   Staff were lovely, our fish and chips were great, nice crushed peas. We appreciated the complimentary sparkling water. Good to know we can eat at the Charlton on a Sunday evening.

   We had simple food, a starter of venison scotch egg, very tasty. For the main course I had a cheeseburger with skin on fries and my wife had fish and chips. It’s impressive how they can make mundane food taste so good. The service was good, everyone was friendly and helpful and it was a reasonable price, you pay nearly as much for fish and chips in a chippy.

   We travelled down from Manchester and the journey was well worthwhile. Excellent food and excellent, friendly service. Very competitive pricing. We had lunch on this occasion. Next time we shall aim to stay overnight and have dinner instead and enjoy Ludlow itself.

   We had a super experience at the Charlton Arms. The car park is spacious & we could park & enjoy a walk before our meal. The staff are ultra helpful & really friendly. The food was delicious & arrived promptly. Eating in the glass dining area overlooking the river & bridge while we watched a Heron fishing. The meal & drinks are very reasonably priced & of the highest quality. We will definitely return. Thankyou.

   As always, the food and service were excellent and the menu gives a variety of choices. The setting overlooking the river is lovely.

   We enjoyed a lovely Bank Holiday lunch at The Charlton Arms. Sat overlooking the river we can honestly say every mouthful of the food we ordered was a delight! Big congratulations to the Chef and his team including the waiting staff who were great. We will be back !

    Really lovely food , and great staff but the table we were given was between areas and had a high number of staff and customers constantly passing which affected the enjoyment as it was noisy and distracting.Would happily return but would make sure that the table we accepted was positioned in a better place.
