Seeing as it was closed due to the pandemic we did not actually get to eat here. Being able to say we have a reservation at the cellar was amazing on its own. 11/10 would recommend
My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary and it was so beautiful and romantic. Due to Covid restrictions many nice restaurants have the dining experience in parking lots and personally, I feel it ruins the romance and not worth the price. The cellar has outdoor dining in the open quad area and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. It felt like we were vacationing elsewhere so I would definitely return!
Have the owner contact me (626) 347-8656. Things need to get better here.
We went Saturday night for my wife’s birthday along with another couple. The service was extremely slow, they were out of the bottle of wine we chose....and worst of all was the French onion soup. It is as clearly watered down so as to get them through the last night. After tasting that, we were not going to risk what the entrees might come out as. Asked the server for the check and left for restaurant across the street.
The Cellar is always a pleasure to go to. They always have great service, food and drinks. One of the best restaurants to go to for a anniversary, birthday or even just to relax and enjoy your a afternoon or night.
Best lobster bisque ever. Wonderful drinks and attentive service
Dinner was wonderful. The service was a little slow but it was Thanksgiving and we were not in a rush. Food was excellent. Plan on going back at Christmas. Our server Andrew was awesome.
Amazing thanksgiving lunch. Ambiance was great. Service excellent.
Food and drinks are always outstanding. I got the escargot, side of brussel sprouts, and french onion soup. All were delicious! At first we were sat on the outskirt table where it was cold and dark, shortly after we were moved closer to a heater without asking and were very pleased. I love a place that anticipates needs prior to me asking!
Lovely dinnner with great food. Good attention to COVID safe practices
Took my wife there for her birthday and was very disappointed with the service and over 6 minutes of wait time before someone came to our table which kind of killed the mood for the rest of the night. It didn't seem too busy at the time also. We were excited to eat here even though it was an outdoor setting. So after a great day we had, we ended up with a bad birthday night.
Amazing service during Covid. Waiter was amazing and knowledgeable. Glad to see there are still professionals doing their best during these hard times
The waiter was not attentive to guest seated on outer tables. Waited about 10 mins to be served and had to ask a host to be served. Food is great!
We chose that restaurant because of its menu ( online ). We were very disappointed to see that the menu had been highly reduced. I get that it is Covid time but a website update would avoid issues like that. Food was ok but not great. Service was ok but not great...
We were here for my birthday. It was an overall lovely experience. The food was great and our server Andrew was excellent. We love the beauty inside the Cellar but because of Covid we experienced their outside dining in the courtyard, which was spectacular.
Aileen was so gracious and awesome. She truly made the anniversary of my first date memorable.
First time there Took wife for b-day. The food was amazing. Our waitress, Ilene was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was laidback and the old jazz standards playing in the background was the icing on the cake. Cannot wait for an opportunity to take our closest friends there to share the experience.
Roxy our server was outstanding with recommendations on alcoholic beverages. The rest of the staff was amazing as well. The cellar has some of the best drinks I have ever had. I wish they had more cocktails on their menu. That wasn't an issue at all because the bartender was able to recreate some of the cocktails they had in their previous menu. I wish I lived closer so I could become a regular and keep having those delicious drinks!
The overall atmosphere of this restaurant was so romantic, it was the best place me and my boyfriend have been to for a date night! The service was amazing not to mention the food we ordered as well. We had the lobster bisque that I highly recommend everyone to try once you visit this beautiful place.
It was amazing, the food was delicious; melts in your mouth. Our waiter, Alex made sure we were taken care of. He was very attentive, made great suggestions and was very polite. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic.
Wonderful waiter provided the best customer service. Food was delicious but I wished that it was not indoors.
I did not have a pleasant experience. Overpriced food. Not tasteful. Drinks were good. But that was basically it. Was very disappointed. Service to get your food was absolutely slow.
The Cellar is a really nice place, definitely a good date spot.
Me and my wife checked this place out and was pleasantly surprised how great everything was. Food, service, and drinks were all top notch. Id highly recommend the Cellar to anyone looking for a peaceful quiet intimate dining experience.
Meal arrived cold. Bill was incorrect had to be corrected. Noise from bar up above could be heard... thumping/base sound. Drink was bad. All the food was overwhelmingly loaded with pepper. Steak was undercooked. Portion of steak was ridiculous for the price! Service was very slow. On a positive note, the Lobster Bisque soup was delicious! Should have just had that for dinner.
Best bread! The filet mignon meal for two was the best steak my partner and I have ever had.
The Cellar always delivers! Perfect food, perfect cocktails (did I mention the cocktails?!) and what a place! If you haven't tried it, GO! Make a reservation (it's easy), because seating is limited due to standard covid precautions.
Loved spending Halloween night at The Cellar. Would go again.
The portions were perfect and everything tasted amazing.
Our server was so sweet and kind.
The ambiance and date was great but the food vs price was definitely not worth it. The food had no flavor but the employees were all very lovely.
5 stars for a fantastic staff and ambiance, 1 star for food.
Great food, service and cocktails.
A wonderful place for our 10th wedding anniversary.
Me and my date had a blast here, great drinks, food and the service was awesome. It’s not cheap, everything adds up pretty fast but luckily my date paid for everything.
Everything was amazing! The food, the ambiance. Our server, Eileen was so fantastic! We are going to recommend to everything. Thank you for an amazing anniversary dinner
The Cellar is my new favorite restaurant. The ambiance is off the charts. The Disney employees that put this little underground place together in 1969, were, well, Disneyland experience motivated. The Lobster Bisque soup is the best soup I've ever tried, and I am over 70, so I have tried lots of different soups. The flavor, and the actual lobster pieces in the soup were great. The Filet Mignon I had was a 10 out of 10. I explained the way I wanted it cooked, and it arrived exactly as I requested, and it was as good as any I have ever had, and I have tried many steaks in 70 years! If you have never tried the Cellar, you should....
Birthday and 1 year anniversary of our first date. The cellar has such a special ambiance to it. This was our first date and my birthday and what a magnificent experience. The duck was amazing as was the salmon. The martinis with hand stuffed blue cheese olives are dangerously addictive. The cellar has become a regular treat for either of our birthdays and of course our anniversary.
Jason is an amazing bartender ! Very knowledgeable and attentive to detail definitely coming back
Food was amazing and staff were very kind and helpful. Will visit again.
What draws people to the cellar isn't necessarily the expensive, yet delicious, meals or the tasty drinks but the unique atmosphere of dinging below ground in a dimly lit romantic setting. We were very disappointed when we forced to sit outside in the Spanish plaza which is shared with other restaurants, and can hear the Spanish music mixed with the Cellars music. Our service also seemed to not be top notch which is expected with a $150+ meal for (2) people. Overall the food and drinks were nothing to complain about but not getting the full experience yet paying for the full experience seems cheapened. Perhaps an alternate menu for people sitting above ground may make up for the being inconvenienced and not getting the full experience that the Cellar is expected to offer. (To note this occurred on 10/24/2020 during Covid-19 restrictions but no notice was sent or given to me regarding that it would be outside seating which The Cellar has never offered in the past as previously noted the charm of the Cellar is the below ground romantic atmosphere not the shared Spanish plaza.)
It was wonderful! And it was so nice to eat outside. Our waiter Louis was truly amazing!
The Cellar never disappoints. Always pleasant and courteous staff, and wonderful food. It’s a little different these days with the pandemic, but still very enjoyable. We had our temperature taken and wore masks until we were seated. Our server was wonderful and our dinner delicious. We started with cocktails from the very talented bartender and then had lobster bisque, which is heavenly. We also had the cellar salad, and then on to the filet mignon and puff pastry salmon. We also took advantage of their Wine Wednesdays that have select wines for half the price. We topped it off with a chocolate soufflé. It was all very, very good.
