My spouse and I came to Naples to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. What a great way to experience Naples as a first time visitor. The Catch of the Pelican was a great dining experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exemplary service. Curtis, our server, thoroughly knew the menu and made great suggestions after listening attentively. The food was incredible! Nothing exceeds the satisfaction of great food and service. We ventured into 5th Avenue South and had food at another reputable restaurant, and although the food was good, the service didn’t compare. For another evening, we made reservations at another place, but we canceled and returned back to the Catch and asked for Curtis. Curtis and the menu exceeded our high expectations, and there’s nothing but great praise we have for this great restaurant and staff. Thank you for adding to our experience and memories.
Best Grouper in town! The Chef is amazing! very quite atmosphere, it was actually pretty empty to my surprise being that it was sooooo good! We were there during the week and went fairly late. However, food and service did not disappoint!
The presentation was very nice but the grouper was over cooked and dried out. Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly and in a delightful sauce. Disappointing for a seafood restaurant serving such an ill prepared dish
Enjoy a wonderful dinner with a beautiful view. Mario our waiter provided excellent service.
Great food and service!
Fantastic brunch with friends. The Bloody Mary bar is unrivaled!!
What an exceptional meal with an exceptional server, Mario. He made our evening! The sea bass was the best my wife has ever had-I had the scallop special which was absolutely delicious.......we can’t wait to return on our next visit to Naples Grande!
Thank you Mario for being so kind and professional-you are a true gentleman.
I have been to this restaurant twice while staying at the Naples Grande resort and spa hotel. The food is really good. My waiters were Doug and Curtis. Doug was very attentive and polite. I enjoyed having him as a waiter. Curtis was awesome! I love his accent and how hospitable he was. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for fine dining.
Went to Saturday brunch. The Bloody Mary bar was very fun. Food is amazing! Our server was very friendly, courteous and efficient. Nice atmosphere. Kind of pricy, but worth it in my opinion.
Food was not the best. Not worth the hype. Will not go back.
Great place to celebrate birthday, even had mini cakes with candles, a complementary champagne glass, and friendly service.
Very expensive to eat off brown paper table cloth. Room is cold and very noisy. Will not return
Everything was awesome including Marcus the manager who does his job very well, Curtis was great and the food was fabulous and at a reasonable cost due to restaurant week.
From the hostess getting us to our server Mario, it was a spectacular night
food was excellent as was the service! We went here for restaurant week - large, delicious portions for the $36 special.
Went for restaurant week to try it out after the remodel from hurricane Irma was very impressed will all of the hotel n food n service will definitely return n also referr my friends to the place
Mario a.k.a Brandon was our waiter, he was awesome! We enjoyed our beautiful Grande Sunday Brunch, the brunch was nothing like we have seen, definitely a 5 stars. Their bloody Mary & champagne bar "all you can drink" had everything imaginable and all fresh. To top it off the brunch had every appetizer in the world! Then we ordered from the brunch menu "oh my" just do it no matter how satiated you think you are, you only live once! I promise you will not regret it, just remember don't eat too many appetizers or you will really miss out.

Where do I begin... From the moment we walked in EVERYTHING was top notch. We showed 45 mins late (I tried to modify time on app and it didn’t update) and we were still promptly accommodated. Our server Adrian, he is second to none. He went above and beyond over and over, and such great conversation. Truly a kind and genuine person. The food was great! All 3 of us overly satisfied with every course of our meal. But Adrian, he is why we’ll be back. Thank you for making this birthday dinner one to remember!
The hotel is way too casual and not well kept. There were puddles on the floor throughout the lobby and into the outside area. There are no directions to The Catch of the Pelican. We had to ask for directions. The restaurant, inside and out, looks like a coffee shop. There is no ambiance. The Jamaican staff was attentive - maybe the best part of the meal. We had the Restaurant Week meal. The lobster bisque was good. The grouper was good. The filet, ordered medium rare, was medium well. The accompanying vegetables were uninviting. The profiteroles were terrible. Huge globs of pastry, not lovely small puff pastries, were inedible (couldn’t cut through them), okay ice cream (who can ruin that), and an awful chocolate pastry (again couldn’t cut through) on top (where was the homemade chocolate sauce?) This is hardly the upscale dining we are used to in Naples. We will not return.
It was very enjoyable from the moment we checked in. Our server, Doug, gave us excellent service. We were not rushed through our meal. Food was very good. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience & we would go again for dinner.
We went for the Sizzle Menu and everything was excellent. Will be going back for the regular menu.
We decided to try The Catch of the Pelican for Restaurant Week as we had heard many favorable comments from others. For appetizers, our group had the Burata Caprese, Kale salad, and Lobster Bisque. Thumbs up for the Burata Caprese and the Lobster Bisque. The Tuscan Kale salad was disappointing. We all had the Mediterranean Spiced Black Grouper which was very good. Profiteroles and Blueberry-Citrus Tart rounded out the meal and were excellent! Unfortunately, our server was either overly attentive and then not attentive enough. We waited for what seemed like an eternity for our check. Her timing was off and that led to periods of uncomfortableness which disrupted what could have been a very enjoyable experience. Hence the mixed rating for this establishment.
Restaurant week in Naples Florida. Absolutely superb, to die for flavors and presentation. And value amazing. (This was the price fixed menu) regular menu more expensive. Hope they continue with the Special price fixed menu during the summer. The Chef to be applauded!
The service and food were spectacular. We celebrated our anniversary and were served complimentary champagne and a card hand signed by the wait staff.
We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and received a three course meal for $36. There was a limited wine list with bottles at 50%. Great deal but more important the food was delicious. I had grouper and friend had filet. Both were cooked perfectly and flavorful.
Went for brunch during restaurant week & food was excellent & service attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely return.
Food was good as was the service however there were some delays in the kitchen that slowed things down. Overall a nice experience for restaurant week
The Catch never disappoints. We went for restaurant week. The lobster bisque was so flavorful and the I literally cut my filet with a fork! Doug was our server and was super friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing food and wine
We had Tyrol as a waiter and while we were here last year we ate at the Catch twice and he remembered us from that time! We had amazing service and the food was excellent (both had the filet mignon over purée potatoes👍) so good! If I ever get to stay here again I will for sure come back!! Keep up the good work!!
Our Server Doug was excellent and made some terrific suggestions for appetizers and entrees. The food was outstanding and we loved the ambiance in the restaurant. Truly Naples hidden gem! We will definitely be back again!
Good food good service. Only issue we had were our steaks. We ordered to steaks to be medium and the came out medium well. The steaks tasted great though.
A friend of ours writes restaurant review blogs. We went to this restaurant for Mother's Day brunch based upon their recommendation.
Parking: we decided to park on our own and have our ticket validated by the hotel or restaurant, but that was a mistake. We couldn't get into the hotel lobby without a key card and had to trek through the parking lot in a few different directions to figure this out. When we got into the restaurant, the waitress acknowledged that they validate parking, then she came back stating they couldn't and told us we would have to do this at the hotel reception desk on our way out. We should have valeted the vehicle, which is free (who knew?).
Dining: We reserved a table and arrived fifteen minutes after opening. Once we sat down, we realized we had been at this same restaurant a few years prior for an Anniversary dinner. It used to be a steakhouse with a different name and from what I recall, that experience was good. They sat us at an inside table with a minimal view, rather than one at nearby window tables. As people arrived throughout our meal, they kept doing the same thing and folks kept asking to be moved to a scenic table (makes no sense). The service was fine, but little things were amiss. I ordered a coffee, but received no spoon and there were only four packets of sugar on the table. I had to reach over to the table next door and get what I needed. We all ordered something different and the food was decent, but the prices were way too expensive for the quality and experience. I don't usually write reviews, but there is no way I would ever go back to this place. I've been dining for many years, all over the country, in big and small towns. This is not one to write home about. I don't think they'll be in business for very long if they don't change.
The food was delicious and our server was fantastic ... friendly with great recommendations!
The service was good,as was the environment. The food was excellent. I recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate dining in a reserved setting.
Hospitable, friendly service. Good drinks. Good food. Nice view. Not horribly noisy. Longtime favorite
Great food, excellent service. Sat outdoors - got to watch sunset and was much quieter than inside.
The food and service were excellent. It is a beautiful setting. It’s a little expensive but tasty.
What a lovely restaurant! Our group of 6 dined here this past Saturday. Wonderful ambiance. Tyrone was our server and did a fantastic job. Answered all of our questions thoroughly and really wanted us to be pleased with dinner. Food was delicious. Everyone ordered something different for dinner and everyone was pleased. Top notch chefs here. We walked out feeling that every penny we spent was worth it. I would definitely go back when in the Naples area. The calamari appetizer was one of the best ones I've ever had. So good!
