We went on a Wednesday, Colby was our server and was very attentive. He scored a $25 tip because of his continued desire to keep our drinks full, answered all the questions we had and gave us an insight on the entire Cellar Restaurant.
Very good food. I had the filet & he had the lamb. Nice wine list. They have a few healthier options which is nice to see. Service was not good but that’s not because our server wasn’t trying he’s just lacking in skill. The little details, knowing when to remove our plates & clear, forgetting to bring the salad out, knowing how to space the four course meal out, we had to ask for steak knifes, not even the runner dropped them off with entree & didn’t know the position of our food. It’s in the details but he was trying.
Do not sit by the front door on a cold night because there is a wicked breeze not sure if it needs to be fix.
We will be back, so far the food was yummy.

Gave eaten there several times, and we are always amazed with the food, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. We love eating there.
Overall experience was very good, food and overall ambiance we up to expectations. While the service was good it wasn't exceptional and food delivery was "abrupt. As i have eaten at the Cellar many times i can say that the service level has slipped which has detracted from my review ratings.

I knew we were in trouble when the host insisted on seating my trophy girlfriend and I next to the kitchen, even though there were several booths available. When the waiter arrived we begged him to move us to one. He obliged. The waiter was nice enough but clearly punching above his weight as he was not "fine dining" qualified. For this I fault management for not providing proper training and education. But it wasn't just the waiter. The plate delivery girl insisted on serving the male his meal first before that of his date. The first thing a food server is ever taught is that ladies at a table are always served before the gentlemen. The food itself was not hot. My pork chop was tough and plopped on top of tepid mashed sweet potatoes. When I went to saw through the chop the over salted mashed potato squished out allover the place. My girlfriend's lobster thing was tasty, but again not served piping hot. Desert was a chocolate pastry that was not prepared to order but possibly made that morning. Since the only reservation we could get on Saint Valentine's day was 10pm one can only imagine what a cold, greasy, hard thing they presented before us. The table sconce that was supposed to provide atmospheric mood lighting was so bright I felt I was being interrogated. I eventually draped my napkin over it. The waiter saw this but said nothing and did not offer bring me another napkin as a replacement. In fact, after the plates were delivered by the runner girl he did not check to see if our meals were satisfactory. He did not show up until it was time for check. A proper waiter would have checked on us immediately after the first or second bite. The Cellar was kind enough to discount our bill by seven and a half dollars for the tepid entrée, but at $250.00 for the evening I cant recommend dining here until they show remarkable improvement.
The food had great flavor and our server was great. The piano playing made the atmosphere nice.
A fixed menu on Valentine's day, without any options for dietary restrictions. Everything had mushrooms and dairy, being pescaterians the only option was "lobster" pot pie. I normally love this place, however they fell short of the mark and two meals and two glasses of wine came to over $200. The server should have noticed something was off since we didn't take more than a bite or two from each course. Other than that, I recommend the cellar and bays when they have their regular menu.
The Cellar is one of the best restaurants in the Newnan area; I go there frequently. They have an innovative chef, an inspired cocktail menu, a pretty good beer and wine list, and generally good service. Much of the time there is live music and a choice of indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) seating.
We went for Valentine's Day and had the special dinner. Overall food was good but not great. The lobster in crust was basically a lobster pot pie. I had almost no lobster meat in my serving. The pear salad was great and the mushroom bisque very good. I found the cheese/mushroom appetizer heavy as well as the fried hazelnut ravioli for dessert. I know this is a local restaurant but they are charging Atlanta prices. We are use to something more for 75 dollars per person. Perhaps a rose on the table? Service was very good and we enjoyed the piano music. Our meal on New Year's Eve was terrific and this was much less memorable.
My wife and I have made The Cellar in Newnan our place to celebrate the milestones in our lives together. The service is excellent and the food is fantastic. We have eaten in many different places and we can honestly say we enjoyed The Cellar as much, if not more, than most places we’ve eaten. We are not big on flash and we always prefer a quiet table tucked away so we can enjoy each other’s company. The Cellar meets our expectations to a “T”.......

A charming and unexpected find in Newnan, GA.
The restaurant had a nice ambiance and service was outstanding. Our waiter, Reggie, was spot on in his service and very engaging.
I very much enjoyed the Crab and Artichoke Salmon. The risotto was perfectly prepared.
My friend had the Filet and was very pleased as it was flavorful and perfectly cooked per her order.
Next time I pass through Newnan, I will definitely return.

The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. I had the salmon with a breaded crab topping and an artichoke, lemon, and caper sauce. It was heaven on a plate. Every bite was special. My spouse had the ribeye which was also outstanding. We arrived around 5:30 and the restaurant was quiet except for soft music playing in the background. Loved the peacefulness. Our complements to the chef! He really knows how to combine ingredients in a dish for the most enjoyable and flavorful experience. We WILL be back and I'm counting the days until our next visit. Thank you for a great dining experience.
A nice change from your average Newnan restaurant. The atmosphere is more upscale and the intimate. Not a large menu selection but there was something that each of us enjoyed.
Never got our side salads. Told than in them early on, and he brought one out when we were close to being done with the meal and brought mine out after I was done with all my meal. Very expensive meal to not get your food.
My boyfriend did not get what he ordered so he was disappointed. The lobster bisque however was so good I ordered a serving to take home. Parking is tricky if you go during the day. Also there was no live band as advertised.

I am a 18 year old from Illinois and wanted to take my girlfriend of 6 months to eat at the best restaurant in town and it met all of our expectations the food was amazing.
The staff was very accommodating but the food was average at best. My wife was served her salad with no dressing and the lamb I ordered was very tough and the sauce was more like gravy than a demi texture.
Service was great but the menu was different then what was posted and we went there specifically for the exotic menu that was listed on the website, so that was a big disappointment. If the menu changes that drastically it should be updated online otherwise it is very misleading.

Seated right away. Staff nice. Server took a while to come over. Also took a while to come back and take our order. Food was good but very high priced for what we received.
The food was spectacular the service was good but the restaurant front windows took away from the atmosphere and made you feel like you were in a waffle house the pictures on the Internet give it an old town old Time Tavern feel but when you get there that’s not what it is. Really could be an amazing place to dine. The menu prices were decent
Perfect for a quiet lunch - slow day and the food and service were super.
We made our reservation via Open Table the day before Thanksgiving. We did not know but were scheduled to be seated outside the restaurant in the Bay side. This was our first time at the Cellar and really wanted to be seated inside the main restaurant. The hostess was able to get us a booth inside. The waitress Katherine was great and the food outstanding. This Thanksgiving feast and that’s just what it was a FEAST was wonderful!! There was such a great selection and all you could eat. We had heard so many good things about the Cellar and it sure lived up to its reputation!! We will be back!!!

The food and service was outstanding. Dishes where refilled quickly. There was truly more food then the 3 of us could eat. The doggie bag was a bonus.
I really enjoyed Thanksgiving at the Cellar. The food was better than expected and the staff was great. I even like the rock music for lunch even though some may not lol. We were in the outside area part not the fancy area. I would go again and recommend to anyone.
When I made reservations for the Cellar...they were transferred over to the Bays...I was not told this until we arrived and found out that the Cellar was closed! Obviously, the Bays is open during the afternoon and the Cellar is only open at night. My reservation had printed on it that our place was the Cellar. We were quite disappointed with the food. Our waitress was fine. We will not be back and we will express our experience to our friends who wanted our feedback.
It was our first time at the Cellar and we were very impressed.Beginning with the friendly staff and the nice layout. We both had the lobster bisque and we agreed it was the best ever.As for the main course my friend had the filet and I had the lamb chops and both dishes were perfectly prepared and very tasty,. I will tell my friends about this place
The tuna was cooked perfect and very flavorful!! The filet was tender and juciey. The service was excellent
