Steaks were brutally under seasoned and lacked flavor. We both had the Bone-In New York, medium rare. One steak was medium rare the other medium to medium well. We had a side of Brussels Sprouts, they too had no seasoning and were extremely bland and almost raw. Even the complimentary butter-garlic sauce had no flavor and zero seasoning. First time to the Charcoal Room and most likely the last.
Service was good. Server was attentive and busser's were friendly, professional and did a great job!
My wife and I regularly visit the Charcoal Room. We love the great food and service we receive when we visit. It is close to our home and the quality of food and service is always impressive.
Been here many times and this place is going downhill!! Scallops were tough and over cooked. Filet was dry, perhaps because they gave me an end piece. Lobster tail was excellent. Service was just ok. She had zero personality which was awkward. Took about 20 minutes to get our check while sitting with dirty plates in front of us.! She seems to be one of those servers who has the busser do everything for her! With so many more places to eat in Centennial Hills now, don’t think we will be back. Disappointing.
Service was outstanding she is an amazing server ! Meesha !
The scallops were tough and fishy. The mashed potatoes had the texture of glue. The service was very slow.
The food is awesome.. We all love the filet it melts in your mouth and you dont need to season as it is perfect the way it comes...
Enjoyed a very good meal. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our dinners at Charcoal Room are always prepared perfectly and flavorful.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great service (thanks Diane), food excellent as always.
We go to the Charcoal room several times per year. Food is usually very good. Service ranges from fair to very good. We had the 40 Oz prime rib for two with 2 sides special and it was an excellent choice.
The venue has nice ambiance and friendly staff but the food was disappointing. My Caesar salad was discribed as having shaved Parmesan and rosemary croutons but it was the stuff you get at any mediocre buffet. I pushed it aside and it was picked up without a question as to why it only had a bite taken out. My husband’s lobster bisque tasted exactly like clam chowder and had only 2 tiny pieces of lobster (and might have even been shrimp). His linguine and clams had big chunks of salad tomatoes. My prime rib was fine, but nothing stand out. Our cocktails were pricey, too. I would not go here again.
The food is always great, the service just as good. I know I can get almost anything off the menu and it will be good. Our go to for special occasions and date nights.
Consistent food and service quality and a menu that offers outstanding variety... although, I would like to find halibut...
Me and my fiance enjoyed our food it was delicious, the environment was calm and friendly. We will be going again...thank you for such a great service
Valentine's Day evening for 2 in a booth:
BAR - Excellent service. Tonic was flat. Bartender knew this and added club soda to add fiz. She said she has to go to the 2nd floor to get fresh tonic. The bar was not that crowded yet. So we got a vodka-tonic-club soda instead of a vodka-tonic. Disappointing for the Charcoal Room.
DINNER - Excellent food. Service was slow even for Valentine's Day evening. After the waitress apologized for the wait due to kitchen being backed up, then asked us if we wanted anything. So, I asked for another beer since we had to wait some more. Shortly after receiving the beer, the food came. I was surprised that I was charged for the 2nd beer. Disappointing for the Charcoal Room.
SUMMARY - We come to the Charcoal Room 1 or 2 times per year for special occasions. On the whole, we had a very nice time. The issues mentioned above were surprising for the Charcoal Room when thinking back now while completing the survey. But not bad enough to spoil our evening. Try to do better next time. We will return.
The food was very good. Service was good until they ordered the wrong special. Waited about 1 hour for the right food to be made. They did apologize many times. It would have been nice to have taken a little off of the bill for waiting so long. Overall it was nice.
Great service but the food was not so good.
If yo go don't get anything but steak.
Excellent food. No complaints at all. Service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. Servers were great. Wanted for nothing. Very nice night out for two locals. Close to home. Will be back more frequently.
We come here all the time . Has the worse server this time . She was rude slow and just plain awful
The food was so so. The creamed spinach was stringy and we really could not eat it. Told the server but due to the $25 off coupon we couldn't have it taken off the bill as it would not meet the minimum total. We won't be back anytime soon as it was a disappointment for our special occasion.
Never disappointed at the charcoal room
Always good. Come alot and never disappointed. Would highly recommend.
Our server Ralph was the worst servers we have ever had at what was one of my fav restaurants in Las Vegas .
My prime rib was ridiculously undercooked, and my friends filet mignon was charred beyond belief.
It's really too bad that nobody cares about this restaurant has gone downhill so quickly.
Service was very good. Very attentive to make sure everything was alright with the meal.
The Charcoal Room is always special. I highly recommend the grapefruit martini (off menu)! The warm raisin walnut bread starts a memorable meal-everything made here is high quality and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend!
Been here before for a birthday food was very good. This time lobster tail over cook and the king crab was cold at the ends of the legs. Disappointed in the food but the service was good will try again some other time in the future.
The food was amazing! The young lady singing was phenomenal. My only complaints are the smokey environment, I didn’t think a place of that caliber would be so smoke filled, obviously I’m a non smoker. And for the price, the service wasn’t what I thought it would be. We were served 1 glass of water (that’s all we had to drink) with no ice until we were finished with our meals, then right before we left, our glasses were filled. The “fixings” for my baked potato didn’t come until I had finished half of my meal. A good friend recommended this restaurant and eats there frequently and I can kind of see why, but just not sure. Sorry, just being honest.
Overall it was a nice time and the live music was a nice addition. The meal was pretty good with these exceptions: the petit filet was one of the smallest I've seen and somewhat dry with a sauce. The mashed potatoes however were a very strange consistency with an odd sheen to them and not very good. Both the French onion soup and gnocchi were quite good but SO hot they burned my tongue and I had to wait for them to cool. Turn down the simmer level kitchen staff! Ok, not great!
As always, Kevin topped off a very nice night. Service continues to be the high point of our visits. Thanks Kevin, and crew.
Excellent Meal! Serve e was second to none! Friendly, polite and most important Clean!
Steaks are great. So far I've enjoyed the ribeye, porterhouse, and New York prime all medium rare and have never been disappointed. The servers and bussers takes care of you, and takes your experience to the next level. A must try.
We selected this establishment as it was proximal to our New Year's Eve event. We had reservations but needed to wait in the casino area approximately 20 minutes which I found a bit awkward.
We ordered a shrimp cocktail which was fair (small shrimp and lack luster cocktail sauce). The nutty bread offering that came prior to the meal was delicious! We both ordered prime rib which was good. We found the mashed potatoes and cream cor to be somewhat bland.
Our service was great. While the meal was good, it was not anything that would pull us across town for.
Kevin and the staff where excellent as usual
Wonderful food, enjoyable atmosphere and great service.
Did not recognize
Ordered a filet mignon it is was the size of an overgrown walnut. I checked with the server and manager to verify that it was not the petite fillet mignon. If my steak was regular sized, I would hate to see the petite. Would probably look about the size of a pecan shell. Ordered it med rare and it arrived extremely rare. Steak had the taste of being prior cooked and them thrown on the grill to add some grill marks to it. Very dissatisfied with this meal. In all fairness, I've eaten here many times and have always had a great meal. I've eaten the filet before and it truly was not what I received in prior visits.
It was just ok. Noisy. Service was mediocre. Nothing special, not a do again.
Food and service was very good. Wasn’t a fan of the singer as it was louder than I would have liked.
We use open table to book reservations at the Charcoal Room. The nice thing about open table is that I can put my reservation in thru my cell phone and be in and ordering drinks and fine food, just by walking in. They also keep notes on my open table reservations and know that we prefer a booth upon our visits. Friendly, efficient staff from the greeters to the bussers. A hidden gem of a fine restaurant on the NW side of town. Will be back for sure.
Our party of four enjoyed a wonderful surf and turf dinner with all of our meals cooked exactly as requested. The sides that we ordered were generous enough to share. The wine selection by the glass (as I was the only one drinking) was adequate enough to satisfy me. However, when it came to the carrot cake, it was awful. It was so dry that after the first bite I determined it wasn't worth eating. I was promptly offered anything else that I wanted to replace it but, I declined. I was really full enough. I was not charged for the cake. Our waitress was wonderful. I believe her name was Misa?? She was attentive without hovering.
