I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and Our anniversary was the perfect time ! We were seated in the “grotto” area in a private quiet booth. The ambience was perfect. Our server , Roxy, was very attentive. We ordered the Chateaubriand for 2. It was absolutely wonderful… tender and cooked to perfection. It was Served with Bearnaise sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The only think I thought was not quite up to par was the French onion soup. It may have been because mine was a little burned in top. I would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. A very nice touch was the complimentary dessert for our anniversary.

Wonderful as usual. The Cellar reminds me of "Pirates of the Caribbean" but without the noise and crowds. It is peaceful, romantic with superb fine dining.

I requested a birthday candle for my mother’s birthday and they never brought out anything even after I requested they do when making the reservation. I said I would pay for any dessert they would bring out, that I just wanted to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. Never bright menus to the table, bisque was Luke warm, food priced for what you get (I eat at fine dining restaurants all over the OC, nothing was impressive) drinks, and food service was very slow. Wanted to put in a soufflé and server never came back to get the order. Just overall wouldn’t recommend or go back.

We went for Mother’s Day brunch. Time for a change since The Ranch didn’t have brunch this year. It was nice to try something new. Food was excellent. Service was good. Lighting was pretty dark. We weren’t the only ones with the smartphone handy flashlight on. 😀 will probably go again.

Asparagus was cooked perfectly as was the filet mignon the truffle mac and cheese and the souffle. 290 for 2 with a $70 tip. A bit on the pricey side, but when the mother of your 2 beautiful children is happy then what the f**k else matters.

Awesome place to have a nice sit down dinner. Food took a little long to come out and they apologized and covered some of our drinks to make up for it. Staff was very attentive and the food was delicious as well as the drinks. Definitely a place worth coming back to for any special occasion!

Pork was amazing. They were out of eggplant and that was the only available option that’s why I’d give it 4 stars. The restaurant is definitely not vegetarian or vegan friendly. Lobster bisque was heavenly. Soufflé was complimentary and was delicious. Will definitely come back again.

Very good drinks appetizers are to die for however main entrees don’t carry the same standards. Bone marrow is a must have will definitely return hope there is better options on entrees had steak for two medium rare ( fillet) came out well done besides that great experience

The service was absolutely excellent. Our waiter was on point. Unfortunately the cheese on my French onion soup was burned causing the entire dish to have a burnt taste. The pork chop was over cooked which made it tough and the risotto that came with it was bland. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the restaurant I just wish the food had been better.

Alex was a fantastic server as were all others helping him. He had a very large table that occupied him and we're very loud which definitely lessened the appeal of a date night ambiance. Food was good though seems heavy handed with salt.

The grilled fish and lobster soup were a bit salty. So if you like to eat your food blend. I would recommend mentioning it while ordering the food. The deserts were absolutely great that we preferred the dessert, over the actual entrée.

It's been a while since I've been able to step back and relax into the Cellar but I'm happy to say that the service and food has not skipped a beat since years past. The cocktails were excellent. The appetizers and main dish were phenomenal. The dessert which was the soufflé with Grand Marnier...exquisite. A gem in this city that you should not miss.

This was our first time dining at the Cellar, even though we passed by it for nearly 40 years. If only I could turn back time! Excellent dining experience!! Service and food were phenomenal. There's no other dining ambiance like it in all of Orange County.

Everything was wonderful. The only reason not for 5 stars is that the staircase is not well lit and my Mom fell. She is all right, but there should be more light. Food and drinks were great. Service was great as well.

Came here to celebrate my birthday. The server Alex was amazing. Food was the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Truffle max n cheese was fabulous. Bone Marrow great flavor wanted to order another one. Soufflé was perfect for dessert. Filet Mignon cooked to perfection.

My date and I ordered the ribeye, filet mignon, and truffle mac and cheese. The entrees were really good. The filet was very tender. The mac and cheese was so so to us. For dessert, we had the souffle which was pretty good but felt like it would have been perfect if they had ice cream to go with it because it was pretty sweet. Service was amazing!

This was the first time I was visiting with my fiancé with his recommendation and it was a wonderful experience. It definitely is a special and unique place to go. The atmosphere was so charming and very relaxing. It’s quite small but I definitely see this as being a yearly spot to celebrate special occasions. The food was so delicious and the service was amazing. This is a place you want to go if you want to enjoy each course according to your time. You can go through each course as slow or as quickly as you want. The menu is small but the options vary drastically. From an escargot appetizer to a traditional filet mignon. Whatever you decide you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend if you like fresh and unique cocktails with your meals. I could go on and on about this place. As a first time experience I would have to say it has definitely exceeded my expectations.

Food was served cold and the salinity level was high. Steaks were great but all other parts of the meal were poor value and served with an issue. Almost $20 appetizers were extremely underwhelming.
