In 1969, artistic craftsmen of Disneyland fame created a romantic rendezvous in the cellar of the old California Hotel. The Cellar is the perfect setting for an intimate and romantic evening of fine dining. Patrons will find themselves enjoying fine French cuisine while comfortably seated in soft velvet-backed chairs upholstered in rich mellow leather and surrounded by a dimly lit interior. Intimate and cozy, the dining room is elegant amid structured arches and cave-like walls, decorated with wine casks and silver lanterns. Culinary excellence abounds with only the finest and freshest foods prepared in a lighter version of classical French cuisine, and finely crafted cocktails which set a benchmark for all of Southern California!

Outstanding venue!!! Staff was on point with the professionalism and was very friendly which added so much to our first experience here at this establishment. The food was superb. Not for a cheap date. If you bring your lady/gentlemen here they better be special because the ambiance is perfect to set the mood and have great conversation. Very cozy and intimate. If you live in Fullerton and haven’t been here, you need to make your reservation and NOW!!!!!

Special Valentine’s Day menu was disappointing to say the least.
They should stay with their usual menu which is so much better.
We’ll return to the Cellar again but never during the week of Valentine’s Day.

Thanks to Adrian and the team at "The Cellar." Many years had passed since I had come here with our Meetup Group, friends and future amazing treasured friends/family in my life. Appreciate the time, care and attention to detail on a special occasion at "The Cellar." Adrian was superb in anticipating needs, listening and satisfying the diverse needs of our group (s). Red Roses on the table brought elegance to the dining room. Thanks.

Food was only OK. Don't know what they did to the potatoes. Waiter was forced-friendly. My wife had a Jack and soda; $12 for the Jack and $1 for the soda??
They charge too much for what you get.

Extraordinary dinner.! Luis was our server and was extremely attentive without being hovering. Loved the starters; lobster bisque and escargot. Bisque was piping hot and creamy while escargot was served in a small copper pot with tender mushrooms and various breads.
Wine list was extensive and something for every price point. The dinner was generously portioned, we had the lamb shank and lobster thermidor. Finished with a shared soufflé with grand marnier sauce.

The food and service were amazing. Generous portions and the most delicious desserts. Loved the staff and their thoughtful recommendations. Thank you for making our birthday celebration extra special and memorable.

A good, calm, classy type atmosphere.
You can tell that the food and drinks were made with passion.
Our server knew the right amount of time to be friendly and talk but would mostly leave you be to enjoy your cocktails and food. The server always had a close eye on things so she wouldn't be a bother to your table.

The food and atmosphere were very good. Seemed like the wait staff was a little slow. The price of the meal was considerably higher than what was listed on their web site. However I would go there again for a special occasion.

The ambience will bring you back. Food/price most likely will not. Service was fine especially in the bar area with the cocktails a standout. Happy hour every day from 5-7 in this area only.

As always, The Cellar was perfect for an evening out. While items came out a bit more quickly than usual, (entree came out before appetizers were cleared) we did not feel rushed. The food is always solid, and the lobster bisque is to die for. They have an extensive Whisky list that has a global focus, and cocktails are always well made. We will be back whenever the opportunity allows!

This was an anniversary dinner and we got there early to have a celebratory drink. The drink menu was outstanding, and we both ordered something a bit out of our comfort zone. We were not disappointed!! We ordered Chateaubriand and Salmon, both were excellent. The decor is unique and feels like you're actually in an underground wine cellar. The negative to the decor is that everything echoes and it was quite loud. We could very easily hear other conversations. Otherwise, it was a perfect place to celebrate!

We made a reservation for 9pm, got there on time and waited for someone to take care of us. We didn't get a table 15-20mins after. A lady staff apologized that's it's a Friday night and some people are lingering around. Understandable. We got seated and Andrew, our server was very welcoming& made us forget about how much we waited . He was very knowledgeable of the restaurant and what they're serving for the night from drinks to desserts. Since it's our first time, he recommended some of his personal favorites and we ordered the same exact thing. The escargot was served untraditionally (unshelled) but it wow'd both my bf and I with the sauce they made it with. We can't stop dipping our bread in it. I'm a lamb person myself and they cooked the lamb perfectly the way I wanted it to be. He suggested to try the hot chocolate soufflé with eggnog anglaise. I'm not a fan of chocolate or eggnog at all but with those 2 combined, it's glorious! I'm glad I tried it and my boyfriend was so grateful I took him to The Cellar for his birthday. It was definitely a lovely night! Thank you!

I love this place, the food and service are always great. Dining at The Cellar always feels like you're being transported back in time and that why I'm always sad to leave. I can't say enough good things about this place and I always recommend it to everyone I know.

Our Waiter was the absolute unsensitive guy, they have this thing about wanting to speak like french people, with the accent, the gestures.....all worng, my first language is french and we dont act like wanna bees.... French is about the special food, the special sauce, and thats it !!!!
If i go there and i spend on 3 couples 600 dol, the food better be FRENCH !!!!! and not wanna be french !!!!!! our waiter was oh man a disaster !!!!!! Next visit would never be again to the cellar, just to a real french restaurant !!!!

Very unique atmosphere. Cozy and romantic. The food was excellent and the server was very attentive. Not inexpensive, but not overpriced either. A fair price for a high quality dining experience.
