Love this restaurant. Have gone a number of times and never been disappointed. Lots of small plate selections with an excellent variety of flavors. I will keep going back!
Tapas menu was delicious.
Food was good but overpriced. Fish special was OK, but nothing special. Appetizers were tasty, but small. Not too loud - able to conduct an easy conversation.
This was a last minute decision after our Mother's Day brunch plans fell through. The environment was cozy and the touch of eclectic art throughout the interior created a modern vibe. The service was excellent and the menu items were well paired and made with fresh ingredients. I'd love to return with friends for an evening out.
It was my birthday and the Tapas were excellent and the risotto was great. Love there martinis
The Cellar never disappoints for any occasion. We celebrated a bachelorette and the staff was patient and accommodating with everyone in our group. The food and drinks were fantastic as always!
Love the food and everything on the menu, it is alway so hard to decide because I want it all😁
While we were parking We received a call from the restaurant while it was just 4 minutes past our reservation yet when we arrived we saw the restaurant was more than half empty.
Very pretty restaurant, costly entrees, we ordered the charcuterie board( skimpy), my husband ordered the chicken and waffles and loved it, I ordered the 4oz steak w shrimp and fries.. not bad I would never offer a 4 oz steak( where's the beef is more like it). The veggies were not tasty. We wrote on the Open Table reservation that it was a birthday celebration yet it was ignored and would have been nice for them to pay attention to- especially that the place was empty. We ordered the lava cake- not a good taste( not a gooey center) and the butter pecan ice cream was very good.
Everything was wonderful as always! The homemade gnocchi was phenomenal! The service was great! Love this place!
Fabulous wine selection. Loved how we could use the electronic wine app on the server iPad. Very cool that they had so many options for vegan and vegetarian cuisine. We chose to eat alit if small plates. The vegan risotto was creamy and hearty. The falafel was dry and hard. The fish tacos and Vegan potstickers were my favorite. Felt like we could have been in NYC. Crowd was nice definitely need a resi if your need to eat at 7 pm on a weekend.
I was looking for a great place to take my girl for her 25th birthday, I made reservations online and made a special request for a desert item that was vegan friendly. As we got into town we had realized we were about an hour early, I hoped online and changed the reservation time and they had no issues with the time change. We were seated in a nice booth in a quite location of the restruant, the server was vert poliet and well versed on the menu options available for vegans/vegetarians. The server was incredibly patient with us as we were deciding what to drink and had no issues changing a cocktail out for us when it wasn't what we expected! There was a wonderful atmosphere, even as the restaurant filled with patrons the volume level was never overbearing. Dinner was tough to choose from with so many different options available for specialty diets, which was wonderful as many restaurants do not. The cocktails were as delicious as they were strong, you get what you pay for. As the night was winding down my girl had excused herself to the restroom which gave the server a chance to give me options on a desert, OPTIONS!!! They decorated the plate beautifully with mango and dark chocolate which paired beautifully with the coconut tapioca and vegan ice cream. Overall one of the best dining experiences in the southern tier, please stop by and give them your business. Even if you stop for a drink, the options are more than accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
Love this restaurant! Fun and creative foods. I have been going here for several years and the food is always very good. Something for everyone and lots of shareable dishes.
My husband and I were visiting the area with a couple of our friends. We decided to try the Cellar for my birthday.
The environment was urban and lively, but not too loud. Perfect for us. We order the brussel sprouts and artichoke appetizers and we enjoyed both. Our entrees were the Kobe steak (4 oz), ramen, pad thai and scallops. I didn't care for the flavor of my Ramen, but it was beautifully presented and well prepared. Everyone else loved their entrees. My husband said it was the best steak he had.
We would definitely go again if we were in the area.
Lovely as always!
LOVE THIS PLACE! Chef is amazing and creative with local ingredients. Service us always good. Great charcuterie!!! Best restaurant in the area!
Outstanding tapas and half plates of delicious food that is fun to share and compare. Great wine list with good value choices.
Our server was very accomodating to one of our party’s allergies. The food was excellent and the service very fast. Beer choices were very interesting and tasty. A tad noisy probably due to the high ceilings, hard surfaces, but that did not interfere with our meal. We would definitely go back.
I would highly recommend for an excellent meal and phenomenal wine list. One if the absolute best in Corning and where I take my clients. Finished the meal with a 40 year port that capped the evening perfectly.
It was amazing! The service was on point. Our server was not pushy or bothersome, but we never wanted for anything. The menu had so many good choices it was hard to decide. It was hard weather to go with the many mouth watering tapas or a cheese plate and then an entree. We finally settled on the Kobe beef. It melted in your mouth and the organic vegetables paired perfectly. We look forward to many returns.
The duck fat fries were very nice, my husband is from Belgium and he really liked them. The beet tapas was good. The Seafood Tagine was excellent and the Seafood Provencal good. The bone in 70 day aged ribeye was difficult to cut with a steak knife which was disappointing. The Mexican Chocolate Molten Cake had good flavor but was spicy enough to be overpowering even with the ice cream, 15 minutes later it still had residual heat on the tongue. It was more about the heat than accenting the chocolate. Over all the meal was more hype than substance. The service is impeccable and for a brief cocktail and bite I would recommend it. However our party of four did not feel as though we would return.
What a great experience. The ambiance was very cool and our waiter Emmitt was amazing. Emmit was vey knowledge, attentive, and had great recommendations. The food was delicious which contributed to an overall 5 star experience.
We LOVE The Cellar! We have been happy with it every time we go. The only thing that keeps us from going more often is the prices. But, one has to take into account that they serve healthy and local when they can. Which is why we do choose The Cellar. And the food is SO good!!!
We had an amazing experience last night. The food was excellent and the service superb. Highly recommend
The Cellar is the best restaurant on Market Street. The fresh ingredients, the menu selection, the wine list and cocktails are all outstanding. The ambience is trendy, yet intimate. It offers something for every age group. I highly recommend the Cellar!
Good food, great craft beer selection. Service is wonderful. We have never had a bad experience here.
Greatest place downtowns
Great location and service
The food needed more flavor. The descriptions were better than the end product
The only thing we and our friends would suggest is to fill the cocktails up a bit more. That's it. It's an awesome place!!
We had a nice anniversary dinner at The Cellar where we enjoyed drinks and a variety of tapas in the cozy atmosphere. The four tapas we ordered were just the right amount of food. The poutine and jerk chicken skewers were fabulous! The masa tortillas were just ok (definitely wouldn’t order them again). All in all, The Cellar is a nice restaurant with a fun and adventurous menu that would certainly gain our business a second time.
As always, tasty and creative food, wonderful service, lively atmosphere. Can't wait to return!
Great spot for a group get together! They were able to accommodate a reservation for 8 with no issues. We met for drinks first in the bar (great beer list)and once seated we did a number of appetizers (poutine is AMAZING) and various small plates and entrees. We’d highly recommend!!!
The food & ambiance of The Cellar for our most recent meal was spectacular. I had a vendor in from out of town that wanted to have dinner and The Cellar was the first place I thought of. The Tapas we chose came out perfect and the entrees we chose we on point. Beer & spirits selection was great, but the wine pad technology is what really makes this place shine. I highly recommend The Cellar for your next meal, it is always my go to place!
Love The Kobe Beef and Duck Fries!
Fantastic spinach and artichoke dip for an app.
Sugar plum dessert- tasted like Christmas
Perfect date night
We all had a great time....great service...good food...lively waiter...
My friends and I, a party of 7, were seated promptly on a busy Friday night. We enjoyed the ambiance and the food at The Cellar. The restaurant was walking distance from our hotel, the Radisson.
Outstanding restaurant, always deliveres above expectations
We were very impressed with the quality and creativity of the food here. The menu is huge and so many things sounded good that it was hard to choose. We did tapas and chose 5 dishes for 2 of us. This turned out to be more food than we could eat (portions are generous) but we did not mind leftovers. Our favorite dish was the chi chi fries followed by the beef bulgogi tacos. Service was good on a busy Saturday night. Highly recommend this place if you are in Corning, feels like big city dining.
I ordered the Tajeen and it was the best meal that I have had in a while. The spices were delicious and all the ingredients went together with perfect synergy. The slider app was just ok. My husband enjoyed his entre, though I can't remember what he ordered. I don't like ordering wine by the glass because it is often not stored correctly. I ordered a glass of Cote de Rhone and it was was stale. For a wine bar, they should know to store opened bottles better.
The food wasn’t as good as normal. Salad portion was much smaller than usual. Waitress was great. Bruschetta didn’t taste very good this time.
First off, I want to state that we love the Cellar. The ambience and food were very good.
However, our waitress was not familiar enough with wines to make a recommendation given my choice of food nor did she seek any advice from those wait-staff or bar-staff who might.
Additionally, some of the sauce was dropped on the table by the server without coming back to clean the table off and the table was left that way throughout our entire meal. Additionally, our empty water glasses were never refilled.
