Inspired by an era of time that’s long past, the underground space built originally in 1912, naturally has a speakeasy, prohibition-era feel with its original brick walls and exposed ceiling joists. Our reservation for 4 was at 6:45pm, we ordered our food around 7-7:15pm, yet we didn’t receive our meal til 9pm. The appetizer had to be sent back. (Smoked salmon flatbread.. no taste of smoke tasted raw) The shrimp & grits tasted like chili was poured on top instead of their normal savory sauce. The short ribs were extremely salty. It wasn’t our first time visiting The Cellar so we were completely surprised at how poor the service was and embarrassed that we invited our guests to come visit there for their first time.

This was an amazing restaurant from the minute we walked in, until we left! The ambience was great, the server was amazing and the food was superb! This was one of my favorite meals that I have had in a while! We even met some awesome people that were also dining at the same time as us. I give this place 5 stars!!!!

Ribeye was thin and average in taste. The filet was seasoned well but came out rare instead of medium rare. The chairs wobbled and we were cramped too close to other tables. We asked to be moved but were told the other tables were reserved. Just nothing special about the experience.

Excellent food, fantastic service in a unique setting. Highly recommend making a booking as it was super busy, even on a Sunday night. I was a single business traveler dining on my own, but within minutes of arriving the bartender had a group of us interacting and socializing with great cocktails and even better food.

Awesome "speak easy" vibe underneath the normal street level bar set up. Perfect location to meet friends, try new cocktails and share plates of unique eats. The Kansas City steak was spot on seasoned and seared!

We found The Cellar at Duckworth’s while Charlotte for a concert. From the time we walked down stairs to the time left was absolutely amazing. Me and my wife enjoyed every aspect. Our server, Jenna had a great personality and very knowledgeable about the restaurant, food and drinks. She asked our first names when we sat and addressed us that way through our experience. We had the short rib dumplings, and my wife had the halibut (fish of the day) and I had the filet, finished with the berry dumplings.. every bite was fantastic. Next time we are in Charlotte, we will absolutely be back.

We had a lovely experience. My filet was one of the best I have ever had. It's a great venue for a small group as well as a great dinner option for a leisure dinner. Service was amazing as well.

Everything we chose from the menu was culinary brilliance. The flavors offered by the charcuterie selections danced in our mouths, a cavalcade of flavors never before experienced where after every bite you find yourself saying aloud: "oh my gosh, this is amazing!" Truly one of the best dinners of my life.

Jenna was the best waitress I have ever had in my entire life. She is incredible and made the entire experience 10000000x better. She should be a general manager or some position that's extremely high up in the management rolls.

Food and service were great and enjoyed the small and sharable plates. Lighting isn't great for seeing menus and noise level makes it difficult to hear soft-spoken servers. We found the cocktail prices a bit high compared to craft cocktails at other similar establishments. We understand labor and food costs have risen, but for the price, I feel like we should have had a five star meal without leaving hungry.

We went to The Cellar at Duckworth’s for our 2nd anniversary and it did not disappoint. Over the past few years this has become one of our favorite restaurants, and they deliver every single time. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is awesome, and the service is always the best. We have never had a bad experience dining here!

I visited for the 1st time for my daughter's birthday and the food and ambiance was amazing! There were 5 people in our party and 3 of us chose steak; 2 filet mignon and one ribeye and the other two ordered the shrimp and grits and burger. The steaks were phenomenal. If you have a bit of an appetite, I'd suggest getting something bigger than the filet mignon as it's only 8 oz. The ribeye had the perfect amount of flavor and size. The shrimp and grits are made with a dark sauce and tasted a bit different than the southern shrimp and grits I'm accustomed to, but it was still good. The steaks come with a small salad and the burger comes with fries. We choose the chargrilled oysters and the truffle Mac and cheese as sides. They were both great though I love oysters more raw. Overall, the food was great. It is a small venue and the atmosphere is dark with the only lights being candles for the most part. I wouldn't say it's the best steak I ever had but it's definitely in the Top 3. Expect to spend as steak is their specialty. The prices for our steaks were around $60 individually.

Great atmosphere and staff. Amazing libations! Food was very good and prices fair. Everything we had was worth the price of admission. If i could add some constructive criticism it would be that we only could get in by reservation at 4pm. We were going to a concert that didn't start till 8 so we had a lot of time to burn. We were the only people in the place for like an hour which was awkward. I feel like the could have made better use of all the open tables before reservations.

We go and visit our family in Charlotte, and we also go to Duckworth! Don't be surprised when you arrive and find a sports bar; go downstairs to the hidden jewel of a restaurant! The restaurant is cozy and is so romantic. The food is spectacular. You must have steak and fries! Shrimp and grits are to die for.

Jenna and Mark were PHENOMENAL! Tomahawk ribeye was perfect. Cocktails were excellent. Small dish Mac N Cheese is like nothing you’ve ever had. Made my wife’s birthday. Fantastic!
