small one. On the bright side, the music entertainment was awesome, so we enjoyed the evening, but declined to take home the (costly) leftovers. Oddly enough, the waitress didn't ask why, just mentioned that the chef was not working that night. A restaurant of their reputation should be consistent.
I booked through open table and they had no record of our reservation. They were able to seat us on time, but it could have been a problem.
Excellent food and presentation. The history of the building is interesting.
Great food, but very loud, especially with the jazz band playing. Would prefer music to be more in the background. Hard to have a conversation.
Go on a Friday/Saturday when the guitarist/singer is there. He makes the evening very special. Food is great, service impeccable, entertainment is always enjoyable, and great wine! What more could you ask for? It is one of my favorite evenings out.
Wonderful food. Sharable portions. Great staff and entertainmentS
Our dinner last Friday evening was fantastic! My husband had the lamb and I had the steelhead - an enormous portion served on a cedar plank. Both meals were delicious. To accompany the meal, we selected the 2012 Tempranillo which was especially smoky. The wine was so good that we also purchased a bottle to take home. Additionally, the entertainment was lovely. Charlie is a talented musician and I hope he'll be there the next time we're in Wenatchee.
Good food and very attentive staff.
Atmosphere was great, but the food was a disappointment. After reading other reviews, I was excited to try a restaurant in Wenatchee with good food. Apparently, I need to keep looking. The calamari appetizer was good, but most of our main course dishes were lukewarm and not very flavorful. Oh, the wine was pleasant too. Overall, nowhere near as good as most nicer restaurants in Seattle.
While living in or visiting Wenatchee this is a must stop. Great menu, great food.
Wenatchee is blessed to have so many good restaurants but this one is certainly
at the top of my list.
By far and away the best restaurant in the Wenatchee area. Beautiful restaurant/winery, it creates the perfect mood for an incredible meal. The glitter topped desserts are not to be missed. Love love this place..
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Truly enjoyed the music and quiet atmosphere. Very friendly staff.
