We were very impressed with the quality and creativity of the food here. The menu is huge and so many things sounded good that it was hard to choose. We did tapas and chose 5 dishes for 2 of us. This turned out to be more food than we could eat (portions are generous) but we did not mind leftovers. Our favorite dish was the chi chi fries followed by the beef bulgogi tacos. Service was good on a busy Saturday night. Highly recommend this place if you are in Corning, feels like big city dining.

I ordered the Tajeen and it was the best meal that I have had in a while. The spices were delicious and all the ingredients went together with perfect synergy. The slider app was just ok. My husband enjoyed his entre, though I can't remember what he ordered. I don't like ordering wine by the glass because it is often not stored correctly. I ordered a glass of Cote de Rhone and it was was stale. For a wine bar, they should know to store opened bottles better.

The food wasn’t as good as normal. Salad portion was much smaller than usual. Waitress was great. Bruschetta didn’t taste very good this time.

First off, I want to state that we love the Cellar. The ambience and food were very good.

However, our waitress was not familiar enough with wines to make a recommendation given my choice of food nor did she seek any advice from those wait-staff or bar-staff who might.

Additionally, some of the sauce was dropped on the table by the server without coming back to clean the table off and the table was left that way throughout our entire meal. Additionally, our empty water glasses were never refilled.

The food was excellent. We started with a number of Tapas, including the best pot stickers I have eaten, excellent lamb lollipops and a delicious tempura salmon sushi roll. The absolute best though was the chicken and waffles. Excellent all around.

Fantastic. What a gem. I’m so happy that we found this place. The food was excellent and so creative. Beer and wine offerings were just perfect. Our server, (sorry, I forgot his name. Red Mohawk) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed. We will be back the next time we’re in town. Which brings me to my only complaint, we live on Long Island. :(

Had dinner with 3 family members on a Monday night. The appetizers of lamb lollipops, poutine, mussels, and hummus were all excellent. Entrees included pumpkin ravioli, chicken & waffles, and a charcuterie plate. All were very tasty. Far more interesting/delicious dining experience than all the other restaurants I have tried on Market Street.

The Cellar is our new favorite place for post-race food. Of course we're hungry, but we can also find something that is not only satisfying, but also flavorful and unique without being heavy. I love that we have half or full options on the menu, and I also love the variety of appetizers -- there's something for everybody.

It took a little longer than average to receive our food, but everything was excellent. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was able to substitute poached chicken in place of fried. My companions ordered the duck and the sea scallops, which were also excellent.

Macncheese was cold for 2 out of 3 of us. Waitress never came back after we got our food to check. One guest specifically asked if she'd be able to order something else if the food came out and it wasn't enough (she ordered from the tapas menu) and the waitress didn't ask if she needed something else. Check took a while.

Start to finish a great experience. Showed up on a busy Saturday night the weekend of the Wineglass Marathon. We had reservations for 8pm and they were able to fit us in when we showed up early at 7pm. There was no waiting. Hostess was super polite. Even though the restaurant was completely full, the staff was attentive and helpful. Food was great. Restaurant was lively but not loud. Ordered a variety of Tapas plates (plates to share). It was all good. Great beer selection. Overall, just a really nice dining experience.

Busy night at the Cellar...waiter was working hard and made the minimum number of required visits to our table which made it hard to get more water. Both appetizers were adequate and one entree was alright, but the pork ramen noodles dish was terrible. We were an Asian and a person who lived in Asia for many years who have had a lot of ramen....this was awful.
Have had better experiences at the Cellar in the past.

Most notable is locally sourced ingredients, pasture raised, organic when possible... AND, very creative combining of flavors through herbs, spices, sprouts, glazes, sauces, etc, for unexpected, yet successful results... Because of the variety, and being our first experience, my wife and I, ordered only Tapas, making the entire meal... What better way to explore their offerings in one visit! So pleasantly surprised that out of 8 different orders, 7 were very good to excellent, and one was good... That's only about a third of Tapas on menu. We were so satiated, wife who loves Brule's couldn't try the Lavender Brule... Not to worry, The Cellar is now on the top of our restaurant list to explore and enjoy the rest of their creative and excellently executed menu. It should also be mentioned that I am from San Francisco, and in my 30 years there, as an executive of a business, having entertained clients at the very best restaurants, as well as having taken Chef classes at the Calif. Culinary Academy, I am not one who is easily impressed.

Unfortunately it was not suited to the people I brought to the restaurant. The menu was limited. Some staple choices added in would have been appreciated. Also four of us were put in a booth and it was very tight. Booths are never my favourite unless for two.
Would not go back on our next visit.
